Mixpanel is a mobile and web-based analytics platform that allows users to ask more of their data without needing to write SQL queries.

Mixpanel is a custom event based analytics programme for mobile and web. The app allows users to go much further than measuring their site’s page views by reporting on visitor actions, not views.

Mixpanel is able to ask complex questions by breaking apart events (interactions between people and product) by the properties wanting to be explored. Questions such as, ‘which Google Adwords campaign gives us the most paying users?’ can be explored.

Mixpanel can help businesses to increase conversions by locating where customers are lost at any stage in a process, and run experiments to fix issues that are discovered.

What do you like about Mixpanel?

Mixpanel simplified real-time tracking and analysis of user behaviour. I appreciate that i can track user interactions across apps, create custom reports, and visualise data. The UI is easy to use, and segmenting users and tracking their journeys is a great way to enhance the performance of the software. It offers insights into what is effective and what requires modification by the real-time analytics.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

More integration possibilities would be useful, as some complex functions can be challenging to set up without technical experience. To make the tool more user-friendly for those who are not specialists, the instructions for more complicated configurations should be more apparent.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Mixpanel solve?

I have used it to tracked user behaviour in mobile apps, kept user information logs, and collected location data for every user using Mixpanel for data analytics. Thanks to its deeper insights into user behaviour, it has helped us better understand how users engage with our apps, enhance features, and address performance issues.

"The best tool for deep analysis of customer interactions"


What do you like about Mixpanel?

It is the tool that we use to completely analyze the interaction of customers with our products, we know what the interest of customers is only by accessing our account and we can visualize from the central dashboard which is the area most viewed by customers, this allows us to improve decision making, we also receive email notifications for a faster response. I also love Mixpanel's tech support because their response time is usually just a few minutes.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

The initial configuration can be a bit complex for users with little experience, due to this it is necessary to go to the Mixpanel technical service in the initial stage, this is resolved after the first two weeks, I consider it a powerful and safe analysis tool.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Mixpanel solve?

The problems of behavior analysis, tracking, interaction are some problems that we were able to solve thanks to Mixpanel, its implementation was the best decision and it is possible to improve the income of the company with good planning and this software helps to know what aspects we must change to acquire new customers.

We use Mixpanel on a regular basis, and it has greatly improved communication and collaboration inside our company. The platform's user interface is intuitive and packed with tools that will enhance our productivity, teamwork, and efficiency. I like how simple it is to customize our calendar to our needs; now, we can easily keep track of our schedule, plan ahead, and make last-minute changes as they arise. The ability to communicate in real time with one another and with clients, vendors and other stakeholders is invaluable.

No significant problems have arisen when utilizing this application; nevertheless, it might use some improvement in the areas of alert management and personalized message.

What do you like about Mixpanel?

The ease of use of Mixpanel is easily its best feature, allowing you to create graphics quickly with a few points and clicks. Its user interface is also quite agile and well designed. It is the modern version of an analysis tool that comes to help developers in an excellent way. The fact that it can analyze and track errors in the application makes it an even more effective tool. You can track all the activities in your application through an accurate and in-depth analysis.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

Although the tool offers the best analysis for any developer, it is not so easy to use. It has a learning curve and, therefore, it is not easy for a beginner to evade all the features that the tool has to offer in a short period so it is very easy to get caught by a part of your tool set and not be aware of other tools that can be very useful. The documentation is complex for any developer who is a beginner.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Mixpanel solve?

Mixpanel is used in the company to know what users want through the A/B test function that it has. We can also track each individual activity that is done in terms of user activities. The analysis of mobile phone applications allows us to be in the process of development, since we can use it to carry out the analysis in a short period of time. In general, we use it to improve our applications and monitor usage.

The tool is very suitable for companies with e-commerce platforms. Mixpanel is well suited to monitor website visitors and segmentation based on particular events; helps capture visitor activities and presents data in a very clean way.

What do you like about Mixpanel?

Mixpanel allows me to answer all questions about my users' behavior for my leadership team. At a small startup where the UI is constantly changing, mixpanel has made it easy to track the success of each new feature without a lot of api/database overhead. We have also integrated mixpanel into our a/b testing framework (it provides a nice UI for the data visualization) and use it every day for standard user behavior monitoring. Love that we can do filters for differnt timeframes now.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

Mixpanel's distict_id concept seemed backwards at first and took our team a little while to wrap our heads around. Differences between your core DB and mixpanel numbers can be troublesome, make sure you send in lots of data so you can segment properly and explain these. I also don't like that data is fully immutable, would like to be able to delete easier.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Mixpanel solve?

Unless you're explicitly sending events, chances are the data in your core DBs will lack some behavioral actions (ex. starting flows without finishing). We use it to undersatnd the actions our users take that aren't stored in our core DB. We've also used it for email campaigns in the past.
