"Extensive social monitoring platform"


What do you like about Hootsuite?

I used hootsuite to handle social media accounts of multiple clients while working with an agency and it's a very useful tool while monitoring multiple social channels. The platform let's you add multiple streams which are priority for your. Also, scheduling and campaigns are very easy to perform. Definitely recommend it for agencies. Pricing is another benefit compared to other competitive tools.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

UI of hootsuite is pretty dull. That's one thing, and also social listening and response management is something I find difficult to use. Hoping to get better and advanced features for that.

What do you like about Hootsuite?

Hootsuite is really easy to use, both for scheduling posts and reporting. I like how simple it is to tag social media accounts, which is not the case for other tools. One thing I really appreciate about Hootsuite is that it provides access to stock images, which helps save time searching for images, and dissolves anxiety about copyright issues.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

The Facebook side of Hootsuite is not 100% as it lacks reporting on KPIs that are important to me, which means I have to combine Facebook reporting between Hootsuite and Facebook.

The application as such tends to be very intuitive, but sometimes the desktop version is rougher than the mobile application, especially when handling the part of scheduled publications. Finally, if we manage a free subscription we have limitations with the reports, which has not improved with the passing of time.

Hootsuite has been ideal for teams of several people, looking at it from a cost perspective. The report is reasonably actionable if we look at it from a small business. By implementing the use of Hootsuite we can organize each of our social networks from a much higher perspective through a single control panel. We like the speed with which this program allows us to perform our searches of each social network, whose system allows us to add keywords and even hashtags to find content published in some period of time, or simply to find a user within social networks , everything we can do with Hootsuite is amazing.

Hootsuite is an excellent program easy to use, however there are some things that I would like to improve that would be what I dislike. I would really like it to be a little cheaper, and another problem I've had is that there are times when it costs to upload the videos. Because all types of formats are not compatible. Hootsuite is the best version of social media management that we can currently have in which we can plan and automate publications on our most popular social networks. I like how the platform interface is managed, it is quite striking, intelligent and easy to use. Your genuine reports are quite important to obtain information from our subscribers, so we can have a more assertive communication with our customers.

One thing must be taken into account in negative Hootsuite terms and it may be that the service provided in the mobile application is not the same as that provided on the web. The phone is outdated and there are features that are more complicated to implement.

If you want to improve your business advertising on social networks, Hootsuite is your best option. You can use it on all devices, and it is highly recommended to work with instagram, facebook, linkedin and all other networks.

What do you like about Hootsuite?

Hootsuite is highly orientated to manage, oversee and supervise how social networks of your company are evolving and getting involved into people and how far your content can reach in order to give a courteous and right opinion of how influent and popular is your company among people on the country, even the continent or the whole world if I take this in consideration. Also, this tool is extremely easy to use and offers a genuinely concept of how social media is handled. Allow users to program and schedule posts per day o per hour, measure audience and set the trend with the most followed hashtags in several windows that are easy to use.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

I would rather use the desktop client than the web client, sometimes the web interface give my people several mistakes or suddenly starts to create unknown columns with irrelevant information to measure or to hold on with. Actually this happens because the web client is based on the free version of the software, but once you get the full version of it this kind of bugs are solved and you don’t have to complain about these mistakes.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Hootsuite solve?

Thanks to Hootsuite we are now able to see how the data is handled and how clients want to take their content to the next level of influence and getting to more people, gaining followers, etc. Also, this tool allows your team to run data analysis and take the final results for the month, semester or even the whole year of content in order to make a presentation with their superiors and tell them how influencer is the company thanks to the content implied on social media.

What do you like about Hootsuite?

About Hootsuit, this great platform allows us to manage our profiles in social networks whether personal or business.
What I love about this tool is that it offers the option of creating a variety of columns such as messages, TL, lists, etc. Making the work easier and more organized in this way. It also allows programs tweets and brings a link shortener.

What do you like about Hootsuite?

I found Hootsuite to be useful for me as running the social media is just a small part of my job. By using hootsuite then I can schedule our social media posts months in advance. You can choose multiple feeds to post to simultaneously, meaning you don't need to post it individually on each site. Hootsuite streamlines your entire social media process, simplifying all your channels on one page. You can also set up RSS feeds to your social media sites using Hootsuite too!

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

I find the software rather expensive when I had managed to do more research into other software however was a bit too late to move. Despite this I think Hootsuite is good value

What have you been using it for and what problems did Hootsuite solve?

Allowed me to streamline all my social media at once AND in advance and saves time having to do each platform separately. It keeps your content congruent on all platforms and is extremely user friendly.

If you ever consider how all the big companies can manage all those big campaigns across multiple social media networks, this is how they do it.
You have to be there were your users are, with Hootsuite you can be there everytime, when it counts

The schedulling part is a bit tricky, but you get used to it. Also is great for big businesses with more users for the same networks.

What do you like about Hootsuite?

HootSuite is a very helpful tool for managing multiple social media accounts. The main feature I appreciate is the ability to schedule posts for multiple accounts quickly and easily. I was doing social media posts for several different companies at once, and posting was almost a constant all day job, but once I started using HootSuite I was able to schedule all the posts for the entire month for all the companies on a matter of a couple hours!

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

There are a few things about the user experience that could be better. I would like certain views (like when I am scheduling posts I like the week view, but it always reverts to the list view) to be set and remembered. I could also use some more organizational tools like folders or color codes. I am managing a lot of accounts and it can get confusing

What have you been using it for and what problems did Hootsuite solve?

HootSuite allows me to manage multiple social media accounts WAY easier than juggling a ton of logins and trying to post at the right times. It turns a fulltime all the time job into a once a month task.

What do you like about Hootsuite?

I've tried a lot of different services meant to simplify and streamline and organize the social media maintenance process. Most are at least halfway decent, but Hootsuite is the one that held on to me, even when they shifted their business model and made using their service pricier a few years back.

Their dashboard has become my control panel in large part because of how well it plays with their Chrome plugin, Hootlet. I use Twitter partially to follow folks who know a lot about their field, but also to curate what I find via them, and my own research. The Hootlet applet allows me to do that just by clicking a button — it autofills the requisite fields, and I can choose which networks it goes to, when, and how the posts look.

Autoschedule is amazing in this regard, as it'll help space out what you share each day, so that you don't cluster a bunch of posts at an inopportune moment, because that happens to be when you read and shared them.

It's also convenient to have several streams visible all at once, so you can keep tabs on keywords and other social media accounts all at once. There are higher-level, more-pro tools available, as well, that allow you to operate in tandem with other team members, but I haven't found much utility for them. I'm guessing they would work well for teams, but the price goes up fairly steeply beyond the initial paid-for version of the service.

I manage multiple projects, and therefore have multiple accounts on several services. You run into a paywall at a certain point, if you have too many, but I think the standard $6.99 level would suffice for most individuals juggling a handful of projects.

They also recently added some basic analytics to every paid account. What they give you isn't as fleshed out as offerings elsewhere, but it's a nice, broad collection of information.

My favorite thing about Hootsuite is how well it generally works, and how smoothly the fundamentals fall into place. Other services have similar offerings at competitive prices, but the rhythm of using Hootsuite is simpler and works well more of the time for more purposes, in my experience.

What do you dislike about Hootsuite?

Sometimes the applet fails to open, or fails to auto-populate the share fields. Which isn't the end of the world, but is surprisingly annoying in the moment, when you just want to share and have it in your queue, rather than worrying about filling those fields. This is alongside other random glitches, where periodically my dashboard will fail to load, the applet will load the wrong information, conversations on Twitter won't load correctly, or the formatting will disappear. Little issues that most services deal with, and which Hootsuite has, but probably no more often than its competitors.

I've also found that, at times, the streams don't update as quickly as other apps. Which makes sense, as they're presumably pinging the services (like Twitter) and receiving updates somewhat irregularly compared to the main service. But at times I find myself opening Twitter alongside Hootsuite, because I can't be sure what I'm seeing is the most up-to-date information.

For what I do, and the amount that I use social media (alongside my professional efforts), the monthly cost makes a lot of sense, as it provides me with a lot of value. I'm not sure the paid version would be worth it for everyone, though — especially those people who use it to keep up with conversations and interactions with others, rather than using it as more of a publishing platform.

I'm also not a huge fan of how posting to Instagram is managed on Hootsuite, but as I understand it, that's not entirely their fault.
