What do you like about Jira Software?

We used JIRA to have a single point of communication of all internal tickets and issues of our products. It is integrated with our cloud active directory so a single sign on greatly improves the security posture of our system.

What do you dislike about Jira Software?

There are times that the JIRA ticket is not accessible and it turns out that the ticket is already overriden by a new one. It should only redirect to it but unfortunately it still stays on the original link.

Having a single point of reference for all users. Either a developer, technical support, managers or simply an employee can have an idea on the improvement inside the organization with the necessary user access of course.

What do you like about Jira Software?

Ticket request form fields and set up is customizable to your team's needs and JIRA offers users a number of plugins that will connect with other Atlassian tools, including Confluence (and coming soon they promise Trello). One can successfully get what they need accomplished, using tags, watching, and moving tickets. The customizable workflows are a great way to set the tool up for any work process and this helped us get up and running with our user request tickets quicker than I would have imagined when we started the process.

What do you dislike about Jira Software?

he look and feel of the user interface is not intuitive or user friendly - I often find it confusing and the flow of navigating from one thing to the next, or back to a higher-level view of my project's status is clunky. I would like to see it be streamlined with more simplistic visuals and a clearer workflow. As well, when the custom form was built, I find the breaking up (and ability for anyone to edit) frustrating - it's very difficult to get a comprehensive view of what the request is at a glance.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Jira Software solve?

We used JIRA as a request intake platform, a system to track tickets after request, and to communicate with end users about the status and timeline of the work they requested. Organizationally, we moved to a different platform but it was a good change. We were able to successfully take in and track requests, set up our own workflow, and complete tickets.

Some addons require pays for quantities users numbers in jira.
Atlassian runs maintenance without warn.
If you want to change the portal URL this wont possible. Be careful in this.

Jira jas great tool to drive agile methodologies, it has a lot of transparency about every team member work at any given point in between a sprint. Jira extremely powerful and has nearly endless features. The task management feature is great. Either individually or as a group, all views are helpful. I am able to track my tasks, assign people to get opinions and help, and get a quick snapshot of what I need to do on a weekly basis. It is a very user-friendly interface and it has decent reporting.

Permissions are not simple to manage: very often it will happen that a certain user lacks the permission to start or stop a sprint or to move certain issues. Many teams only need task management, not an entire fully integrated platform. Because of this, Jira also runs a bit slow sometimes.
