What do you like about Really Simple Systems?

We've been using Really Simple Systems (RSS) for 10+ years and they've developed the product from basic CRM system, enabling Marketing and Case Management.

The main functionalities we love:
1. Email sync, so when you send or receive an email with one of your customers it tracks this in the CRM automatically.
2. Support - their technical team are great and can never do enough. I once raised a case in the morning and chased them a couple of hours later thinking there was something wrong, as I was so used to them responding within an hour.
3. Customisation - you can add fields, easily and simply or get RSS support to do this for you.
4. Reporting - you can report on any field and users can do this with little training.
5. Ease of use - as it says its Really Simple - its been designed to be easy to pick up and use.
6. Web transactions - automatically inserting entries from webforms or emails into RSS.
7. Availability - for a SAAS product its very rare to have any downtime or maintenance.

What do you dislike about Really Simple Systems?

Some of the dashboards are lacking in functionality, would be great if you could create your own.
Deep levels of customisation this does involve service charges.
Case Management - its missing automated emails being sent to customers when a support case is updated.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Really Simple Systems solve?

Sales team - track all customer interactions, sales and perform weekly / monthly / quarterly reporting
Marketing team - send email shots, notifications, product updates, launches
Technical team - record all support issues for customers and suppliers, reporting on KPI's
Accounts - track customer sales through to invoicing
Operations - can get a holistic view of all their customer and supplier issues

Listing reports are so easy! Customisation options, marketing module, web transactions - activities are a god send!

Mobile usage is painful! Needs a screen bigger than 23" to see all the columns you want, or you have to zoon out and my eyes aren't god enough!

I love how easy this systems is to use.
I also really appreciate how fast RSS customer services get back to you when you are having problems.

What do you dislike about Really Simple Systems?

I don't think there is anything I dislike about the system.
If I had to something it would be function of running a report and downloading it as a CSV, sometimes this messes with the formatting on excel.

Easy but Powerful system

What do you like about Really Simple Systems?

The main things I feel it has going for it is that it is very competitively priced and extremely easy to use. Despite being one of the cheapest CRM tools available, it provides a feature set that will allow you to manage a large database, identify business opportunities, track communications and manage a sales pipeline with ease. The learning curve is not steep at all, and for startups without much of a budget to invest in tools like CRM, it won't break the bank.

What do you dislike about Really Simple Systems?

This CRM system is really powerful, however, the change to there latest version was not entirely smooth and some features we enjoyed having before have now been removed. When contacted support to request reimplementation of the features, they tried to offer a poor workaround.

Despite this, I still think the software is really powerful and intuitive

Switching from Zoho we have found Really Simple Systems to be a very easy to use and powerful CRM. One of the key strenths for us is the speed in which our sales teams can update the system.

We have also had bespoke reporting built and customer service has been exceptional in helping us get the most of the system

Really Simple Systems is very user friendly and proves to be an effective and efficient CRM. The best feature in my opinion is the synchronisation with Outlook to automate email tracking

Truthfully I haven't found anything that I 'dislike' about it - I wish it was a bit more tablet/phone orientated but perhaps I am missing something. Maybe an App could be good?

What do you like about Really Simple Systems?

I have been looking for an easy to use CRM for ages, and when I came across Really Simple Systems I thought "it can't be as easy as that" - but it is! The menus are obvious, the report facility is straightforward to use and comprehensive, and the support excellent. And it is great value for money. Still waiting for the catch, but so far it is far exceeding my expectations.

What do you dislike about Really Simple Systems?

Apparently I have to enter at least 80 characters in this part of the review, but I cannot think of anything worth saying as there is nothing I dislike.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Really Simple Systems solve?

We just wanted a simple database to maintain our contacts on, to share information between us all, and to keep track of tasks.

A very capable CRM - capable enough to convert even me to a paying customer!

What do you like about Really Simple Systems?

The freemium model is enough to get anyone new to CRM started quickly. I wanted something that tells me what, when and how I did something, to whom and when, what the outcome was, and will then nag me to do the next thing. And, for me, RSS does all that perfectly. So well in fact, that I upgraded to get Two Way Mailsync and allows me over 100 customer accounts, which is worth it.

I went to their first user conference in 2016, and what impressed me greatly was not only how good and enthusiastic the CEO and his staff were, but also the other customers. I'd already experienced support via both phone and email (even though I was on the free plan at the time), and it was nice to actually meet the team for real, and know that they aren't outsourced from some sweatshop in a distant place.

It's a UK company with a "proper" UK phone number, although there are support offices in other countries too, to account for the timezones which is good. Finally, they run free webinars which are also recorded in case you can't make it on the day. These are worth watching - I found I was missing several tricks and now get even more out of the system. I'm particularly impressed with the email integration which saves the whole endless copying and pasting debacle. It really is simple, but perfect at what it does.

What do you dislike about Really Simple Systems?

If I absolutely have to find a gripe with it, it would be that there are some layout quirks with changing fields in the main company details, and if you change a field from one type to another, it doesn't always go to plan. But that is really one tiny minor detail.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Really Simple Systems solve?

As a micro business owner, I have to do everything from developing to sales and marketing, and I suspect like many geek-run businesses like mine, I love the first part and loathe the latter. I'd found a few tools that do a limited number of things very well and help my business in other ways, like Trello, Toggl, gmail and so on, but I was struggling to find a CRM equivalent. I'd tried a few SAAS cloud solutions that would have been overpriced, and I tried installing a couple of open source solutions like SuiteCRM which proved to be way over the top and bloated for my needs. Finally I hit upon RSS CRM and we were the perfect match.

What do you like about Really Simple Systems?

It is not too complicated but it is not a polished suite either. The marketing add-on attached us as it is connected and hopefully we will get it working and white labeled.

What do you dislike about Really Simple Systems?

Poor instructions. White Labeling so emails go from our domain is not easy. The Marketing packet does not flow, you have to use Campaign, email, Stage etc. Why is it all bits? We are only 50% likely to give it 1 more try before testing other systems.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Really Simple Systems solve?

When I took over BACH everyone had lists. Database and Excel and none were up to date or correct. Using a CRM we have fixed that. The emailing has not been fixed and we export the data so are again creating lists!!

The company name does what is says on the tin, it really is a simple system! Easy to navigate around, edit, create reports and manage our sales funnel. I would strongly recommend this CRM package to any business, we were up and running as a sales team in no time at all.

What do you like about Really Simple Systems?

What makes RSS special is the way the customer support is so personal and the fact that they always go the extra mile in terms of making quite sure that your query has been resolved. In terms of functionality RSS provides everything we need at an affordable price. We don't use all of its capabilities but it's nice to know we can extend our usage as our requirements change without having to switch systems.

What do you dislike about Really Simple Systems?

Not much! We're still using the old interface, which is not always as intuitive as it might be. But we're going to be shortly upgrading to the latest version of the product so I'm hopeful that it will be easier to get to grips with. That said, this is only a minor gripe and as with so many software systems, once you know what you're doing, it all works fine.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Really Simple Systems solve?

The catalyst for getting started with RSS was when we went from having one sales person to having two. It was immediately essential for each person to have visibility over everything, whilst still being able to manage their own activities. RSS met that reqyuirememt and also made us more efficient in terms of managing our sales activities.

What do you like about Really Simple Systems?

It is a comprehensive system. I like the updated sales part. It is now easier to navigate and better on the eye.

Support is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. They are also in the main very quick to respond.

What do you dislike about Really Simple Systems?

The lack of training video's. The video's cover the bare basics and they need to go into more depth. If topics are not covered by video then the scripts are often to difficult to follow or again don't go into enough depth. Support takes on some of the work better video's could do.
The marketing part is in development and it is very much needed to be updated.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Really Simple Systems solve?

Full CRM functionality - sales and marketing although not every feature is in our current package. It serves it's purpose for what a CRM system should do for our processes.
