""Excellent file transfer and storage""

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox's ease of use is one of its most notable features. The service is easy to use and straightforward, making it simple for anyone to begin storing and sharing files quickly. Users can easily upload and manage files thanks to the clear and simple user interface.

Dropbox's compatibility with a wide range of platforms and devices is yet another great feature. Desktop and mobile apps, as well as web browsers, are all ways to use the service. This makes it staggeringly advantageous for clients to get to their records from any place, whenever.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Despite my appreciation for Dropbox's overall functionality, the pricing has always bothered me. I find that the price can be a little too high, especially for higher tiers with more storage space. Moreover, there have been a few worries about security and protection with distributed storage as a rule, and in spite of the fact that Dropbox has put forth attempts to address these worries, something actually makes me a piece vigilant. Nevertheless, despite these drawbacks, Dropbox remains a useful tool for my storage and collaboration requirements.

"Be safe with dropbox"

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is a tool that I find extremely useful, it is a pretty good innovation. With this tool I can be very sure that all my information that I save on my smart device or computer will be safe.
This virtual disk that represents dropbox, allows me to access all the information on my computer at any time and place in the world, as long as it has an internet connection.
One of the things that I find useful is that Dropbox is saved on my computer as one more folder, but with much more order, it allows me to access each document in a simpler way.
What is most useful to me is the advantage of having all the information on my computer safe in the cloud, this prevents me that if at some point a misfortune occurs with my computer, where I can not have my documents again, I know that they will remain safe on that virtual hard drive.
In addition, Dropbox is responsible for automatically updating each change we make in our documents from the computer, this tool updates it directly in the cloud.
This tool offers a fairly large space to store all our content from photos, documents, videos, among others, it is 10 GB that allows us to have all our information safe.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

One of its disadvantages is that even though you want to access your documents, files, videos or photos, from somewhere other than your computer, you must have internet access.
a disadvantage is that dropbox has a storage limit, and this especially affects companies where the amount of files that are stored daily is a lot. To acquire more space, an additional cost must be paid to enjoy this service offered by dropbox.
And finally dropbox does not allow several people to update documents, files, photos, videos, among others, at the same time, only one user must work at a time.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

Some time ago I lost my mobile device where I had stored great information about study, work and family. Thanks to the fact that months before I had created a dropbox account, I was able to retrieve this information. I think that is its most striking feature, being able to have all your information stored in a space on the internet.

"Unbelievably a reliable software"

What do you like about Dropbox?

The Dropbox is a cloud storage software. From when I use this software I am tension free for my safety, security and storage of my valuable data, information as well as documents. The main advantage of Dropbox is its storage capacity. I can link all of my drives of the PC along with Android Phone. If you are a free user, you can get 25 GB storage capacity. Again, if you are a premium user, you can get one TB storage capacity. So you can tension freely use Dropbox .It help me to connect with all my friends and staffs and I can share my data without separately mailing.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Honestly, I don't get anything negative to Dropbox. But if the server is down, I have some complexities to work. The premium user has to pay a little bit amount which most of the user can not bear. So, they only use the trail version and the become deprived from the opportunity of Dropbox.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

Dropbox has brought the whole world to me and under my control because I can handle all of my office staff, manage all my data, import all my documents within a second. So, I personally use Dropbox and suggest people to use it.

"Much more extensive ability to manage files."

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is a platform in charge of storage functionalities in the cloud, therefore, its main objective is to offer stability in the administration and management of all the stored files to all users. One of the things I like the most about this platform is that it has an excellent application for mobile phones, capable of performing functions that are really similar to those obtained by using Dropbox on a computer. I consider that the application for mobile phones that Dropbox offers is quite complete, it allows users to manage, upload and download all types of files in a matter of minutes and regardless of where they are. I hope this application maintains this margin of functionality with all users, since currently, it leaves a good experience.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

There is a single negative feature that stood out a lot during my experience with this platform, and it is necessary to mention it because it was an issue that must be fixed as soon as possible to allow better performance in new users. My negative opinion about Dropbox is regarding its free trial. I had access to this free trial for a certain time, however, I dare to say that this free trial is very incomplete, not providing access to functionalities that are necessary for the user to get to know the platform on a large scale, such as Also, it offers very little storage space, which further limits what each user can do during this trial period. In my personal and professional opinion, I think that this free trial should be more accessible, it should have more features that attract the user's attention.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

Despite the few benefits I was able to get during the free trial period, after purchasing one of the plans Dropbox offers, I started to get better results almost immediately. This platform currently helps me keep my files much more secure, thanks to a system that offers a functionality that encrypts the information in the files, this helps me feel much more confident when uploading my files to the Dropbox cloud. This platform has also allowed me a much faster sharing of files within the various sectors of my company, in a matter of seconds I can share a file or document with any of my colleagues without having any problem or difficulty. I believe that Dropbox has come to my company to allow me a perfect administration of my files and to allow me to have greater security, without a doubt I will continue to use it.

"Dropbox Review"

What do you like about Dropbox?

I like about Dropbox that it is very easy to use and have a friendly user interface on the desktop and mobile app versions, it supports almost all platforms, I use it on windows PC, android phone, and iPhone as well, the sync+ between devices is smooth and flexible you can select what to sync as you want, you can setup automatic syncing for photos and videos on the mobile app, you can upload a file and share it by sending the sharing link to whoever you want to share with because Dropbox was among the first cloud file storage apps, its supported by many 3rd party apps and platforms like Microsoft cloud service. There is free version of Dropbox, which gives you 2GB of space initially. The business version gives you a lot more space along with some business-related features, like user privileges access, People Pages, Shared File locking, and files rewind which I found it very useful in the business environment, it allows you to restore previous versions of files which deleted up to 6 months back.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Space offered by the free version is much limited (2GB), which you will find quickly filled up, especially if you use it to store media and photos, many other cloud storage and syncing apps will give you much more than this amount for free, Also in the free version you can’t store files online-only, if you don’t want your Dropbox files to fill space in your local hard drive then you must switch to the paid version, you can select folders not to be synced locally, but you won’t see them on your local hard drive, and the paid version can be expensive.
As a trade for integrating with other major services, Dropbox doesn’t offer zero-knowledge encryption, meaning Dropbox can access your data stored on their servers if they want to, while this is the case in most major online services, but if you worry about this issue then you should look for another vendor who offers zero-knowledge encryption.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

As one of the first cloud service storage in the market I have been using Dropbox for a long time, the app is amazing I found it quite helpful in my work environment and private use as well, They made it as simple as possible which is very easy to learn and manage files. The app allows me to share work files with my colleagues and collaborate with them on our daily tasks and projects.
For the work environment the, Dropbox Business is more suitable as it comes with business-related features like larger cloud storage space, and sharing control and permission, you can customize the access permissions among your college and track the user activity such as sign-ins and edits this is useful features in the work environment and Dropbox provides it using the administrative tools. Another Dropbox feature I found it useful that is the file rewind which allows you to recover back files that you accidentally deleted.
The free version of Dropbox gives you 2GB of space which is quite small, but you can extend that amount by referring friends.

What do you like about Dropbox?

I like how the cloud instantly backups up files from mobile or desktop. You can find files through search. The step by step guide is very easy and helpful.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

When trying to download larger files the mobile version isn't as flexible as the desktop. Difficult to share individual folders and the pricing.

"Easy to use and very useful for saving files"

What do you like about Dropbox?

I have been using Dropbox for years and it is one of the best tools I know, I have had the application for relatively recently and so far it is wonderful. Very secure and intuitive, also very versatile and I can manage my files between PC and mobile in seconds, in addition to being able to share my projects very easily and on various platforms.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

For a long time, the PC application has not synchronized the files, and there is no technical support unless you use a paid account and in the question community, the moderators respond with generic help that is useless (when you answer ...) As if that were not enough, the storage space you have is little

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

I had a problem with data loss, and although it was difficult to find the contact form, I responded after a few days with the solution (a link to restore whatever in the last 30 days). In any case, it seems to me an application with slow, limited modalities that do not make the daily process of uploading and downloading data dynamic.

"I trust Dropbox for its age and security."

What do you like about Dropbox?

For years I have used Dropbox to store my work and personal files, Dropbox is very easy to use anyone can start using it, first with a free account and if it suits your needs you can get a paid account.

Dropbox is available on any device, this has benefited me a lot because I spend more time on my cell phone than on the PC, and it facilitates sending files by email, I just have to send a link to the file so that the recipient can download.

Security is always good, and when working with even more delicate material, Dropbox provides the security I need to trust you with my work files.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

The only thing I don't like about Dropbox is that the free account you use the first time has very little storage space, other services offer more in your free account.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

For years I have been working more with digital material than paper, that is why it is necessary to have a medium where it is stored in the cloud and thus have a backup of the information, Dropbox is what we use to store important documents and files, if you Something happens to the files on paper or on our hard drives, we are not concerned because we have the copies carefully stored in drobox. We have also used it to link heavy files through email, through the download line.

"Perfect Solution For Files Storage And Sharing"

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is the best tool with the ability to access files from any device and it's excellent software. Synchronizing with office laptop and home desktop makes it easy for me to access files from anywhere. Even the mobile version is very good and there aren't many issues. Sharing files and folders to other users with restricted access makes everything under control. You can access the dropbox folder using the system file manager and copy, paste files and folders inside
The first thing is easy to access files from any device. Also syncing files and folders between computers was a manual process until I install dropbox.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

I don't have anything that I didn't like!. The only noticeable issue is on the free version it only has 2GB space and that is very low compared to other providers.

"Cloud Storage for Collaboration"

What do you like about Dropbox?

One of the great things is that Dropbox allows backing up of files in a very simple way. By just dragging files and dropping in the Dropbox folder, files get backed up on their own. These files, great enough, can be accessed anywhere and on any device giving a seamless working experience. Sharing of files among team members to increase productivity is made possible as backed files can be downloaded through download links. Files can be edited online and additions will be saved automatically. Dropbox has a great web interface and also mobile and desktop applications that ensures that data is always available on the go. Dropbox is easy to scale for any size of an organization and it has great file management system to allow easy sorting and easy access to files.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Dropbox file download links are long and they give trouble with sharing unless a link shortening tool is used which gives a lot of work.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

"Sharing and Collaborating in the cloud"

What do you like about Dropbox?

It is hassle free to store files in the Dropbox cloud from any device. The Dropbox application on both desktops and mobile devices creates a folder that files that need to backed up are just transfered to the folder. Dropbox automatically synchronizes all data in the folder so that it can be easily accessed on any device by just logging in on the other device. It is easy to group different file types in Dropbox and files can be shared with a team by giving a team accessibility to some files using credentials or using a download link to access the data. Its search function reduces the time spent looking for files by populating files fast and Dropbox generally runs fast both web version and the application.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

The mobile application lags sometimes and it is favorable to use the web version. Sometimes download links go offline or expire without notice.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

We use Dropbox to back up our data in the cloud so that we can access it on every computer that we can log in on. It also helps us to prevent data loss that can be caused by viruses or physical computer damage. We share files easily as a team and that helps in collaborating easily.

"cloud storage for your files"

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox has really had the expected performance and has provided all the necessary features for the proper development of mass storage features. I believe that Dropbox has been stable enough, to have complete file storage and transaction system and worth buying, with extremely secure cloud storage in every way. During my experience, several positive factors have emerged which have achieved a perfect development and establishment of storage, these factors are:
Dropbox has a storage system that is too fast, capable of transferring files with many MB capacity, in just a few minutes. It is one of the fastest cloud storage platforms currently.
It has a perfect web platform, capable of providing the user with speed when managing their files, importing or exporting any type of document is extremely fast using the web version.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

All these positive factors have allowed each user to adapt correctly to the functions of the platform, however, during my experience, there have also been several negative factors that have significantly affected my business development, and the use of Dropbox, these factors are:

The application for mobile phones should be a bit more optimized since currently, this application does not allow you to transfer several files or transfer files with a lot of weight. This application is only for storing files in the cloud, and for transferring basic files.
The downloadable application for computers does not have all the necessary functions for the user, since currently, it only allows uploading new files to the cloud, and does not allow downloading the files that are already stored in the cloud, which makes it in an application very limited to the user.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

I am really grateful for how good Dropbox has been during all this time, because it has performed much better than expected, and has adapted quickly to our needs. This platform has helped us to keep safe and to be able to share all the necessary files without employees within the company I am currently working on. I am very happy with all the Dropbox performance, it allows me to transfer files in just a few minutes, and to protect my files with an encryption key.

"Expensive but useful!!"

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is useful in terms of features, on a personal note. It has many pros like online integration of office which I can use it online itself so that there is no need of any third party app for editing my files. Also it has good and quick syncing features which help in fast uploading of files that others might need at the other ends. Also the sync feature is called a smart sync of course it has something to do with dropbox's some exclusive syncing feature. It also has a very great User interface to interact with. It feels easy to navigate from one folder to another in dropbox.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Pricing sector is something Dropbox really needs to loo at right now. Other competitors are providing same or some even better features in the same pricing range. of course they have their little bit of differences but considering the cloud storage platform image, I personally feel that the pricing is high.
Another concern is the privacy, someone can just login to your account by an email and a password easily, so unless you put up a strong password do not put up any sensitive information on dropbox. A little bit of improvement can be made in many sectors such as user experience and pricing strategy.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

It has been really useful for me at work as we have to upload many photographs and call data for my company. These photographs are then easily and instantly accesible to my other team sitting at a different location. They can downlaod it quickly without losing any data and quality of the image. One of the reasons why we preferred dropbox was loss-lessness.

"Using DropBox is amazing!"

What do you like about Dropbox?

The program is extremely easy to use on the desktop (for both PC and MAC) and the web interface is also excellent if it is on a guest computer. Synchronization is very well optimized and does not slow down the computer. Mobile access is also super efficient. Thanks to the synchronization function, I can access the files from my computer, without opening and closing the browser. The aspect that I emphasize most is the simplicity of Dropbox. It is very easy to create higher level directories and then add sub directories. Another great feature that turns out to be really useful many times, is that you can still access deleted files for 30 days, so you can recover deleted files by accident or recover a file that is needed again.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Free storage is less than the device needs and we also need the easy approach to cross-platform files, which are now possible, but improvements are always needed.

"Greater security at a lower cost."

What do you like about Dropbox?

One of the things that most caught my attention about Dropbox was the speed it offers me to transfer all types of files and to export or import a new file. I consider that Dropbox in comparison to other platforms, offers a faster speed to manage these files, which saves a lot of time for the user.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

I dit not like the fact that Dropbox has allowed me to use its application for mobile phones if I do not have the latest version of the application. I consider this to be a factor that has greatly limited my use, since on several occasions I do not have space on my cell phone to update to the latest version, and I have been forced to remove other applications, in order to use Dropbox.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

Dropbox has helped a lot by offering a better way to transfer files between the employees in the company I am currently working on. "how that as good is dropbox"

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox integrates with the latter. You can use Office Online to create a Word, PowerPoint or Excel file directly in your Dropbox folders. You can edit documents after you upload them, too. Dropbox also lets you view photos and play music and videos. Its audio-playing capabilities are basic, Sharing is one of the staples of cloud storage services, so it should be easy to do. You should be able to use it to share links directly to major social networks, send them via email or copy and paste them. Content control options that protect your shares are paramount. Effortless file synchronization. Apps for just about every operating system. Tight OS integration. Supports collaboration. Shows history of actions. Good features for Pro users. Dropbox uses standard SSL/TLS for transferring files, and data at rest is encrypted using 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). You can choose two-factor authentication using either SMS text messages or an authenticator app like Microsoft Authenticator.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

We also received no help in our initial setup and after having the software for a while, there are countless things we could have done better to share and organize our folders. sometimes - on multiple occasions I had to completely uninstall and reinstall the desktop app to make it work Files are not collaborative enough. At this point, you'd imagine Dropbox would work like google sheets where you and someone else can edit the same document at the same time. But instead, you have to deal with conflicted duplicate files. Billing could be explained better. We have multiple entities in our business and need to split our bill regularly but dropbox doesn't make it easy to code specific users or licenses to specific entities under the overarching business account

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

When sharing files it is advisable not to work on them at the same time with the people with whom you share it, because this can cause a conflict and can create 2 different copies. So that the information of your computer whenever it is saved in the cloud it is necessary that you place it inside the bag called my dropbox so that everything is saved. It is necessary that your computer is connected to the internet so you can back up all the information

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

The ease with which you can share your files with your coworkers has helped to improve their productivity because we can work on the same data keeping it updated always being long distance saving us time and money. replacing external storage units with the dropbox cloud allows for money savings.

"The most secure storage plataform that you can find"

What do you like about Dropbox?

This plataform it's recommended for anyone that would like to use to save all types of documents and other multimedias, it is easy to use and install it on an dispositive for the newcomers, it have a clean user interface easy to learn, it is possible to share the files and documents with other people and allow the users to protect the files with a password that it remains locked for the malicious users or to prevent the unauthorized access, of course you can download documents and upload them if you want and also you can verify it before download them and even you can pause the download, just with a single click.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

I think that the best that Dropbox offers are the security policies that makes it very trustful but unfortunately i have a few disadvantages with this software in my opinion, first one of the major problems is that you can't pause the uploading of the files and documents, sometimes it was very frustrating because an interruption to the internet connection and you have to upload it again from the beginning and the free version that only have the storage of 2GB it is not enough in my point of view and to upgrade or expand it you have to pay for it and many don't have the time or the money to do that.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

In the first place i had been using it for work purposes which that it's obvious because i work on the marketing department and i have to save all types of documents on this software, which it helped me very much to save space on the PC and to share important documents with my colleagues of work, the company recommended it to me so i can do my job on a safe way, for me it's easy to use and even i installed it on my smartphone to save stuff on it, and i have this software of course in my personal computer so i can download the documents of my work to do some corrections and save time, anyway it is amazing all this experience, i really recommend it.

"Fast and Easy"

What do you like about Dropbox?

Having dropbox among the file managers that I use every day is the best decision I have made, I started using free plan but because of my job I had to hire payment plans although it is somewhat high compared to other tools the security of the data it provides has been insurmountable, sharing my folders has been very easy and Desktop application is amazing I only have to slide the files to my Dropbox remote folder, synchronization of data is very stable and that is appreciated in this kind of services

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

One of the things I don't like about Dropbox is that free plan is very low considering other platforms, Dropbox is robust but free plan is very low to desired sooner or later the need to buy a plan is imminent

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

Having my files always with me from any device is very useful as I can my folder web templates.

" reliable or not?"

What do you like about Dropbox?

Admission of a variety of formats and systems: In Dropbox all formats are accepted
available images, documents, music, video, etc. So they can be uploaded and downloaded without any problem. This can also be applied in relation to size, although it could be somewhat limited with respect to the capacity of the account you have. It can also be used with both Android and iOS systems, so Dropbox for Android and Dropbox for Apple are a possibility.
Lifetime backup: There are files that we want to save and have at hand at all times. Therefore, with Dropbox, even if your device breaks down and cannot be used anymore, the information will not be lost. In addition, by inviting more users to join the account you can allow these files to be backed up by more than one person.
Availability 24 hours a day: One of the biggest attractions of Dropbox is that you will have full access to all the files stored in it whenever and wherever you want without limits. In addition, the folders in the account can be synchronized with those existing on your computer, or in the app.
Share specific files or folders through links: Either through Dropbox for desktop or the online application you can share a link to download the stored files. Synchronization can also be used so that the other person always has the updated documents.
Improve the management of work-related documents: Dropbox can also represent a great improvement in terms of its use ineagues and others
Shared folders can only be viewed by people you invite.
It has a virtual hard disk on which you can work freely, on almost any computer, you only need an internet access account to share files no matter where you are connected, without interruption.

solid administration controls, dedicated assistance and all the space that
you need, where you can also share photos with friends and work with your
equipment as if you were using a single computer. Everything is absolutely

One of the great advantages of the Internet is the possibility of having the information you want, accessible from anywhere in the world. The so-called "cloud storage" are those programs that allow you to save files online (photographs, documents, music, videos ...) to have them available anytime, anywhere.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Where it falters is that it could offer unlimited storage just like the leading competitors in the sector. It is also missing to have an editor or player of the files in the cloud itself or even to make backup copies of the operating system or software, not only of the content that we include in the folder. This makes it less optimal and somewhat uncomfortable to use.
You can only synchronize what is inside the folder that is created automatically. Call "MY DROPBOX"
When sharing files you should not work on it at the same time as it creates conflict and the file is duplicated.
It has no clutch for devices. except Iphone
It does not allow you to work a file in real time: Although there are several people who can access an account and work there normally, only one can modify the file. Cloud services like Google Drive or Microsoft 635 if they allow it

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is a very secure tool to upload documents online, I from any device can access my documents from any platform without any inconvenience, the Dropbox security system is high and alerts the user of any suspicious activity in the account, I can edit documents online from my browser is very fast and intuitive

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Lack of customization of folders is what makes Dropbox tedious, the free space is 2gb that today is very insufficient because other platforms offer more space for free, I have had some problems accessing my account from my Android however I have not had these problems from other devices, uploading photos from my mobile is slow sometimes.

"You can save any information without problems"

What do you like about Dropbox?

This product it's very easy to use it, it only takes a minimal time to register and it is done, you can save an amount of information you want, it can be documents, photos, pictures and other multimedias, the best part is not only you can use it on your PC, you can use this on your smartphone and it's easy to download it and install it too, on that way your dispositive can't be over-satured of information, it's like having an additional internal memory, and you can't lose your personal information or damage them, and also if you want you can share the information that you save with other people.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

There are problems which personally i found a disadvantage, the drawback it's very limited in my opinion, because if you want to save a large number of documents, files, etc, you have to pay if reaches the limits, i am saying that you have to do that if you want more space in this product to save other multimedias, some people can't afford that, they don't have the time or the money to do it, they consider that it's very expensive for just expand the space of the interface, other thing that i don't like it's that it don't have many features like i thought, like customization or update the security of the application.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

Well, it helped me to save space on my PC and smartphone, and save important files or documents, i can share this information with my colleagues of work if i want, it is very useful on my job area, so i don't have to use other product or the HDD of the PC.

"The best app to get started on saving multimedias"

What do you like about Dropbox?

That it's very easy to use it, it don't take long to register and when it's finished you can save any amount of information if you want to, it could be documents. photos, pictures, files on you computer or smartphone, that you don't have to save all this documents on the memory RAM or HDD in the case of a PC, and even better you don't lose any type of information if you dispositive it's damaged or lost, it is one that it's trustworthy, they really care about the security of the program, a good service to offer.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

This is one problem that it's common on the Dropbox users that they talk, that to expand the space cloud to save all types of files you must pay for that extension, i don't know that is this correct but i have my doubts on that, because sometimes the price it's very high and not anybody can afford it in this types of applications, other thing is that the folders and the files you can't customize it, so one can't specify well on this, it is not very complex and it have the lack of customer support, they need to update this.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

I have been using it to save all the documents that i can, because the HDD of my PC it have limits and the hardware don't have the space enough for all that, this tool helped me in many ways to storage the photos and pictures to make space, and i didn't know that it's very secure, they seriously handles the secuity very good, they know that there are paople that it's paranoid when it takes place the theme on saving stuff on internet.

"Something slow but sure"

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox has been an indispensable tool for me in my work although it is usually somewhat slow sometimes the security it provides is excellent, my photos and videos captured from my mobile are effectively protected, the application for mobile synchronize and save a lot of space in my memory so it is a good feature I can also organize my folders in different categories.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

2 gb of space is very little for the trial version because other services offer more space for free, the high dependence on mobile data access certain files is somewhat annoying, some xls files containing macros do not load correctly in the online display

"Excellent for free storage"

What do you like about Dropbox?

Is a very good tool to store my information, the photos and videos safely with out paying anything, it is excellent the way i can link all my devices and be able to have my information at hand wherever i am this gives me a respite to the memory of all my devices, without linking my personal stuff to work.I have my mobile full of games and movies so i need space for all my stuff with this i can store it without affecting the memory of my cell phone and not have to erase anything.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

One of the things i don't like is that in the free version they only give you 2gb of space, and to upgrade you have to pay, also you can’t access to your files if you don’t have mobile data or connect to a wi-fi network this is very annoying to me because i have to go to another app to search my files.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

The big problem that this application solves for me is to stop mixing my personal stuff with my work.I can have my cell phone free just for my personal life, and with one click i can access to dropbox and find all the documents of my job safe and without affecting the capacity of my phone.

"Dropbox, your storage option according to your needs"

What do you like about Dropbox?

Effortless file synchronization. Apps for just about every operating system. Tight OS integration. Supports collaboration. Shows history of actions. Good features for Pro users. In addition dropbox gives you a good amount of storage space, very useful for sharing the desired 2GB files, in the same way limited for the free version, you can gain more space with your referral program, up to 16GB, also the administration of your files It is facilitated with the creation of folders, to keep your documents, images, videos, music, etc. organized. Any type of file. It is also important to mention that when installed on a laptop or desktop computer, Dropbox works almost invisibly, appearing and working more like a part of your operating system than a separate app.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Unfortunately, if you don't want Dropbox to take up space on your computer's local hard drive, you have to spring for a Professional paid account. The online-only option thus afforded shows files stored in the cloud, downloading them only when you try to open them. Dropbox does let you select folders you don't want synced locally, but the filenames won't be visible in your desktop Dropbox folder.
If you delete files from your Dropbox folder on your computer, they will also be deleted from all the other devices on which you have Dropbox installed and from your online Dropbox account.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

It has allowed me to keep the files that I know I will need in the future, in a safe place, I have used it personally, and it has been very useful when I can download files from different devices anywhere, and have them at hand, the free version With the referral program it gives you a moderate space to store, enough for an average person, but it means that for companies or institutions the paid version is almost mandatory.

What do you like about Dropbox?

I like drobox because of its ability to save information in the cloud and share together with other friends and that it can be opened on any PC and get the same documents stored anywhere in the world

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

You can only synchronize what is inside the folder that is created automatically called '' MY DROP TABLE

When sharing files, you should not work on the same file at the same time, as it causes conflict and two copies of the file are created

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

I have used it to retrieve information and it has served me to store information that needs to be backed up and secure and that I can open elsewhere without using another physical product.

"File Sharing for 2010"

What do you like about Dropbox?

I like the fact that Dropbox notifies you when a new file is added to your account. This is especially helpful for meetings with numerous different files, as without this you may not notice that a file is new. The storage capacity is also fairly high, which is helpful for some of our board members that seem to rarely delete files.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

This is overall an OK product, but after using some of the competing products I really feel that Dropbox has some updates to do. One thing that I really don't like about Dropbox is the need to individually drop files into individual users accounts, rather than being able to send them to a group as a whole. When sending very large files, this can be a bit of an aggravating time suck. I also find that files take longer to upload on Dropbox than when using other similar services.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

We use this to get materials from staff to our board members. Prior to Dropbox, we used to copy, print, and hand-deliver all documentation. This was obviously a huge waste of time, money, and paper. Our board members much prefer accessing documents through Dropbox than receiving paper copies.

What do you like about Dropbox?

It is an excellent product because it allows the user a multiplatform file hosting service in the cloud, and what I like most is that it allows you to store and synchronize files online and between computers and share files and folders with other users so that this It is a great advantage that I have and that I like a lot because it makes it easy to send files in a totally efficient way and very high quality, another characteristic that I like is that one can save many files in the cloud and thus keep them safe from any eventuality of file theft, it is also important to highlight that it has an excellent integration with the operating system and an intelligent application to upload our files from the mobile

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

when files are shared, you cannot work on the same file at the same time, because it causes conflict and two copies of the file are created, you can only sync what is inside the folder that is created automatically called my dropbox so that this becomes some disadvantages of the product when you can use it efficiently

"“The best for your conferences”"

What do you like about Dropbox?

I love it is an application that has helped me a lot in terms of data transfer in a clean and fast way since with this we can make a conference to share any type of information where the information is for example I am at an event and my team needs a important information which I am collecting at the time of the event easily and quickly I can send it to my colleagues in just a matter of seconds which helps and facilitates us in every way.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Sometimes I find it heavy to start when we generally want to share information but it costs a little at the beginning of course and when loading is fast but at the beginning it costs and is what I dislike.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

I have been using it for the transfer of documents when I have to make an exhibition or a speech and I need to show a slide show and I do not want or in fact no longer use mobile devices for this since with this tool I solved this inconvenience because if I require do this I have Dropbox to use my information on the event site with a short term and with all my information.

What do you like about Dropbox?

I adore Dropbox simply carries all my documents photos applications from other files in the cloud I can view it at the moment that I want to have several storage plans it is easy to use both on the website and cross-platform applications I can open my account on any device has a file In an orderly way I can even share my folders with other users suits you, this also has a version for companies I think it is a bun benefit

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

One of the things I do not like that I can not create notes I can only upload files but there is the possibility of creating a voice note otherwise I do not agree with the plans you have regarding storage since it is very little and not all User can get it. something else sometimes happens in photos that are damaged but it is very little that this happens but it is something that I do not like very much since if I upload my photos to the cloud it is so that they remain as is and not lose them

What do you like about Dropbox?

I like it because it contains a large capacity for loading information with which we can play in different formats, in my case I use it a lot since I need to transfer a large number of documents and with this great tool I do not need to use any mobile device and in the format that is transferred the information from office to office that I like and I can even share this information at a distance with the other executives of our company.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Although it has great advantages with the transfer of information if there is no data, it cannot be received or shared since this does not help to speed up the work.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

In my case it is very used and has facilitated the work since it has several departments and many offices, which previously made it difficult to transfer information since it was done through mobile devices or emails and in cases the information is lost, With this great tool it has not been necessary since we can share the information immediately and without inconvenience. in our conferences it is the most used since it facilitates communication

"Fantastic service!!"

What do you like about Dropbox?

In my opinion Dropbox does not have much competition, because it offers a personal and business cloud system both perfect services speed and security, in addition to that it allows me to share documents, such as statistics or important information to others and the best you can download the files without having an account, which makes it cooler.
You can also share your account with your children to use them for their tasks since you can search for information they need is almost like Wikipedia, It is a great library, because others share their knowledge, it is perfect.
I recommend for everyone as much as saving personal or business information, or simple to search for documents as essays.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

On the negative side it seems bad that the phone application is very poor I think it needs better optimization, to have a better experience just by computer, I also think they should update the system of creating documents by adding new letters and editing to improve the document deliver a good presentation . It is necessary to use an alternate system to make the document and then upload it should improve that aspect. But still it is great.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

As I said before the application is fine but, to create a document is difficult, I asked for support to try to make a document since it ignores its tools, although it looks like Microsoft's word, even so it needs a lot like new letters and edition to improve the document deliver a good presentation.
However, I managed to make the document with a tutorial that sent me attention to the client is left unattended.

"Drobox a step in the future."

What do you like about Dropbox?

It is a very useful and easy to use tool, I can share files in a very fast and efficient way, the interface is very modern which makes it very striking.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

It does not have much publicity, I think it should be more common what would make it more attractive in the market, some of my clients do not have a dropbox account which sometimes makes it difficult for me to share files.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

I use it a lot in my company to share heavy files, it is a very fast way to send the information to my clients and part of the staff. This tool has greatly facilitated my work and saves me a lot of time, which is very useful for the company.

"Collaboration tool for the protection and synchronization of files in the cloud. "

What do you like about Dropbox?

Excellent collaboration tool that allows secure synchronization of files in the cloud.

The desktop application of Dropbox allows you to drag each of my desired documents to the Dropbox folder and in a short time the synchronization of the files ends.

One of the advantages of this tool is the ease of logging in from simultaneous devices and different locations.

It has an excellent user interface, a great technical support and is a very easy program when it is used and implemented.

Honestly Dropbox facilitates the management of work, from different points I can give immediate response to any job request, also allows collaboration with the rest of the colleagues with simply the synchronization of a file.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

One of the main negative aspects of this tool is the subscription price, honestly it is too high compared to other software on the market.

Slow synchronization when trying to load a large folder.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

Easy access to my files inside and outside my office.

Security and backup for work information.

"Dropbox: great cloud storage service."

What do you like about Dropbox?

It offers a lot of space in the cloud to keep all my work presentations, it also allows me to synchronize and edit my files in real time to keep them updated. I love the versatility and functionality with other applications and services that I use, Dropbox also has a specific file sharing feature that allows me to share any file format with other colleagues and we both edit files online, it is available for all platforms, PC, Smartphones and other devices with a nice interface that almost anyone can easily move.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

You need a good Internet connection to upload synchronized files in the cloud, it is a very expensive platform, there is no secure encryption when the information is at rest, the security of the files is an important limitation here, the free version is really limited. A problem that I detected in Dropbox is that when I am going to pass very large files it becomes very slow to such a point of congering, its synchronization free space is the worst. With only 2 GB of storage it is not possible to cover a good amount of my work files.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

Dropbox is a platform in which all your information is well stored and well maintained, Dropbox offers good quality in its services and in each of its functions, so it is at the level of applications such as Google Drive, Amazon Drive.
Microsoft OneDrive.
Box, etc. Despite the limited space it offers for free, it may be worth paying for its premium version, of course, it will be worth it, depending on the use it will give you and the type of information it will keep. . Dropbox is a platform that saves you a lot of time, space, reduces transfer costs, has a good organization of documents, synchronization and storage.

Dropbox has been an excellent collaborative tool for the backup and synchronization of my files in the cloud,

In addition, the exchange of information and files within the team has been very useful, we can easily synchronize the desired information with Dropbox and quickly all employees can access this information.

It is a very attractive and easy to use software, its installation in my computer is very basic, and the synchronization of the files is very simple, I can easily select my files and drag them to the Dropbox folder.

This tool is of solid collaboration for any work team that seeks effective support in the cloud.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Dropbox has excellent features for collaboration for any work organization, but nevertheless I think that its price is very high for the suscepcion and the increase of the storage capacity and in addition to that it is very cumbersome when I need to synchronize some large folder .

"Accessible platform for file transactions."

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is a competitive platform that really proves to be useful for the vast majority of the employees of my company and for me. The factor that has most attracted my attention about Dropbox is the fast file transaction system that has, you can easily import or export all kinds of documents with a speed that will not be found on another platform, it should be noted that this speed is the one that has achieved that I can have a fluid work at all times and that there are never any delays in my file transfers to my employees.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Undoubtedly its costs is a factor that really seems very negative, it has very high prices compared to other platforms, I would like prices to decrease considerably to allow users to have more accessibility to purchase them. On the other hand, I would also like the free trial storage space to be much higher, since it only allows the user to add a few files.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

Dropbox has been a factor of benefit since it was implemented in one of the areas of my company, since it has allowed us to transfer files with little or no weight, and this has achieved a rapid and safe sharing of information at all times .

What do you like about Dropbox?

I like that fact that it is easy to use, and can easily upload our high quality videos and media without a hitch. We often use Dropbox simply for this ... as we have a production side to our company that also creates lots of videos and media. We store them in Dropbox to then upload directly into our production based software.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Hmmm... there really isn't much to dislike, but there have been a few times when I had to rewrite over videos we have attempted to send to Dropbox since it told us the content capacity was too large?

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

As mentioned earlier, we create a lot of videos and graphic media content in Production areas of our company, and then send it to Dropbox to then upload into our Production software program as needed.

"Drop box reviews by a customer"

What do you like about Dropbox?

I’ve been using Dropbox for several years. My Dropbox folder is my default folder for Microsoft Word. So all of my Word files automatically go to Dropbox. One of the features I especially like is that Dropbox retains multiple versions of my files. So, for example, if a template file is corrupted through user error, I can easily restore the original version. Likewise when a crucial file gets deleted, I can easily restore it. Another feature I value is the ability to share a file so that I can provide a link to the file to anyone I want to share it with. That person doesn’t even need to have a Dropbox account. For example, suppose you need to provide an updated file periodically to a group of people. Instead of em weailing the file to them, you can just provide the link. Then each time you update the file the link will automatically point to the updated version of the file.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Sometimes have found Dropbox service to be very inflexible. Compare Dropbox
Cloud Storage Reviews
Dropbox was launched in 2007 and is one of the best cloud storage services on the market. It’s also the second most popular, Google Drive has more users with close to 1 billion versus Dropbox’s 500 million (read our Google Drive review to see why that may be). That said, the number is still impressive and the service does well on our best cloud storage comparison.

Dropbox suffered a breach in 2012 and lacks zero-knowledge encryption, which doesn’t make it a candidate for one of the most secure cloud storage services. That said, its ease of use is streamlined, so most users will feel at home whether they use the desktop, mobile or web version. It works for collaboration, too, because it integrates with Office Online and has a native note-taking app.

It can’t brag about its prices, though, because they aren’t among the most competitive on the market. We’ll dive into pricing and other categories in this Dropbox review, so stick with us to learn the details about the service.

Dropbox’s business version, Dropbox Business is one of the best cloud storage services for collaboration, but the personal version is no slouch. If you’d rather read about the business version, check out our Dropbox Business review.

Many cloud storage services provide good collaboration options by integrating with Google’s office suite or Office Online. Dropbox integrates with the latter. You can use Office Online to create a Word, PowerPoint or Excel file directly in your Dropbox folders. You can edit documents after you upload them, too.

If you need to work with Google’s office suite, as well as Office Online, try Box. Before you do, though, read our Box review to learn what you’re getting into.

Dropbox Paper is an app that you can use to take notes, embed media files and collaborate with others. It can’t do much else, though. There are better note-taking apps, which you can read about in our best note-taking apps article. That said, if Dropbox’s version intrigues you, read our Dropbox Paper review.

Dropbox has another app called Showcase. It enables you to share your files on a professional-looking page, which is a nice addition. There’s no way to share directly to social networks, though.

You can do a full-text search to through the content of your files and find what you’re looking for. That includes documents scanned with the mobile app, which is a nice addition because the mobile app lets you scan a document, tweak the scan and upload it as a .pdf or .jpeg file to the cloud.

On the Plus plan, versioning lets you restore deleted files or older versions from the last 30 days. If you need more time than that, you can subscribe to the Professional plan or one of the team plans. You can find alternative services that allow restoration from a longer period and don’t have expensive plans in our best cloud storage for versioning article.

Dropbox also lets you view photos and play music and videos. Its audio-playing capabilities are basic, so it didn’t make our best cloud storage for music list. pCloud is at the top there thanks to its advanced audio features. Dropbox is featured on our best cloud storage for photos and videos, though.

If you want to save space on your hard drive using Dropbox you can enable smart sync if you’re on the Professional or a team account. It lets you access every file and folder in your Dropbox account from your computer without using hard drive space. That means content doesn’t sync to your computer, but also that you can’t access it when offline.

The Plus plan is $9.99 per month or $99 per year. It gives you 1TB of storage, 30-day version history, Microsoft Office 365 integration, priority email support and the standard cloud storage features.

If you decide to go with the Professional plan, you will get shared link controls, extended version history, advanced collaboration tools, such as smart sync and Showcase, and access to chat support. It’s $16.58 per month or $198.96 per year.

Standard and Advanced plans are suitable for teams. Standard gives you 3TB of shared space for $12.50 per user per month or $150 per user per year. It includes features such as an account transfer tool, HIPAA compliance, a team folder and centralized billing.

Advanced gives you as much storage as needed for $25 per user per month or $240 per user per year. It brings advanced team features, such as single sign-on, administrator roles, log auditing and phone support during business hours, to the table.

Before subscribing to any of the premium plans, you can use the free plan, which offers a puny 2GB of storage, to test the service. You can add to it by completing tasks, but it’s still far from the deals in our best free cloud storage piece.

Ease of Use
90% - Excellent
How easy it is to use a service is as important as the features it has, if not more important. The reason for that is users won’t know how good a feature is if they can’t access and use it in a straightforward way. The design is important, too, because it’s more enjoyable to use an app that’s modern and attractive.

Dropbox has a reputation for providing a good user experience, and that’s justified for the most part. To interact with it, you can use the desktop, web or mobile app.

You use the desktop version by accessing the system tray icon. It can open your sync folder, web app or Dropbox Paper. Plus, it shows your notifications and recent files.

To tweak Dropbox, you need to click the gear icon and open the preferences. There, you’ll see tabs that help you change general, account, sync and other settings. The desktop app has a sleek and attractive design so you won’t be confused about what to do.

You can do the same song and dance using the web app. It has a menu on the left that lets you navigate between the homepage, your files, Dropbox Paper and Showcase.

The “files” page is where you’ll do most of the work. There, you can see your files in a big or small grid and as a list.

You need to go to the menu behind the three dots to manipulate individual files, which is a common solution, but we’d prefer to be able to do it using right-click, too. You can select more than one file and perform an action from the menu on the right.

The creepy smiley icon in the top right corner lets you access your settings, upgrade your account or download the installer for the desktop app.

The web app is clear and easy to use. You can drag and drop a file anywhere and it will start to upload. Accessing pages and features is fast, too.

The mobile app doesn’t disappoint, either. It’s easy to use and gives you the option to automatically backup your photos and videos. It also lets you share your files and save them for offline access.

File Syncing & Sharing
88% - Very Good
Sharing is one of the staples of cloud storage services, so it should be easy to do. You should be able to use it to share links directly to major social networks, send them via email or copy and paste them. Content control options that protect your shares are paramount. When you want to share a folder, you should be able to invite users and assign them a set of permissions.

You can share every folder and file you store with Dropbox from your desktop, smartphone or browser.

Each cloud object has a “share” button associated with it in the browser interface. Clicking that button opens a window in which you can input the email addresses of those you wish to share with.

Dropbox lets you share links by copying and pasting them or sending via email, but it can’t share directly to social networks. If you want to stop sharing, you can delete a link. You can protect your link by using a password or expiry date, disabling downloads or selecting specific individuals who can access it.

Subscribes to the Plus plan don’t get those features, and that’s one of the service’s biggest drawbacks. If you want to use them, you have to subscribe to the Professional plan, which is twice the cost.

Sync.com gives you those features on all of its plans, as well as features Dropbox doesn’t have. Check out our Sync.com vs. Dropbox article for more comparisons. If you’re interested in Sync.com, read our Sync.com review. Those who want to compare several services at once should read our best cloud storage services for sharing piece.

When sharing folders, you can set permissions to “edit” or “view.” There’s a page that shows you what you’ve shared, too.

If you want to invite others to share with you, the “file request” feature can help you do that. You can even invite users who don’t have a Dropbox account to do so.

Dropbox invented the model of sync that most cloud storage services use. It consists of a system tray icon and a sync folder. Any file or folder that you place in the sync folder will be synced to the cloud and the devices connected to it.

Dropbox has selective sync, which lets you select the folders you want to sync. To do that, click the system tray icon, then the gear icon in the top right corner and select “preferences.” Click the “sync” tab, then “selective sync,” then uncheck the folders you don’t want to sync.

The folders you unselect won’t take space, but they also won’t be shown on your computer. If you want the best of both worlds, you can use the smart sync feature that we talked about earlier. That said, it would be nice to have the ability to quickly copy files or folders into your sync folder from the context menu of your files explorer like you can with Sync.com.

Speed
85% - Very Good
Dropbox has servers in the U.S., Your transfer speeds will depend on how close you are to them and your internet service provider. We did our tests using a WiFi connection in Belgrade, Serbia, with an upload speed of 6 megabits per second and a download speed of 100 Mbps. We weren’t close to Uncle Sam, but the results were still great.

Upload speeds weren’t as fast as we would expect on our connection, but they still averaged 27 minutes and 20 seconds for a 1GB file, which is fast. Downloads took more than twice the time they should have, though, with an average of three minutes and 42 seconds.

First attempt: Second attempt: Average:
Upload time: 00:32:00 00:22:40 00:27:20
Download time: 00:03:48 00:03:37 00:03:42
That said, Dropbox shines when transferring already-uploaded files thanks to block-level sync. The algorithm helps it determine which parts of the file are new, so the app only has to transfer those. It’s useful and Dropbox invented it, so it’s no wonder the company does it well.

If Dropbox slows down your computer, you can go to the preferences menu and throttle the bandwidth. Dropbox handles sync well, so you shouldn’t need to do that, though.

Security
65% - Decent
Because cloud storage services are on the internet, they are a ripe target for malicious individuals, so good security is a must. Hackers won’t hesitate to go after your data with ransomware or man-in-the-middle attacks. They might try to steal your login credentials, too.

Cloud services use many methods to secure your data against potential threats. The TLS protocol prevents man-in-the-middle attacks from succeeding and encryption secures your data in-transit and at-rest. Private, end-to-end encryption prevents anyone other than you from reading your files.

Two-factor authentication will stop hackers who’ve stolen your password from accessing your account. Still, you should make sure you have a strong password, to begin with.

Dropbox has had a turbulent history with security. It was the center of attention during a breach in 2012. Sixty-eight million passwords were stolen, and the incident wasn’t reported until years later. Dropbox was connected to the PRISM project in 2013, too. The company took measures after the breach, though, and its security is much better.

It uses AES 256-bit at-rest and the TLS protocol with AES 128-bit to protect your files in-transit. The level of encryption is strong, but Dropbox decrypts your files when they arrive at its data center to extract metadata for indexing and re-encrypts them afterward.

You metadata remains in plain text on a separate server. That’s not the best scenario for your privacy, so consider using Boxcryptor, a private encryption add-on (read our Boxcryptor review).

Privacy
60% - Fair
Dropbox doesn’t have zero-knowledge encryption, it extracts metadata from your files and it has a history with the PRISM project. It’s based in the U.S., as well, so it has to adhere to the laws there. Laws such as the USA Patriot Act and CLOUD don’t help users’ privacy.

That’s a couple of strikes against Dropbox’s approach to privacy already, but we’re going to examine its privacy policy to see if there are more.

The privacy policy doesn’t mention the General Data Protection Regulation, the law that protects the privacy of EU citizens, but Dropbox has a page that details its preparation for complying with it. It says it complies with the GDPR, but it’s confusing that the privacy policy doesn’t mention it.

The privacy policy mentions rights users have, though, and they correspond to some of those in the GDPR. They are the right to delete your information, change it or access and download it.

We didn’t find suspicious clauses, but the privacy policy could be clearer. Tresorit has one that’s easiest to read and navigate. To find out more about a security powerhouse, read our Tresorit review.

Customer Service
88% - Very Good
The easiest and fastest thing you can do to get help is consult the articles in the help center. They’re divided into categories for quick access. The articles are clear and easy to follow, but they could be improved with the addition of video tutorials.

If you don’t find a solution to your problem, you can ask a question in the community forum. There are many active members and Dropbox’s community moderators help resolve issues.

You can send an email to contact support if your using a Basic or Plus account. The email contact form says a response will come within one to three days. Using a free account, we received a response a little more than a day later. That said, the response time is slower than most services we’ve tried.

If you like to tweet, you can contact technical support on Twitter, too.

The Verdict
Dropbox has gone a long way toward strengthening its security since the breach. That’s a boost to its reputation for providing great ease of use, fast sync and sharing capabilities. The high price tag detracts from the overall impression, though, along with missing zero-knowledge encryption.

Those who aren’t concerned about their privacy or don’t store sensitive information in the cloud won’t have to worry about rogue employees reading their data. They will be able to enjoy Dropbox’s Office Online integration, Dropbox Paper, Showcase and smart sync.

Are Dropbox’s features enough to sway you to try it? What about its questionable practices regarding metadata and the lack of private encryption? Let us know what you think in the comments below. Thank you for reading.

Dropbox was the first cloud service I had used..Till now Dropbox is waking up when my PC wakes up..I have tried other cloud services too,but nothing is simple as Dropbox…I have 5.5 GB space on my free account..and everyone in family uses Dropbox…That’s the power of simplicity…

Dropbox is amazing guys! It’s probably the best for business or a proffesional photographer.

Dropbox offers amazing features, and especially the BIG 2014 changes and updates made it to be the one of the most cheapest cloud storage ever! 1TB for 9,99$/month. And new feature Dropbox launched, is password lock for files you share!

However, in security, Dropbox is good, but nothing more.
Dropbox is NOT going to take a war, if a company would be requesting your account’s files for legal procedures to take against what you did, so dropbox would simply say “oh hey, yeah yeah sure take this users 850GB copy files”. Why? you’re saying why i say this way? it’s because it’s their REAL face!
They are a cloud company that don’t want to get in a trouble if a illegal activity is monitored on how you’re using the cloud. Example, if you got illegal files that is copyright protected, and you upload to your cloud and share, they will easily see your file, with the MD5 Hash control (i think they are using MD5 hash, or another thing similar to MD5).
Dropbox uses Amazon S3 servers, which are NOT NSA Proof!
Dropbox uses SSL Only during File transfer. In the Cloud, it’s easily read-able.
IF someone has Access to Amazon S3 servers, they could easily read and see your files (well, it’s pretty hard since Amazon has tons of TB in that cloud, so will there be low risk of your files getting revealed). For Bussiness, Dropbox definitely is a NO!
Low security, non-encryption on server-side.

Unless you mark your files as “share”, dropbox wont use their system scanner, to scan illegal files. Yup, dropbox has a system that maintains the scan feature, if any suspicious is found, it will get redirected to the Dropbox staffs for manual scanning procedure to decide whether it is legal or illegal.

Simplicity of Dropbox is Very good! very simple! they made it as simple as possible which is very easy to learn and manage files.

Speed of Dropbox is really good too! Well, it can’t beat Google Drive’s speed (which MAXED my speed, i got shocked, because no any cloud provider maxed out my 100mbs upload/download speed). Dropbox has good speed, i am serious, it’s really good for personal use. Dropbox lowered their price, which made them marked in the “Affordable clouds” section (well so in my list anyway).

Their Mobile app is super-easy and super-simple. However, it lacks some features that other cloud privders mostly gives, anyway, Dropbox is very proffesional cloud company.
Their Windows software is really bad guys, because it is copying your cloud to your local harddrive without even warning you about that, which in result causes bandwidth overcharge issue (if you have a Internet which has a limited bandwdith usage). I think that function is customizable to your preference.

Overall guys, Dropbox is very good (if we exclude the security) for the price.

I have had Dropbox for over a year now after a colleague initiated its use. I love it! My storage is at 17GB thanks to friends joining me. I can access my current projects (letters I’m writing, homework, etc) no matter where I am, from any computer.

Instead of emailing the file to them, you can just provide the link. Then each time you update the file the link will automatically point to the updated version of the file.

I’ve used Dropbox, iCloud, OneDrive, and Google Drive, but Dropbox is by far the fasted and most reliable in terms of speed and synchronisation. I’ve had a lot of trouble with the other apps where they take forever to synchronise.

I have found Dropbox service to be very inflexible. I think the website is more difficult to use than is necessary. One has to do through too many steps to figure out the various pricing plans. It is also very difficult to get to a point where you can choose to cancel your trial service. I feel totally duped by trying their trial service and the inflexibility to work with me to determine the best service for me at a reasonable price.

"Dropbox gives me space and security"

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is an excellent program that gives me the opportunity to store important files or documents in a practical and safe way, since these remain hosted in the cloud where I can access them easily from the browser or mobile device, I can also modify and update my data or information. It is a very simple and easy to use and install system, it has a powerful search engine that allows you to quickly locate the requested file. In our company is the indispensable tool in the integral work, which translates into a great benefit for the whole team

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

In the free version its capacity only offers 2 GB, if you want more storage space you must meet some requirements, or you can buy the paid version, there is even a version that offers unlimited space.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

It has been very useful in my work because it has allowed me to store large amounts of files and important documents in a safe way, besides being able to share this information with colleagues and teammates. Many times I have been able to access my information from my cell phone connecting me quickly. Another advantage that I have benefited from is its ability to store a lot of information, which allows us to reduce the use of paper and file boxes and thus have more free space in the company.

"Synchronization and storage in the cloud."

What do you like about Dropbox?

About Dropbox This great tool I love because of the diversity of cloud storage tools it offers.
I love that you can upload any type of file of any size and format. I also love that everything stored there guarantees us that it will not be lost since there are moments when we have information, documents, photographs, among others, in the PC there is the possibility that these will be deleted if it presents any failure. While we store our documents in Dropbox we can synchronize them with all our mobile devices and access them by simply accessing the Dropbox account.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

The disadvantage that I find in Dropbox is that it only offers 2G in its free plan, which is very similar to other platforms that also offer cloud storage services. Although it offers the option to increase 16G for example by inviting friends or doing different activities proposed by the platform.

"Files in the cloud."

What do you like about Dropbox?

In reference to this great storage platform that is Dropbox, I love the option of the synchronization folder. Since this ensures that I can get my files available at all times. This tool keeps all my files updated on all my computers, cell phones, tablets, etc. Because if I edit a document on my computer then get the edited version on my other devices. Just to access my account and add there in my Dropbox folder all the desired documents.
This platform allows better organization and access to all my documents without major complications.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Among some disadvantages in Dropbox is the situation that limits us to a shared file can be edited by two people at the same time because the action of complicated duplication of this file is generated. It also does not offer clients for devices except the iPhone.

"Can greatly increase team efficiency !!"

What do you like about Dropbox?

I really enjoy it when I have files store in Dropbox synced onto my computer. It makes monthly reporting much easier to manage.

Manage, update. and share files with team members across the globe. A great tool for companies that manage a lot of documents Saving and sharing documents is a breeze with Dropbox . Also servers as a back up resource, so your data is lost, or corrupted when individual PCs have problems.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Multiple users can't update the same file in real time together. If you have several dozen folders it can be hard to drag and drop folders into other folders if you plan on simplify or re-organizing things. Sometimes synchronization takes a fairly large amount of time, while slowing down the productivity of the entire system until it is completed.

"Cloud storage system"

What do you like about Dropbox?

The main advantage is that it allows integration with Linux devices. I no longer have to use a virtual machine to work with this product. It also has an app to be used in mobile very simple and with an user panel easy to understand that makes the power to host documents and files in the cloud is very fast.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

The main disadvantage is the loss of information if it is removed from my computer. The process is very simple I think a local folder that synchronizes where I have my files, if I lose the location where the information is also lost. In addition there are documents that can not be accessed offline only those you select, an aspect that I think should be improved.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

The period of learning and using this application in my work was not difficult. Management is very simple and has increased the efficiency in the use of time having perfectly organized the most important folders and files of work. It also has a great quality and attractive design.

"Dropbox does its Share"

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is great if you need to share Microsoft documents and do not need real time collaboration. It also works great if you want to share any other types of files with other people. Where it is lacking is in document collaboration. I understand that is not the core use case however I find myself not using Dropbox often because I need to document collaboration features Google offers.

Also Dropbox is well suited for companies that have a lot of large files in different formats because it allows 2TB. Once you share folders with others you never know how many files they are putting in as well, but I have never had to worry about space with Dropbox Business.

Finally i think that Dropbox is perfectly suited for basic file sharing within an organization or company, or at times where one needs to share a file with an external entity, the files can be password protected so only the approved person can access the data.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

-When you have a long time without using your account, you run the risk of losing it.

-If you are a victim of hacking, you do not have the ability to recover your information. I think they should work more on a proposal to solve that problem if that happens.

- Everything you save is in the cloud. If your password is not good, you can lose everything.

- The home panel isn't well-organized.

- It doesn't always sync every time.

- Syncing can take a while.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

Dropbox is used across our organization to manage large files and work collaboratively on projects. It allows those with access to easily find and use files and Dropbox's SmartSync feature allows us to download only the files we need, saving valuable hard drive space. We use this as our central hub for all media-related projects.

"A storage program as well known as efficient"

// Administrativo at ShopFactory

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is one of the cloud storage programs that came first.

Many times the first program usually ends up being the best known even if it is not the best, just because of having left before. With dropbox does not happen, is the first to create that system, but has managed to stay in the market for its competitive prices, for the large number of options available and also for the ease of uploading and downloading files.

These three elements are those that stand out mainly within this program: ease, efficiency and price. They are key elements in cloud storage systems, so I think that a program like this one has them is essential.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Perhaps the only thing I do not like about dropbox is that its security system is not as good as that of other competitors.

I'm not saying that your security system to upload and protect files is bad, far from it, but I think that one of its most important competitors has managed to increase security much more and that is also essential in a cloud storage.

Also, personally, maybe I would also put more options through mobile systems, since it is a very used element and the dropbox application for these devices I think is not as optimized as it should be.

For me if they improve more security and also make a better application will improve a lot.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

Dropbox is useful so you do not have to worry about having to buy many large capacity hard drives and have many computers to store a large amount of resources.

The storage system in the cloud saves not only a lot of money, but also a lot of space in any office and also gives extra security, since you can have several backups of your files and in an instant they will recover in case of failure.

A company, large or small, must already have tools like this, both for its files and for programs, because thanks to tools of this style it can also increase the power of the company in the labor market.

"Great as a Cloud Storage Solution"

// Senior Manager - Supply Chain at PepsiCo

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is a highly useful low-cost cloud storage solution for small and large organizations alike. It is very easy to use which is a major plus. In addition, the solution allows you to be able to share specific files, or folders with other users based on selected permissions applied. This ability helps users to be able to foster collaboration with other internal or external teams without infringing upon the security of other files stores within the database.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

While there are many pluses to Dropbox, one potential downside is the limited ability for version tracking within the platform. It is fairly difficult to be able to actively manage and track changes to documents stored on the database, which can prove to be a notable inconvenience. If the vendor were to implement a more robust version management functionality, that would tremendously benefit users that regularly make updates to key documents to support on-going business changes.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

My organization has been using Dropbox as a cloud storage solution. The software platform has significantly helped to more easily share large files and documents with other users. It has also helped with the growing need for cross-functional collaboration.

What do you like about Dropbox?

Its registration is very simple and does not take much time, it has multiple functions, so it can be used both individually and as an enterprise, it is very easy to use and has a very simple and interactive interface in which it is very easy to carry out an organization of personal or work files of great importance, is ideal for working in a group, since you can exchange comments no matter where you are and the best thing is that you have very varied and widely accessible plans.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Some files are too heavy to upload or share, so I think you should allow them to be transformed so that you can upload or download them from any device.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

With Dropbox has improved productivity productivity because having a more viable form of communication in which you can exchange files, ideas and discuss or be aware of any task is much simpler to carry out the development of large projects and more If it does not matter where you are located, this is why we have not found a better solution than this great tool because it is very efficient and profitable.

"A complete platform but you must expand your free trial."

// Assistant Manager -Talent Acquisition at Deloitte

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is a platform that has an excellent way to store files, fast and secure. What I like most about Dropbox is that it is a software that has always maintained an order in the files that are uploaded, allowing users to have the possibility of ordering the uploaded files by date of modification, name or file size, this is an excellent solution for companies that maintain a large amount of files stored in a cloud. On the other hand it should also be noted that Dropbox has an excellent innovation in what would be your App for mobile phones, allowing an interaction between files uploaded from a PC and files uploaded from a cell phone.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

I strongly criticize the free Dropbox test, this free trial does not allow absolutely anything, know the platform. Currently Dropbox allows only store a capacity of 2GB for free, and I think it is very little because some companies really need to know if the platform will be able to meet their needs or if it is a platform that really supports both storage on their servers. Another negative point about Dropbox is with its platform for desktops, this platform does not allow uploading enough files consecutively, for which, it forces the user to use the software's website.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

When I implemented it, the results were not so remarkable, it should be noted that I did not store so many files at first, however, after using it for a few months in my company, I realized that it had given us a very impressive organization for the files that should mobilize different areas of my company. Currently fulfills its full function, allowing my colleagues and me to share files mutually, important files that should only be transferred from a network. Dropbox has really been a solution to our file transaction problems.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

There's nothing revolutionary about it and if you're on the free version, you hit the roof fairly quickly. Then you have to either get other people to sign up using your code or you have to pay. Integration could also be better but that may have improved since I used it.

// Digital Nomad Serial Entrepreneur at Multiple

What do you like about Dropbox?

I use dropbox to back up all the photos from my phone. I travel a lot so I worry if my phone gets lost or stolen or broken I'll lose all my photos. I don't like icloud because it's expensive and not very user-friendly so dropbox is perfect for me. It backs them up automatically and I never need to worry.
I also upgraded to a paid plan so I can have extra space to store my work safely in dropbox and share it with others. I work in video editing so it means I can share with clients and also if my computer is ever stolen or damaged I have all my most important files safely in the cloud. I love it!

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

I find it annoying that it defaults to automatically syncing the files onto my computer hard drive. You can switch that off but I often forget and then discover my laptop storage is full because I've got all my dropbox files also stored on my hard drive. An easy fix but my only gripe!

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

I use it for sharing large file access with clients - I work in video editing. And also as a security backup for photos, videos and files that I worry about losing in a tech hardware failure! I also use it to send files between my devices sometimes when they are too big for email. Very multi purpose for me!

It has a lot of useful features such as selective sync, bandwidth management, two factor authentication, strong encryption, file history and recovery which gives you the rest of mind that your personal data and information is as secured as it can be.

What do you like about Dropbox?

With this application I do not need to occupy space on my pc, because with it I store my files in the cloud, it presents an intuitive, easy and safe interface, besides having the advantage that it is integrated with other Microsoft Office tools that allow me to create and edit files in different formats.
The best thing is that I do not run the risk of losing information, since I do not depend on a computer, but all the files are stored in the cloud and with the facility of having all the documents always available from any place or computer.
It is compatible with all operating systems

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Dropbox initially offers 2 GB free, while there are other similar applications that offer up to 15 GB storage space.
To load the files you need an Internet connection.

"A very effective tool to store files."

// CEO at TD Ameritrade

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is a platform that has a really favorable design for any person or company, currently I have noticed the following positive points in this platform:

- Excellent speed to upload and download files, is a speed that is not defined by the broadband connection, and that provides time savings to the user.

- Efficient organization, since there are buttons to organize the files in order of upload or modification.

- It is a platform that works very well on mobile devices, allowing the user to modify all the files in his cloud much easier.

Dropbox is a platform that has too many benefits, and that day after day does everything possible to improve the user experience.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Dropbox is very complicated to edit personal information. In recent months I have noticed that Dropbox does not have a speed when editing personal or company information, since when you try to upload a photo to the user account or change some other information, it takes a long time, sometimes the photo appears correctly uploaded, but when the page is reloaded, the uploaded photo does not appear.

On the other hand, it is also important to note that Dropbox does not have good prices, it is currently one of the most expensive platforms in terms of the mass storage area, so I would recommend that prices be lowered a little to get users to have greater accessibility

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

There are many benefits that I have had and that I am currently having with Dropbox, such as:

- An excellent storage capacity, capable of allowing me to store large amounts of files without any limit.

- Access to my cloud from the mobile device, something that greatly facilitates the sending of files consecutively to my colleagues.

- Creation of a working group, an easier way to connect employees, in a group where they can share documents and important information.

- Connectivity with my colleagues whenever you want, and the ability to send a file from any distance and with a simple link.

"Smart Idea!"

// Food Server at Cracker Barrel

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox has been extremely helpful in my job. I am constantly having to begin, close, or edit files while on the go. While on the go I often need my boss's approval. Wherever he is, he signs into Dropbox and makes any changes he sees fit, and boom! My files are ready for email or printing. Business can go from my desktop to my laptop to my phone, and I don't lose it miss anything!

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

As far as dislikes go, I really have yet to find much of anything I don't like. I have decided to figure out how to turn off alerts on my settings. I don't need to be told every time my boss makes a change in Dropbox. If the change is meant for me, he alerts me himself.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

As stated above, it has helped me to do business from wherever I am, stationary, on the go, wherever I am. Dropbox solved the issue of doing business without being stuck in an office!

Its not about Dropbox but its about the technology it depends on I am referring internet, Dropbox is highly dependent on internet and upload speed if i need any thing to upload on it it takes too much time. Keeping my file size is large.

Space is always costly on the cloud so here on the Dropbox as well.

"Dropbox allows me to have many files on my device."

// Strategy Director at Dunkin Donuts

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox I like it a lot because since it was used it has been very efficient, its platform is quite fast and it has allowed me to always have my cell phone with a lot of free storage, which is very good because I always have to download files and I do not have to worry about to erase them or move them from place. I am very pleased with Dropbox because its prices are very good and I keep up to date, the design that I have seems simple but at the same time ideal for its modalities.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Something I do not like about Dropbox is the transference of files and I have noticed that the same thing happens to several people and this is really overwhelming because I have to try several times so that the file transfer can be carried out satisfactorily. This is only something that does not happen to me always, it is in certain occasions like for example when the internet is slow or I have little battery in my cell phone.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

With Dropbox I have had many benefits because it has allowed me to have my phone faster because it has had fewer files and that is great because I move them to the cloud and I love it because I can keep having more files without deleting them. Dropbox is a very good program for people who like to have all kinds of files in their phones and applications because of the great support it offers satisfactorily.

"Dropbox and the great utility it has."

// Co CEO at E*TRADE

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is one of the best solutions for today's companies that urgently need to store files. What I like most about this platform is how the free or trial version works, it gives many opportunities to new users and to companies that are willing to try the functions, as well as, it offers a free storage space that is just enough for a good stay.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

The problem with Dropbox is located in the version for mobile devices, I believe that this problem has been happening for a long time and has not yet been solved. When files are uploaded to the cloud medinate the cell, this process becomes tedious, slow and on the other hand, a waste of time, you have to wait a long time for a file to upload low weight.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

Dropbox is currently being used in my company, as a great manager of acrhivos and compartments of the same, this has been helping us to simultaneously send files of a great weight and without having to move from our work area.

" Dropbox has a lot of storage for me."

// Manager Strategy at Kona Grill

What do you like about Dropbox?

I like Dropbox because it is software that helps me to keep my computer and my cell phone with a lot of storage for my files in general, such as: Images, videos or work files, and still have free storage space for applications. This program is very good and I am always using it because it has benefited me a lot.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Dropbox is an excellent program but what I do not like about the software is that it is usually very slow when moving my files, from my memory card or my cell phone storage to the program and I do not like it at all because even having Enough free space is very slow. Dropbox also needs to improve its storage capacity and innovate more features that benefit its operation.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

The benefits that I have had since using Dropbox have been good, because although it is somewhat slow it has helped me to improve the space of my computers and my cell phone and I like that a lot because I can include more files and I will still have enough space for other files .

"Great solution for file backup"

// Owner at Mindy Iannelli, LLC

What do you like about Dropbox?

I like that there are many integrations for Dropbox, so that I may easily use it for storing backups. I use Backup Buddy for backing up my websites and a copy is automatically sent offsite to Dropbox. A very useful feature that Dropbox created, I believe last year, is the ability to send a file request to someone. This means they can respond to your request by uploading the file, but do not need to have a Dropbox account to do so.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

I share files with my clients and have had to start using Google Drive instead for many of them, because the client's Dropbox is full and therefore cannot use it for sharing files. I would like to be able to share access to a folder that lives on my Dropbox but that doesn't require the person I am sharing with to also have available space on their account.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

I have been using Dropbox for sharing files with clients and teammates, as well as sending my website backups to Dropbox automatically.

"Must Have For Business or Personal Use"

// CEO, Operations at ALandQuest LLC.

What do you like about Dropbox?

Works across multiple devices - Apple, Android, PC, Mac etc. I know with so many cloud services it would be easy enough to dismiss Dropbox as just another one of those places we already have to much of. With a TB of storage space and about a dozen different ways that everyone seems to back up storage their documents. I find it a essential part of my business and communicating with everyone Dropbox sets the standard. Why choose them over google, iCloud or any of the others - well simple, they stand alone and allow any kind of user to have access, file information, and organization which rival few others. What I always disliked about google is I have had a dozen gmail accounts, some for work, some for play, some to be a representation of an idea or thing I was working on. What sort of makes google drive challenging is I seem to now have 15 accounts that have to be signed into just to get access to different computers, certain jobs done on specific computers and seems like a real hassle having to recall where such and such is by toggling through a sea of google accounts. I also seem to have used a android, Apple and google phone all preferred to utilize which ever standard may have been for that device. What Dropbox eliminates is the confusion we find from our past and even think what may be in our future. At least we have an essential stand alone product who will not be stuck in between the war between a dozen innovations all which try to make their mark on technology. As part of my everyday life, Dropbox has become my key to roam. No matter if I am at home, 1500 miles away at a clients headquarters, on a bus, or hanging upside down - Dropbox is again and again the answer to none of that mattering. I find myself, keeping my life simple and really well sorted these days. And if only we had tools such as these for a greater part of life we may not be holding on to old hard drives, floppy disks, and a dozen skeletons in every closets at both work and at home. For too long we have been waiting for an ultimate tool to handle the complex world which we live in. And dropbox is finally the tool that all of us have been waiting for, even if we have yet to realize it. I can’t tell you what a life saver it has been for me to have no matter if I lose my phone, ex girlfriend steals my computer, or one of many of life’s situations plays out. I thank dropbox is not just there to make life better, safer and no worry about any uncertainty. I now would like to recommend Dropbox to everyone out there looking to make their life better, simple and easy finally!

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

The functionality across all platforms works well, however, it should be easier to edit files. And the search I wish was able to scan through documents better to find specific files. If seen a few files become corrupt in the system and not entirely sure why that happens. While I might have a few small things I think that all in all it does the trick.

"Works well for personal files, but I don't trust it for financial or patient information"

// Chief Operating Officer, and HIPAA Privacy Officer at dmi Networking

What do you like about Dropbox?

It's very easy to sync a folder across all of your devices. It's pretty brainless and you can access what you need from anywhere. A quick installation, a small download, and you're set. The sharing feature is nice, as you can share large files without them having to go over email.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

The data is not encrypted by default, so it doesn't comply with HIPAA or NIST guidelines for data security. Dropbox has also been hacked several times over the past couple of years. I don't trust this service for anything financial or personal, but I do like to use it for general documents and photos.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

It works well for sharing a photo library across multiple machines. We generally use it for our clients who want to have their images available. We're also able to share files to non-dropbox users which is also helpful in transferring large files.

"The best cloud based storage and sharing tool I've used"

// Graphic Designer at Anthony Garcia

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is great and very well supported. It is simple to use, which makes it easy to use with other people who might not be very tech savvy. If they have a Dropbox account it is dead simple to share a folder and collaborate. If they don't use Dropbox it is easy to just send them a link that will download the file you are trying to share with them. It is also very useful personally to save certain files in Dropbox that I need access to when I am away from my computer because their mobile app stays in sync seamlessly and I can access those files from anywhere.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

The only problem I have had with Dropbox was before I understood how it worked — a couple of times I was sharing a folder with someone and something got moved out of the folder by the other person, and it disappeared for me! Made me be more careful about what I put in shared folders and make sure I have a copy elsewhere as well, just in case. It would be better if this was managed slightly differently. Not exactly sure what the solution is, but it could be dangerous if you're not careful.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

I use Dropbox to store important files in the cloud, so they are safe and backed up in case of a problem. I also use it to keep my files available to me wherever I am. And lastly, I use it to collaborate and share files with people I am working with on various projects, or even just with friends.

"File Sharing Tool"

// Project Manager at Extra Vital Science

What do you like about Dropbox?

It is very easy to create external links and share files with external parties. I like that in this platform a simple interface. This software allows my team to easily download and sort files. I really like that all my documents are stored in the cloud. I have a lot of work that I do from different computers and locations, and it's nice to know that I do not need to carry a laptop or load it on a flash drive. I can exchange documents and images with colleagues and friends without having to send individual emails or print multiple copies. This is a great program for sharing files of any type.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

I did not like the restrictions in free user spaces, and the program had problems with counting the addition of space by invitation. The program has little storage space for documents and files, I'd like more. To export a video, you need to take additional steps.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

If you want to use this program professionally, you need to purchase a paid version that will allow you to have more functions and more memory.

What do you like about Dropbox?

It is a great way to store and share up to date files with my team. We often work from different places and by using Dropbox, we are always connected in terms of data that we use and share with each other.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

There is really not much i can complain about. I had a few issues with the free version. The Dropbox i was using was full, thus not accepting any new files. I cleaned it, but it took another few hours before i could actually upload something new.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

"Dropbox is great and is always getting better"

// Customer Service Representative at Secury

What do you like about Dropbox?

I love that I can easily share projects I'm working on, photos, and documents in one organized app with multiple people and groups. No need for multiple apps or programs to share and edit info with others. Dropbox is not only a cloud file store, it still has many useful features. Dropbox is also very reliable file storage with it you can not be afraid for the security of your files. A handy program for people who work on several computers or other devices. I did not immediately learn about the option "Screenshots" in the program, maybe someone will be useful. In the settings of Dropbox, there is this option you click on the keyboard button PrintScreen and the screenshot is automatically saved to the folder.

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

Dropbox perfectly performs the above functions. I have been using this service for a long time and I have never had any problems or failures.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

I use this program, both in everyday life for personal files and on a work. I like the fact that I can create a document on a work drop it in Dropbox folder, and then come home and already continue to work with it, because synchronization happens instantly.

"Dropbox!"

// Social Studies/U. S. History/World Geography/World History Teacher at Georgia Virtual School

What do you like about Dropbox?

Dropbox is a great place to store documents that you need to access from different locations without taking my laptop with me. I also know that my files are safe in case my computer crashes (like it did recently.) I was glad to know that I had my most important work saved there!

What do you dislike about Dropbox?

I don't have any complaints about Dropbox! (Of course we would all love for it to be free, but that's unrealistic!)

What have you been using it for and what problems did Dropbox solve?

My laptop died a few weeks ago and the computer had 4 years worth of work stored on it. My most important files were stored in Dropbox! I realized then that it is essential to have files stored remotely. Also I needed to access my files while purchasing another computer and I could do that with Dropbox! I won't be without it!
