It was easy to create beautiful emails and to make templates so my colleagues could replicate what I did. I loved the feature to duplicate previous mailings, which saved me a lot of time recreating our monthly newsletter, which rarely changed format. The reporting and analytics features were useful as well, though I don't know that we used them to the fullest.
There are many features to Emma, but I think it's difficult to use the system to the fullest without many hours of researching. We definitely did not utilize the analytics to the best of our ability, and I often had trouble managing imported lists and removing people en masse if needed.
During editing, the system would frequently time out and it was difficult to edit styles and text. Sometimes I would be working on an email and it would time out and not save, then I'd lose my progress.
I used Emma at an Ivy League university to help multiple departments launch and run newsletters that would adhere to brand guidelines. We needed something that would allow people to send professional looking emails without any tech or design experience. This was helpful for that.
