So easy and versatile

// Digital Nomad Serial Entrepreneur at Multiple

What do you like about Trello?

Trello is so easy to pickup - I often find products like this to be counter intuitive and overcomplicated but Trello is something you can just start using immediately. Because it's so simple it is also really versatile - I use it for to do lists, team collaboration, content planning, even sometimes a diary! You could use it in any industry and for work/personal.

What do you dislike about Trello?

There are probably lots of features I haven't discovered yet! It might be nice to have some templates you could use as suggestions - I'm sure people use boards for some awesome things I've never thought of.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Trello solve?

I have used it for planning tasks to launch a new product (with multiple collaborators using the same board).
I've also used it for sales funnels - moving each client along a sales funnel per stage
And for my to do list - I have a board per day and move the tasks into which day I will be doing them

Organizing your projects is very simple with this tool.

// 3D Animator at General Motors

What do you like about Trello?

I like that the interest is based on a main board in which you can organize your ideas and the stages of the project, besides being able to add other colleagues to participate in the development and planning, the checklist tool is very useful and it seems efficient and very creative.

What do you dislike about Trello?

The palette of available tools lacks professional options to measure performance times, efficiency statistics, work time line and other very useful options to manage projects.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Trello solve?

In the office it is important to be able to organize projects and establish the daily tasks of each project, that way I have control over every activity I do during the day.

Trello is a platform designed to organize time and common tasks.

// Analista at Fondo de Compensación Interterritorial - Consejo Federal de Gobierno

What do you like about Trello?

It is very easy to use. This tool is useful for tasks where much faster work methods are required. To manage groups and actions that lead to important decisions. Ideal to schedule important matters with priority character through boards that are created to have an order in each event.

What do you dislike about Trello?

It is a tool that is designed to work with simple and concrete schemes. It does not have the facility to share the boards to other devices. The roles that are put together in this tool usually have disabilities in the resource that validates them. The sources or codes to upload data is not very advanced.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Trello solve?

I had agendas everywhere to solve and with this tool I was able to improve my files, my emails, my contacts and my projects so that when I checked I went to Trello and with just a click I could know how I am and what I still have to do; or if I need to rest or take a vacation.

What do you like about Trello?

I was able to get up and running with Trello in 10 minutes. I like being able to see all the infinite amount of details it takes to manage products.

What do you dislike about Trello?

Trello is great for sorting personal to dos and simple collaboration. When a team grows above 20 people, it becomes very easy to outgrow it. Deeper products are needed

Great tool for collaboration and project management

// Graphic Designer at Anthony Garcia

What do you like about Trello?

I have a lot of projects I work on and for myself, I manage them using Asana, but for the projects, I am working on that I need to collaborate with my clients on I use Trello. Trello is colorful, simple to use, intuitive, and fun.
It is also pretty powerful and serious. You can use it for simple things like organizing your household chores, but you can also integrate it with other tools and use it in a powerful way to manage serious projects.

What do you dislike about Trello?

There are a few user interface things that I don't really like and seem confusing; like when you add a card — you start typing the title, but if you want to add a description, tags, checklists or images, you have to hit the button to create the card, which puts your cursor in the field to start creating another new card, then click out of it and click back in to it again. Can be confusing for my clients who aren't already using Trello.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Trello solve?

I use Trello with my clients to make a quick and easy place for them to track the projects we are working on as they progress and also to make new requests and request revisions throughout the process. It keeps there from being a bunch of mixed up emails threads that get confusing and end up having things slip through the cracks. With Trello we can see the progress and attach whatever we need right in the board and everything is in one place, clear and easy.

What do you dislike about Trello?

Trello for daily tasks

// Web Software Developer at DXC Technology

What do you like about Trello?

Trello, as for me, is a unique product that combines both task-manager and CRM-system. The most important thing is that it was easy to implement Trello, but all because it offers a clear and simple interface and a rich toolkit. I really like that notifications come in real time, that's why the whole history of work is at hand. The application itself has the same capabilities as the desktop or web platform, so you can work even with the phone, only it's not always convenient.

What do you dislike about Trello?

Few features for large businesses, Trello is not for the giants of the market, but primarily for small businesses. For a long time of use, I still can not quickly scatter new tasks, it would not hurt the developers to add the automation of some processes.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Trello solve?

We use Trello only for urgent and simple projects in our company.

Trello - one of the best services for managing tasks

// Software Engineer at Lucky Table

What do you like about Trello?

Task manager is excellent, easy to learn, easy to use, but still, they need to be able to use. From personal experience I will say that the longer you work in it, the faster and more efficiently you use it. Within its board framework, Trello makes it very easy for you to customize how you use the tool so that it fits exactly what you need. You can use color schemes to mark tasks, use different widgets, as well as browser extensions.

What do you dislike about Trello?

Not much really. I would like more integration with messengers, for example, WhatsApp or Telegram. I have not found any more shortcomings, for the small business an indispensable program.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Trello solve?

We use Trello in our creative group to help keep our projects organized and assigned. We prefer our project management process to be less wearing and more flexible, so it works well for us.

Couldn't live without it

// Cofounder / Marketing, Growth, Technology, Experience at Sensacional Chile

What do you like about Trello?

It's extremely flexible, fast and easy to use.
I can think of 1,000 different type of projecta where Trello might be useful for management.
You can easily distribute work and have a clear view of anything.

What do you dislike about Trello?

It's hard to track time (Ollert is a free app that can help, but not the same).
Its strengtht is also its weakness: extremely simple so in cases where you need something a bit more specific or complex Trello won't do it.
Nevertheless, this cases are very rare and generally we can use it for anything.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Trello solve?

We use it to arrange our work.
In some cases we use it for things that need to move from one stage to the other (as Kanban). We use it for customer support cases, growth initiatives and mostly anything that needs to move from one side to the other.

We have some boards also for arranging our work in different areas and others for storing ideas (thought it might be better to use Google Sheets for that).

I personally use it for managing my week using GTD.

What do you like about Trello?

Very easy learning curve. Almost anyone (i.e. my grandmother) can learn how to use it for general to do's in a few minutes. Can also scale up with add ins and such to bigger tasks. Excellent user experience!

What do you dislike about Trello?

The drag and drop xp is a bit cumbersome. Could use some work. Also the limits on power ups for free users can be annoying, but thats life.

The best project management tool I've found so far

// Founder at YardYum

What do you like about Trello?

Trello is just plain simple to use. I have a background in computer engineering, so I can typically learn how to use an app quicker than the average person, but Trello is just so intuitive, that I honestly think ANYONE could figure it out in mere minutes.

I like how the GUI is organized. It's easy to create lists (I prefer "Do Later", "Do Soon", "Doing", and "Done") and add cards (tasks) to them.

Collaborating with team members is a breeze too. You can simply type @ in the comment fields to mention another user, and they'll get a notification.

With Trello, it's really simple to manage pretty much any type of project.

What do you dislike about Trello?

Although I love A LOT about Trello, there's one particular thing that often annoys me. This is the lack of nested comments. If another user has commented on a card, you'll see a "reply" link below it. But when you click "reply", your cursor gets sent back to the top comment textarea field where it initiates an @ mention for that user. However, after clicking "Save", your comment appears at the very top of the comment thread, not *nested* underneath the comment you're referencing. Think of how frustrating Facebook would be if comments weren't nested? I'm sure Trello is well aware of this though and has plans to fix it.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Trello solve?

So far I've used Trello for two projects. One was a local volunteer group that wanted our city council to adopt a resolution for 100% renewable electricity (which we accomplished - yay!). We had some older members in our group so I had to write up a quick document describing how to use Trello. But they picked it up fairly quickly.

The second project is a website application that is currently under development. There's only two of us involved, so it's not like we have a huge team or anything, but we use Trello on a daily basis to communicate, keep each other updated on the progress of tasks, and set deadlines. It works great!

What can't you do with Trello?

What do you like about Trello?

I love the simplicity, and yet the ability to make Trello just about anything you want it to be. It's like notes, and tasks on steroids. Using it with my team makes being on top of tasks a breeze.

What do you dislike about Trello?

The learning curve is a touch steep when it comes to the advanced uses. Some of the formatting options don't make sense to me.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Trello solve?

We use Trello to track our product roadmap. Our main board shows all the features and integrations that we desire to develop. We then section that into the development board so that our developers can set up their tasks. We track what is in current stages of development.
