Publishing and Issuing files to clients, and being able to track files leaving the office. Excellent support, and the development team are open to feature requests. 12d Synergy is an easy to use Document Management System (DMS) that can be setup to handle simple to complex workflows and integrates with a variety of software packages including 12d Model, Civil 3d and the Microsoft office suite including management of emails. Our business uses 12d Synergy because it allows us to manage resource sharing across geographical regions and offices. The ability to review historical changes to data (and rollback if necessary) was an improvement on previous systems and is a key component of managing data integrity on a project.
12d Synergy has reports that can be run produced for understanding usage and file tracking information, however more detailed analytics out of the box would allow greater transparency for the administration side of 12d Synergy.
