"Very good remote access application"


What do you like about ConnectWise?

The ease of setting up a new connection to a remote server. Once a connection to the remote server is made, create an CW agent from the management portal and execute it on the remote server. That will establish the secure connection between the remote server and the CW management portal. From that point on, the remote server can be accessed securely, without having to use a VPN connection.

What do you dislike about ConnectWise?

Nothing really, the only little annoyance I have is that CW is very regularly switching to new servers (when they release a new version). This also means that the agents, on the remote servers, have to be upgraded to the newer version. But luckily that is very easy to do from the management portal.

What have you been using it for and what problems did ConnectWise solve?

Our customer often have a complicated VPN solution in place, but we (as MSP) will not allow all sorts of VPN clients on our machines. Also all these different VPN clients might clash with each other. So to avoid having to use these VPN clients, we use ConnectWise to have 1 type of remote connections but still be as secure as possible.
