It is a good tool to connect remote teams. The questions and the prompting takes away the manual thought behind asking team members for their daily updates.
Not a dislike, but they are still building out some features that would be great for us to have. But they were responsive to adding this to their roadmap.
Using this tool for our daily standup workflow and end-of-day reports has been fantastic. It’s super easy to use and has become a crucial part of our routine. The features are intuitive, making Slack more engaging and efficient for our team. We’ve seen a noticeable improvement in communication and productivity. I highly recommend giving this tool a try—it’s truly a game-changer, and you won’t be disappointed!
Up to now, we haven’t encountered any major drawbacks, so I’d say it’s pretty good.
Geekbot is our go-to tool for keeping our team in sync and our projects on track. It's like having a virtual assistant that handles our check-ins, updates, and internal communication. It's easy and quick to use, and our teams seem to be using it very effortlessly. If you're serious about boosting productivity and promoting communication within your team, Geekbot is the way to go. Plus, the client service team is really responsive and flexible, always helping us as needed!
There is nothing that we would like to report, Geekbot has been working very well for our team.
One of the cool features about Geekbot is that as an organization with remote teams, its hard to track what each individual is working on or if they are blocked . Plus it is hard to have a team meeting due to them being in different time zones. However once I implemented geekbot , the process became much easier for everyone ,just by answering these 3 questions
1-What did you do today?
2-What will you do tomorrow?
3- Are you facing any blockers?
So it has definitely helped with streamlining the process and also is useful for attendance purposes, whether an individual has worked or not on that particular day
Nothing much cause it fits our organizational needs and has helped us in getting up to 80% efficiency in terms of delieverables.
Geekbot is a great tool to help the team to gather and share their work with others without having to pause their days for a meeting. This tool helps greatly with documentation and task tracking.
Could be easier to access from Slack, because I have to go to the Geekbot website to configure it.

Geek bot has been wonderful addition to our daily scrum meetings! As a Scrum Master, I’ve noticed that engagement with my devs have been up and they enjoy using it as well. Customer Service always super helpful! Great product!
No dislikes here. Maybe the price could be a little lower but other then that everything has been great!
Geekbot has significantly improved the way we manage our marketing tasks. We now have a structured approach to our standups - each person’s priorities are clear, and we can quickly identify and address any blockers. It’s also a great tool for fostering team spirit; the “Friday Kudos” feature allows us to recognize the outstanding work of our colleagues, making us feel valued and appreciated.
When I don't respond before another Geekbot prompt arrived, I wasn't able to go back and answer the previous one. There may be a way around this, but I wasn't able to find it!

Nothing - a really fab product. It's a little hard to get the new users on but otherwise great.
Geekbot helps us to track overall welbeing and productivity of the company. And most importantly, when any problem occurs, we track and resolve it quickly.
There is no big issue with geekbot. More integration would be better, for example integration to Jira and getting tasks automatically.
We use it as an internal update tool.
Geekbot has helped my team become more communicative and collaborate as well. They have kept in better touch with me and GeekBot has saved me time by generating automatic check-in's for my clients.
I would like to see a feature with the Slack integration that allows check-in responses to be delivered right back to the DM with my clients rather than another channel in Slack. This is a bit clunky for me and hard to keep track of responses in two different chat threads. It's hard for my clients too.

As Async team it's hard to keep everyone informed and well engaged. Geekbot helps ut overcome that challenge in a simple and effective way.
Our team have been using geekbot for a years and it really makes our life easir. we integrated it on slack so we can share our daily to do and this help us in coordinating work between each other and schedule how the working day is going to run. Moreover, we are using geekbot to generate daily reports on the operations channel so this ease the process of organizing the day flow and end of day flow.
so far everything looks good we didn't notice any problem however it failed one or twices through our whole usage.
Geekbot has been a game-changer for our remote team. We used to struggle with staying connected and up-to-date on each other's progress, but with Geekbot's easy-to-use interface and integration with our existing tools, we've been able to streamline our communication and focus on what really matters. Highly recommend it to any remote team!

Geekbot allows us to customize the questions asked in the status update and set the frequency at which updates are collected. This allows teams to tailor the tool to their specific needs.
The cost of the software may be a bit high, especially for small or startup companies. While Geekbot does integrate with popular project management and communication tools like Slack and Trello, it does not integrate with other tools.
Allows me the flexibility to easily manage my team's updates. This has greatly improved my team's productivity.

We have recently adopted agile ways of working at Dr Martens. We are a global company and our product team works across four different time zones (UK, US, India, Bulgaria). We were finding the time difference challenging, and decided to trial Geekbot for our daily stand-ups. What we like about Geekbot is the ability to tailor the questions to our team, choose what time to automate the questions being sent out, and being able to link the responses to our Teams channel. Geekbot has turned out to be a valuable tool for us in being able to keep track of what all team members are working on throughout the day and where they have any questions or blockers. We intend on continuing with Geekbot once our trial period ends
Have to set timer to half hour before meetings start otherwise there is not enough time for the team to respond to the questions, but this is very minor
One of the greatest workflow informers with simple report generation. This tool is simple to set up and works well. This platform's superb user interface is another strength.
There is no issue with Performance. We are happy with the features and services given.

It is a simple software that is well integrated into another tool we use - Slack - and helps us with our async workflows.
Not much, as said it's a simple tool and it does what it should do, so there's not much to complain.

it's very easy to set up. We use the standups for our daily task managing, either designed for group morning work plan or specific questions for different individuals to track the projects
I'd like to set different time/question choices in the same standup for different team members if possible.

That some of the features aren't free. I have only 18 people participating in a 2-week writing challenge and I don't like that I would have to pay $50 a year just to use the check-in feature.

The Geekbot has a lot of features that make your teamwork more easier and productive. Our department uses a stand-up functionality every weekday
when I need to edit my report, then I want to have advanced formatting support, because for now links, mentions or smiles cannot be used after report updating

Our team of 4 enjoy using Geekbot for asynchronous sprint stand-ups and retrospects. The Geekbot dashboard makes it easy to customize the questions and schedules for both types of asynchronous meetings. Geekbot integrates with Slack making it easy to track and document meeting responses. It can be configured to send reminders to team members according to a customized schedule. Along with being able to set a customized schedule, it’s always an option to use a Geekbot slack command to do an impromptu record. All these features make communicating as a team, spread across several time zones, convenient.
To date we have not found anything we would change about Geekbot. It has all the features we require as a team.

I love that Geekbot integrates with tools we are already using (Slack) to help out team maximize transparency into projects and ensure we are moving items forward.
It would be great if organizations could have multiple teams within the program, opposed to the entire organization functioning as a single team.
With many projects going on in a remote environment, Geekbot has helped to provide a virtual way for the team to provide status updates.

We have been using Geekbot for the past months and my team really likes it. Overall, this is a great stand-up product, and we are happy with it. I like that it's very easy to use, great UX with a web interface, integrates with Slack, and has detailed analytics and reporting. Our team uses it daily to improve their productivity and team collaboration. We use Geekbot every day for our daily team stands up as well as running our 360 anonymous performance reviews.
Overall, I really like Geekbot because it saves us time, improves our productivity and is very convenient. However, there are a few things that could be improved:
- We can't nudge participants of anonymous surveys to complete the survey. This is a problem because our participant rate of anonymous surveys (e.g. 360 performance review survey) is currently very low. Please develop this feature so that we can keep in touch with the participants and nudge them with Geekbot if they do not complete the survey within the allotted time frame. This feature exists with Simple Poll.
- Geekbot could be expensive for big teams because they charge per user instead of a fixed charge per month, which could make it too costly for small businesses who have a lot of interns / seasonal staff / temp staff like ours. Similarly, Simple Poll has a fixed monthly cost.
I really appreciate all the work that the Geekbot team put into making the product so easy to use, please consider making the above improvements. The good news is that these are very easy fixes! I hope they will take them into consideration.

This tool is practical. It allows the whole team to keep track of each other's work. I like to personalise the questions and change them regularly.
I would like to be able to setup holidays or times off for my team, so they do not receive the reminder, and they do not impact on the stats
As a remote team, we use it to complete the daily stand up meeting. We keep track of everybody's activities and we don't have to update a common document one by one.

Geekbot is dead simple, and it lives where our team lives: in Slack. Set up your questions, your recipients, and your schedule, and you're off and running.
Nothing to fault here. It's got the right mix of features and simplicity to cover the basics.
Geekbot is a huge time and cost saver for us. Letting people write daily updates asynchronously via slack means everybody can post/read status updates as it suits their schedule. Avoiding those in person meetings saves dozens of hours a week and gives everyone larger blocks of uninterrupted time to get work done.

Geekbot gives us a snapshot of what the whole team is working on each day. This helps managers keep track of deliverables, reduces the formation of silos in the team as well as fostering an environment of support and learning as this enables team members to flag obstacles earlier and receive the help they need
Customisable templates - This is an area where Geekbot could improve - they just don't have as many templates as their competitors do. I would like to see more templates around process like employee onboarding, which Standuply offers.

So far our team is only using Geekbot to handle Standup, but it is amazing. There is not a single thing missing there. A most appreciated feature is that it handles timezones. Our company works with people from Europe, the US, South America and New Zealand without this, standup would be a mess.
Also love that people can pick and choose the best time for them to fill their standup, that's especially practical for contractors that have variable hours.
It would be amazing if the whole setting up of standups could be done directly in slack, but honestly I don't see anything I don't like about Geekbot so far.
It's also a bit of a shame that the free version is only up to 10, we have a small budget as indie developers and would really appreciate that extra expense
It took me 5 minutes to setup the standup and add all my little details and settings, it posts everyone's reports in our dedicated channel and people can check those out whenever in a clear and easy way. We ask "Do you need to talk to anyone ?" each day, and people tag whoever it is they have to talk to. Easy and super useful.
It solved the issue of people on different timezones forgetting to fill up their standup every morning

Geekbot is great for checking in with my coworkers to create a sense of community as we typically experience in a traditional workplace. Specifically, we use the feature that prompts us all to check in about how we're doing each day so that we know where everyone stands mentally and emotionally. This feature is not only good for understanding ow our fellow coworkers are doing, but also for holding ourselves accountable by responding to these prompts every day.
We've only used the trial version of Geekbot so far, so there is not much to dislike about the features that we are using.
As previously mentioned, we have been using Geekbot mainly for daily Standup updates from each of our interns and coworkers to make sure that everyone is transparent and on the same page regarding wellbeing, projects, and obstacles.

Their personalization is really remarkable - you can make the stand-ups feel really personalized for your team. Tips are also a great feature. Slack messages feel really personal. Just overall outstanding.
Timezone reminders are a little buggy right now, sometimes I don't get the pings in the mornings which is odd when my team members get it.

The product is easy to implement and use. It helps the team keep an overview of what everyone is working on on a day to day basis.
It would be nice if there was a possibility to set the part-timers'participation days as an administrator instead of having them change it individually in their personal preferences.

If it ain't broken, don't fix it. Geekbot understands that since they flawlessly integrate Slack for the collaborative part, while implementing a super easy interface for admin customization. Simple + efficient = brilliant.
Pricing is pretty stiff. Since we use only one feature, segmented pricing (for small startups as ourselves) would be appreciated. Every dollar counts in times of pandemic, after all.
It's pretty much the cornerstore of our office life since the pandemic/remote obligations we now have. Standups feel like a breeze now, with their simple Slack bot asking you every morning the question you need answers for, as a team.

I can get to know my teammates better when we work remotely. Geekbot facilitates icebreaker questions and encourages participation by directly DM-ing the relevant people, before sharing your answer to the publishing channel.
There is no option to customize your plan, if only certain kinds of Standup templates are needed. ie. only Pizza Questions (icebreaker style)

I like that geekbot allows my team does daily standups asynchronously through Slack. I like that geekbot was easy to set up and I like that it records my team's responses.

easy to set up check in questions, and to synthesize the data from it. allows me to ping students assynchronously about how they are doing, and address concerns and where they would like more coverage on topics in class. Also allows them to see where other students are, building a community of learning!
a little pricey for education use. i can see how this pricing it appropriate for businesses, but it would be nice to have education tier pricing as well.

I need to teach 9 teams a class using Agile. Geekbot is a great way to get the Daily Standup into a single place, have a single experience for all students, and have a way for me to easily see students who may need hekp

We love its sijmplicity. After a very fast setup, you have your own space with your team in order to update each other about your progress. Simple, fresh & professional.
After more than 2 months of using it, still haven't found any downside of the product. It does what it's created for.

I love the way is it a fun and efficient way to keep up with teams remotely. We use it everyday to have a a-synchronic catch up meeting.
I wish it was in spanish because I manage a multilingual team not all english speakers.

We have been trying many products and methods in order to effectively conduct our daily standups digitally. However nothing quite worked until one of our employees suggested we try geekbot. SInce then it's been smooth sailing for our daily standups
Would be great witha personal weekend feature to not get prompted for questions. Our issue is that we operate in Dubai and Europe which has weekends on Friday Saturday vs Saturday Sunday.
We used it for our daily standups and Geekbot solved this by making it super easy for everyone to give a proper update

I got it running in less than 30 minutes. It worked as I expected, and people got the hang of its purpose quickly.
There are some texts that I can't customize (i.e. settings). I would like to be able to translate it to my native language.

It's very easy to use and have improved as never before the communication and the solutions dialogue with our different departments

What I love about Geeky is that he allows me to stay on top of what my employees are doing every day, how are they feeling and what tasks they are achieving which is great for accountability.

We have used geekbot for 6 months or more and it's very helpful. Everything is customizable, the support is very fast and, besides that, it generates reports about the teams and the tasks that are in progress. I recommend it!

All the standups are customizable. You can have many teams as you like, each with a different standup, including questions and schedules.
We've used it daily in our team for more than 6 months and it's totally part of our daily routine.
The leak of support for some languages on default answers. You can skip some questions or the entire report, but you have to use the specific keywords. Customize those words would be great.

We are a distributed team across 3 countries, and we are doing our daily standups and retrospectives using Geekbot. The best part about it is, it is quite easy to get started and once you set it up it just works! I really like the simplicity of the tool, which basically increases the adoption rate within the team dramatically.
There were one or two times where the application didn't send our messages right at the time, but even though there were latencies the messages still got delivered and these were pretty small issues.
We have been using it as a team to manage our online Scrum ceremonies, which allows us to gather our thoughts before our online meetings and keep everything documented. Geekbot is nice, and it allows us to move forward without dealing with pushing everyone to post their updates and collecting them in a structured manner, Geekbot handles all of these for us.

The accountability it creates by keeping team members engaged and work done transparent as well as bringing to light any impediments.
The dashboard, api, webhooks, and data all help in keeping good records to measure velocity alongside burndown charts and other tools.
The staff have been very helpful.

The tool is pretty easy to use, and it is perfect to manage teams spread in different time zones. Easy to follow the tasks progress.
The configured time to start the standups is not always respected. However, the delay is not too big.

• Love the engagement survey/reminder to nudge
• Pleasant/engaging customer support
• Quick reply status for repeating the same status from the previous day
• Doesn't always start on time
• Suffered from extensive delays a few times (20-30 minutes between questions)
• Unable to manage other standups (I purchased for several teams but I'm unable to see/configure their settings)
• Response times from customer support are a bit slow even via intercom (expect 1-2 business days, sometimes longer)
• Timeline performance (dashboard view) for summarization sometimes lags
We used to have daily standups in person but some people are soft-spoken, so it became difficult to keep everyone engaged or respond to issues as they came up. Our velocity was slow and coordination began to degrade -- within a week of switching to geekbot everything improved drastically.

I like the UI to manage standup. I like the dead simple integration with Slack and all of the slack commands you can use to pause standup updates (like if you're on vacation), and to start new standup reports. I like that Geekbot does everything we need it to do without additional complexity.
Occasionally I will notice that the standup prompt doesn't happen exactly when I've set it to. It is usually not much later (a couple of minutes), but it's the only complaint I can think of.
I work for a 100% distributed remote company, and therefor the team I manage is spread all over the globe. Geekbot works really well for us. When I sign on in the morning, I can see all of the updates from my teammates in Asia and Europe and any conversations that resulted from their updates. It really helps the team maintain consistent communication and we always include a fun question ("What was something awesome you did outside of work yesterday?") Which helps us continue to get to know our teammates better. I also like that we have this standup in a "public" channel on our company slack, so anyone else in the company can see what's going on and chime in.

Having a remote team is difficult and Geekbot makes our daily standup an easy and convenient way to keep a pulse on the team. We have only just scratched the surface on the functionality but excited to continue to explore.
Having to pay for services is never ideal, but GB provides much more functionality than some of the free versions we tried.

In Chicas en Tecnologia we found it difficult to find a moment in which to sit down and see what the team was working on a daily basis. So it was difficult to identify emergencies or actions to take against certain objectives and things to do.
We started using Geekbot from Slack and it helped us a lot to organize ourselves, to see the work that each one does, to do things in a dynamic way. It is a very useful tool.

Geekbot is by far the best Daily Standup app for slack! I'm attending college and have a Software Engineering group project. Our group needed a Daily Standup slack bot to make our Standups easier and we had tried two others before with bad luck. Standup Alice gave us so many problems so we switched to Geekbot and we could not be happier!! Geekbot has been excellent and I've recommended it to other teams at school who have equally loved it. I highly recommend it!!
I have nothing to complain about, we have not had one issue with Geekbot and I definitely recommend giving it a try.

I like how easy it is to setup your daily and reminders.
It is also very useful the repository of all publications and how you can navigate on it. The price is also good for me, since it is cheaper than other similar platforms.
What I dislike could be applied to other competitors. I think asynchronus bots should leave you more freedom, provide you the "What I am I going to do today" of the previous day as "What did you do yesterday" of the current day and other improvements like that.
Run asynchronus daily meetings with remote teams.

Geekbot it's a powerful tool to remind the whole team individuals they need to communicate their progresses. I know, it's kind of obvious everyone should remember to communicate and give accountability of their work, however as the team grows is difficult for managers to keep everyone on that page and that's where geekbot adds value automatizing any kind of reporting activity that is relevant. Super recommend!!!!
The price is quiet expensive for startups based in countries like ours, where currency is devaluated.
It reduced the problem of a lack of transparency/accountability of the team members, and added a consistent way for them to report asynchronously....

Geekbot has made it easier for our remote team to stay connected to eachother.
Using Geekbot is so simple and straightforward and feels like it fits in naturally into our remote working lifestyle.
The price of $3 per user seems a bit high as we grow more. I would be much happier paying for tiered pricing that allows up to x users.
We're a small team spread across North America. It's been a challenge for us to feel like we're working together at times since each of us is working on a different part of the project. Geekbot has made the team feel more tight-knit.

Working at a busy creative development agency can be chaotic, and running one can be even crazier. Managing multiple global clients and teams in various locations can be a cumbersome process especially when it comes to organising daily stand ups on various time zones. That is where Geekbot has come in to save the day, by allowing us to alert the team members at 09:00 to update Geekbot with their notes for the project, this then collates and sends a detailed summary to the PM and the key account stake holders.
I would suggest maybe adding a feature for the PM or team to interject when another team member raises a blocking point or issue so it pauses sending further updates to an action has been agreed.
We have primarily used Geekbot to manage mobile application development projects.

We are 4 people in the team and Geekbot helps us stay in touch with each one progress. We scheduled the Bot for each person in the team and we all got updates about the progress. Love it.
Nothing and we tried few different services. I think this one is the best service for Slack.

We're a distributed team and want to break down the culture of facetime and nine-to-five work. Geekbot helps us run our daily asynchronous standups, which allow our team to work on their own schedule. We also do weekly updates with Geekbot so our meetings are about discussing and questioning items, not simply providing updates. This makes us a much more efficient and effective team and we couldn't do it without Geekbot!
