"Carbonite works well despite its mistakes."

// Co CEO at E*TRADE

What do you like about Carbonite?

Carbonite seems to me to be a fairly free platform and the best thing is that it has a connection with different social networks, which facilitates the sharing of files at some point. It really is beneficial to be able to publish a file in a social network uploading it to Carbonite, it is something that almost no platform offers, in addition, its design is innovative, you do not have the risk of being uncomfortable inside the platform. You have a really favorable experience with the excellent design that gives the user.

What do you dislike about Carbonite?

The problem with Carbonite is that this platform does not work very well on iOS devices, I have constantly tried it on my iPhone devices, and in none I have been able to upload a file, the connection remains slow and uploading a file becomes very tedious iPhone

What have you been using it for and what problems did Carbonite solve?

Despite the mistakes it has in cell phones, carbonite has given me some excellent benefits, now it gives me a platform where I can develop with my colleagues and share with them different files of interest.

"Carbonite works well, until you need to restore a large file"

// Chief Operating Officer, and HIPAA Privacy Officer at dmi Networking

What do you like about Carbonite?

Carbonite is easy to set up, and the icons it adds to the backed up folders let you tell at a glance what is being backed up, and if it is current or not. It's nice not to have to launch Carbonite to look at status.

What do you dislike about Carbonite?

Restoring from the cloud is very slow, which is problematic for large files. The webpage you download from actually times out after 10 minutes of inactivity, and if you are downloading you need to keep the webpage up. We've had to restart downloads of large files by not clicking in the window periodically. This is a deal-breaker for us, although some clients still have us manage their Carbonite for them because it's cheaper for them.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Carbonite solve?

We use it for file/folder backup, mostly on Macs. For PCs we use something else that isn't compatible with Mac.
