"The Ultimate Enterprise Service Management Software Out There!"


What do you like about ChangeGear?

What's not to like about ChangeGear is the better question. St. Mary's Hospital loves the ease of use and ability to fully customize the application into what our specific environment needs. From the moment we came into contact with Sunview software our partnership has been more like family type relationship.

The Sales team worked with our facility to meet our financial parameters and the Professional Services Team worked with me to get ChangeGear installed and configured. They were both very helpful and patient throughout the entire process. I had reviewed and tested many different ITSM/ESM software companies but nothing could compare the the look and feel of Sunview Software's ChangeGear.

The Dashboard allows me to see what current IT needs are going on and it allows me to make real time decisions based on the metrics given. The Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence features (Smart Recommender) has made on-boarding quicker and easier. Training used to be about six weeks but with Machine Learning and AI our training for our new Service/Help Desk Staff has been modified to three to four weeks. With the smart features like predictive analytics I am able to staff my team on days that are the busiest.

Before ChangeGear I was guessing at what my busiest days were. Other smart features like the Suggestion Center helps my staff resolve issues by suggesting knowledge base articles that give instruction how to resolve incidents. The KB's can also be shared with end users for DIY fixes.

We implemented the Service Management Platform that utilizes ITIL based processes. Because of these processes that are available out of the box, ChangeGear has turned our IT department around by allowing us to use Service, Incident, Problem and Change Management to track all our IT processes.

We added another module call Project to allow us to take advantage of the ESM suite that Sunview has to offer. Allowing us to keep all aspects of our IT progress in one ticket system allows us to provide better reporting and actually see what projects, problems or incidents are related in any way, shape or form.

I recommend Sunview Software as a company and I recommend ChangeGear as a product. The software is solid and has performed beyond my expectations.

What do you dislike about ChangeGear?

I wouldn't say there are things that I dislike but there would be a few things that I would have done differently. One being, using their Support site and knowledge base articles. If you don't know what you're looking for then you don't know how to search for it. As far as the actual software is concerned there are some configuration changes that require some coding and since I am not a coder I get lost and have to ask for help. Sunview Support is always willing to help though.

What have you been using it for and what problems did ChangeGear solve?

We use the complete ESM product: Service, Incident, Problem, Change CMDB, Knowledge Base, Self Service Port/Chatbot, Service Catalog, Reporting, Survey and Project.

ChangeGear helped us solve the time invested in on-boarding new staff, Incident and Problem Management, Change Management and providing all end users with a self service portal.

Our old ticket system could not handle the ITIL process and workflow and since ChangeGear has this already in place out of the box it was an easy implementation. With Change Management, ChangeGear helped us with the approval process and linking related items together to keep all associated tickets together.

We had several broken processes and with ChangeGear helping me create SLA's and escalation policies we have found that our time to resolve has improved immensely. The smart features help with ticket creation and the smart responder sends and email notification to the end user with a knowledge base article related to their incident so they can have a DIY fix.

We have had a wide variety of issues in the past but with the implementation of ChangeGear almost all of our issues have been either resolved or on the road to recovery.
