Editors' Review by the Blogging Software Review Team

WordPress is one of the most popular blogging solutions in the current market. With powerful features that focus on creating the perfect website and incorporating robust, third-party tools, users are given a platform to reach their creative potential. It started out as an easy blogging solution but quickly grew into a fully functional CMS system. Now it comes with a wide array of plugins, themes and widgets.

With WordPress, you can create your website within minutes. You also have the option of downloading and installing software scripts that further customize how your site functions and looks. Additionally, if you’re looking to build a strong and modern web presence, then this solution is one of the best options to have. It has extremely customizable functionalities and a large interactive community in which you can ask support from.

The types of websites that can be created using WordPress include:

Blogs – allows you to create a powerful blog with your own domain name, automatic software updates and secure hosting. It also comes with a built-in SEO, sharing capabilities and social media integration. Additional tools include website statistics and responsive mobile themes.

Websites – like the blogs, users can create websites within minutes through the features WordPress offers such as several available themes and an intuitive editor with HTML and Markdown support.

Domains – having your own domain makes you stand out more and solidifies your identity online. Depending on your pricing plan, you can benefit in using a domain for one year.

eCommerce – if you’re looking to sell products online, having a powerful and profitable website is the best way to start. WordPress allows you to make use of several functionalities online. This includes processing payments, creating an online store and selling anything to anyone across the globe.

Self-hosted solutions – people think that once they use WordPress, it’s all they need. However, you can make use of other solutions. This includes bluehost.com and DreamHost. The first custom installation is designed to give users proven performance, reliability and functionality. The second one has benefits such as automatic security and backups and up to 20x daily traffic scaling.

While it’s true you can benefit from several powerful tools in this solution, it still poses a few problems with newcomers. You need technical background and coding expertise if you want to create your ideal website. For new users, they can have trouble in hosting, troubleshooting and customizing. It is the shaping software and the software comes with a wide variety of features and plug-ins that are tightly tuned to give presence to the look of the area. Together, the tool is well associated with different inn services. I really like that WordPress is a narrowly possible tool to use, it is not essential to have prior knowledge in website foundation, it offers extraordinary interface and many amazing designs. WordPress has
become a more advanced working method and each date more used today, it has excellent features that make it completely uneven from the rest, such as: Design: its unique mode and design make it shine
ductile and closely constant when rolling. in each of the options it offers. Templates: all templates are professional and some others are basic, in our case the loose adaptation offers many
more templates, which are ideal for your web space. Plugins: the plugins offered by this great platform are excellent and have a large amount of downloads, They are closely important at the
design time and closely necessary to discourage what is sought in a blog or web space. Widgets: Widgets are closely important and necessary for some users who need to use it big, so WordPress has
a large number of widgets that are tailored to your website effectively.Wordpress is a highly variable software, well accredited by its initials (CMS), with which you can direct and print
content by founding a blog, or in the case of a company, founding a web space with the best computer tools. Wordpress has become accustomed to not being eligible to position numerous in CMS software providers, since it is eternally in full modernity of its tools and options, to the beneficiary an Optimal employment practice. Wordpress is closely expert and variable as it offers you many
templates, which you can use depending on the example of company where you work. Likewise, you can link other software on your blog or productive web area, such as chat rooms, customer service through phone calls, payment methods, redirect links and affirmation for those who visit your commercial web space. This software is still one of the best that exists today as they are eternally updating and adding new plugins.Wordpress.com comes with a modern method of custom updates. This has
authorized me to renew my themes and plugins from the WordPress address section. Wordpress will automatically notify me when you have used the latest adaptation. Therefore, renewing my space
requires a click of the button. Adapting the themes and plugins of wordpress.com is natural. This is because they come with an associated options panel that allows me to change the tone, attribute the company logo, set attractive slides, and toggle the background. This means that I can adapt my web
space without using any code.Wordpress is the superior platform to establish blogs and personal or business websites in a possible and fast way, in a basic and simple way we can establish our blog or
web space. It is downloaded from its representative space and installed very quickly, specifically it is sincere, which implies that we can share it, modify it and help its progress, that is why it
has a large corporation of users and developers. Wordpress has innumerable free themes that we can experiment and place, fundamentally if we are starting to use it, specifically, there are also miles of plugins that can be placed to optimize any example of functionality that our blog or web space requires.

What do you dislike about WordPress?

Wordpress is the optimal platform for blogging institutes and personal or commercial websites in a potential and quick way, in a basic and brief way, we can found our blog or area on the web. It is
saved from its characteristic area and is installed very quickly, specifically it is frank, which implies that we can share it, modify it and help its advance, which is why it has a great
association of users and developers. Wordpress has a succession of free themes that we can experiment and locate, fundamentally if we are starting to use it, specifically, there are miles of
plugins that can be installed to modify any example of functionality that our blog or web area requires.I don't like that you require classification knowledge if you want to make background
modifications to the template. However, the majority of WordPress functions are manageable and intuitive. I don't like the Gutenberg text printer, possibly since I'm used to the Tiny editor, which is more unconditional. WordPress plugins are not easy to target, fundamentally those that come in a default speech that require version to achieve the maneuver as such. Incorrectly deploying can
lead to certainty flaws or destroy the web area. Among the negative aspects of this great application we can find the following: the mechanical advance in a closely continuous way is not
entirely safe, since it has certain incompatibilities between various elements that can cause slow work on the website or the award-winning work of the SameSometimes WordPress crashes without any prior warning, and this causes you to have to reinstall WordPress from scratch and do it again, but in most cases you can get back anything that is a big deal. Also, if you are unfamiliar in the world of website ranking / progress / design, you may
notice some difficulties in crafting an original web space, but there are favorably several WordPress tutorials on the web to help you instruct the whole process. Sometimes I run into trouble
tracing images for some knowledge. This could definitely be on my side, but it seems like there are narrowly specific regulations for portrait types / sizes etc that can get into things that get as
fast-paced as the forcing sea. Finding a phone number in Wordpress web space is very difficult. However I have to find one. I'm from the old school and I like to forge phone calls when I have
problems. The low parallelism of personalization thatWordpress.com offers you included in its premium plans is possibly the worst thing it has, unless you pay for the business procedure that has
approximately total control, but of course, a cost closely related to its adaptation Wordpress. org with good hosting, even if you have to install it there. In spite of everything, WordPress in its
adaptation .com is closely limited, it even has limitations with the business procedure, the most expensive, therefore we move to its adaptation .org and we have changed the use that we gave to a
practice merely Management. Since I moved my WordPress.com web space to wordpress.org you cannot
advertise an article with this software. The primary drawback I came across is having an inadvertent message every time I study attributing a media file like a photo. The error message says: "The media could not be inserted. Please try again." It frustrates me a lot but I think I'm not hosting my web space with Wordpress anymore. The alteration requires understanding of PHP: combat how to exclude aspecific date field certain sharpness of PHP expression. It is the subject of most tales of modification. Graphics reform requires understanding of CSS and HTML: although there are many
templates available on the home page, most of them are very similar. To craft a unique cathart, you need to know CSS and HTML. Plugins and effectiveness: rival Joomla! or Drupal, WordPress needs many plugins to install. Unfortunately these plugins influence the effectiveness of the script and not in a good way. Another conflict arises when you need to prefer an accessory for a specific
functionality. Among all the kilometers of accessories, most of them have their clones. This means that any functionality can be added by several different plugins created by different authors. Sometimes choosing the service can take up enough time.

What do you like about WordPress?

Wordpress is a tool with multiple functions that I like because in this service I managed to design my blog that fits my needs. It also caught my attention because I can create web design, photography, among others. How much with a wide variety of templates I think is good because it adapts to the needs of each user, it is a powerful tool that is worth using, this service also has a paid version that offers many more functions

What do you dislike about WordPress?

I have very little to say about this part, as it seems to me an excellent service for designers, just some details that extend the free version a bit to attract more users, on the other hand, personally, the server drops but not much happens. I often think it would be good if support investigates the failure

What have you been using it for and what problems did WordPress solve?

Of course, since I can create my blog without restrictions and not like other services that offer to create blog.

"WordPress is a bigleaguer of web design"

What do you like about WordPress?

Creating a web page through WordPress is not just a job, it's also a privilege. I love the templates that the platform offers and they are fully customizable. Designing a website is not simple but it is very professional and sophisticated. I like that every idea that comes to mind I can apply it without any problem and I don't need integration codes, it's just WordPress and me. I also have the SEO tool to leave my website in a privileged position on the Internet.

What do you dislike about WordPress?

WordPress security is a disaster against the attack of hackers or other Internet viruses. However, it is not something that happens frequently. Auto-save doesn't always work properly and some of my work is lost when I have connection issues or the web freezes.

What do you like about WordPress?

I eat, sleep and even bathe thinking what I can create with WordPress. I love it because it is simply the most specialized platform on the market to design a website. It successfully merges with other applications and the positioning it offers me on Google is of high quality. WordPress allows me to customize hundreds of templates without integration codes and I can adapt some interesting widgets. My money and work is worth thanks to this wonderful platform.

What do you dislike about WordPress?

The eternal problem of WordPress is the low security it offers me. A few months ago I decided to apply a plugin to improve it and ended up deleting part of my template, losing the information. I have seen other options but now I am afraid of irreversible modifications in my work.

"The Easiest Ways And Ideal To Create Websites"

What do you like about WordPress?

Definitely, what I like about this product are many things that I will start by saying that it is very easy to create websites without having an advanced knowledge of the subject. It has many features and pricing options that adapt to the needs of each user. It is compatible with the main providers, the Internet hosting is stable, intuitive and easy to administer, it has many templates and different design accessories to choose from. It is also a SEO friendly platform, which means that the coding used allows you to customize the components of the pages you want to rank in the search engines.

What do you dislike about WordPress?

It has some limitations, among others, that there are certain web applications that can not be developed with WordPress. It is also annoying that it is often updated and note that it is running correctly on the page. Another thing to keep in mind is that it does not offer assistance and if you do not have basic knowledge of programming, coding and design, you will inevitably have to seek help in online forums that, in most cases, do not solve the problem. .

What have you been using it for and what problems did WordPress solve?

We use it for the design of simplistic websites and industry standards, such as microsites, building temporary websites. With the use of wordpress, we have the ability to change information easily and elegantly. Wordpress is ideal for SEO.

"excellent tool to create your website"

What do you like about WordPress?

Wordpres is an excellent versatile design tool, to create websites, it is a content management system, focused on the creation of any type of page, what I like about this software is that it is not just a simple system intuitive to create a personal blog, but also allows you to make all kinds of web more complex and professionally. Moreover, it is ideal for people who do not have much technical knowledge about designing pages, since it provides all the necessary tools and templates to personalize them and do much more than create a blog, online stores, digital newspaper and corporate websites, and this is one of the things that catches my attention, since we can use this to give information about our company, who we are, services, clients ect. Thanks to the multitude of templates that wordpress has, we can get minimalist designs, we can create different sections on our website to organize the contents, this is not limited to static pages or a blog page, with the plugins available it helps us to add more functionality such as forms of contact, forum, directories all with having wordpress

What do you dislike about WordPress?

What I do not like about wordpress is difficult with all those tools with a single click, it's hard to say that I do not like something, but I like all the software. In my opinion, the most complicated aspect of managing a Wordpress website has to do with updates. It is almost inevitable that an update will eventually break some functionality on the website, which creates confusion, especially for beginners. Patience study is required since having many tools tends to confuse and be in trial and error. But the rest is a good tool that can be trusted and created, because creativity is needed.

What have you been using it for and what problems did WordPress solve?

I have used wordpress for everything from creating my website to offering my services to create for companies what they need with this tool, such as virtual stores and blog. It has benefited me a lot because I give my best and I create everything professionally so that my clients feel satisfied with a good job. In general, Wordpress is a solid choice of website or blog. If you like to play with the code and immerse yourself in the essentials of website development, you'll love Wordpress.

On the other hand it is very easy to use you can create a lot of content professionally, without worrying that if you know or not programming, it has many useful features and the updates are within a click. Wordpress is undoubtedly one of the best tools and if you work to create a post for your blog and web sites with good organized content, this will be very helpful.

What I do not like at the beginning is that it can be overwhelming because it has many tools and accessories that when you choose you have many options, so you should investigate and the reviews help you in part. On the other hand I stay with wordpress has everything you need to create many things professionally.

"An excellent Blog creator."

What do you like about WordPress?

I love using this application to create a blog, it has allowed me to create my personal blog easy and look very professional, this platform is very easy to use, it is not necessary to have much knowledge in the area of web development, it has a very intuitive interface and also allows me to integrate applications that I use every day to improve the performance of my Blog. It is a fundamental tool. It also allows me to create users so that other people to whom I can allow access can edit the site or upload more information and updates. I also love that you have automatic publications scheduled, this allows publications to be done in a single day and schedule them to be published at the time I want and the days I want.

What do you dislike about WordPress?

The disadvantage of using this platform is that it is designed only for Blogs, it is not recommended for other sites since the interface is designed only for blogs, there are many templates to design other sites but the performance is not the same as other platforms, besides WordPress consumes so many resources that sometimes it is usually slow, and this does not improve the user experience.

"WordPress: The perfect place to create your blog."

What do you like about WordPress?

I really like this platform for my blog, it is the ideal one, it allows me to manage in a very simple way everything related to my website, it has an extremely intuitive and easy to use interface, it also has many templates to configure my website as I want , giving it a very professional look.

I like that you have so many free options, the software as such is free for people who are starting with your company, plus you can get many free themes as well and adapt the website to your needs.

I love the option of automatic publications, that makes me manage my time in an easier way, I can do all the posts of the week a single day and choose which days will be published automatically.

What do you dislike about WordPress?

WordPress has many good things but also has some bad things, one of them is that the site is designed to create only blog, I can create another website with other features but the design will always be customized for blog, that's a disadvantage because if I want to add a store to my site it's a little complicated to do it. In addition to free functions are very limited, for example if I look for a free template the best options are blocked and I must pay to get those functions, it is obvious because it is a business but for people who are starting with your blog can be difficult to pay , but for those of us who have been working with this platform for some time, we know that it is very profitable.

"WordPress Review 2019 "

// System Administrator at Life Time Inc.

What do you like about WordPress?

Excellent system for the administration of my web projects for work/personal use, it is easy to install and has a large amount of documentation, it also has a large market of themes and add-ons with which I can work more quickly, WordPress has many functions to structure and manage My website , I can manage my image library and my publications in a very simple way.

I also like that WordPress is easy to install additional plugins to help optimize our website. There are so many to choose from! Wordpress works pretty well with most plugins, such as Woocommerce. Wordpress also has a few different website builder views, depending on your experience to make it a bit easier to maneuver. If you don't know the code, then you can use a physical builder to see exactly what you are doing. I like that. I don't work in code, so the visual builder has been a huge help for me.

What do you dislike about WordPress?

The free themes and plugin also should have support and updates as paid themes and plugin does. The WordPress should be fast and optimize why need plugin to do that. Google analytic official plugin is not there. It should be more secure, fast, and fully free.

Also, it is a little difficult to manage our system through an iPhone or an iPad, you are missing some kind of mobile application to be able to manage it, such as "Plesk" that allows you to manage everything through it application.

What have you been using it for and what problems did WordPress solve?

Creating backend Intranet sites for the company I work for and creating forms with plugins.

"Great for the Professional Web Developer or Avid Blogger"

// District Staff Development Coordinator at Ramapo Indian Hills High School District

What do you like about WordPress?

Wordpress offers some pretty useful features. The templates that they give offer choices for portfolios, blogs, and websites, and the final products have a very professional feel. I love being to create a blog and have the blog posts easily post to the site or multiple. The analytics on the backend are powerful and give you a lot of information regarding your site, especially where people are accessing from, how often, what pages, etc. Wordpress also allows for embedded video content from Youtube and a few other tools.

What do you dislike about WordPress?

There is definitely a learning curve with Wordpress. There is no drag and drop feature like Wix or Weebly. I also think some features that are included on other website programs or paid features with wordpress. Other than that, this has been my go-to for website design.

What have you been using it for and what problems did WordPress solve?

I use Wordpress as the host for a professional blog I run. I also use it for my school districts technology page. For educators, this is a great place to create and share your site with your district/school and give people access to co-moderate. I have also shared with students and had them use Wordpress to run their own personal blogs throughout the year.

"Great for small websites and blogs"

// Web Developer at Airbus

What do you like about WordPress?

It is a very impressive software to use, out of the box can be installed on almost any server side device and perform really well, with lightning fast results and small resource consumption. The variety of plugins and themes is remarkable, everything you need to know is on the web, fulled with tutorials and how to guides.

What do you dislike about WordPress?

Not having a lot of plugins supported by them you relly on third party extensions and their support. You have to trust those developers that they will follow through on their projects and update them.

"Wordpress is the best for website design today"

// Graphic Designer at Anthony Garcia

What do you like about WordPress?

I started in design before the internet, so after a while, all the work seemed to be web based...so I had to learn HTML. But I am not a coder. Not by a longshot. Then when responsive design came along I was excited, but I wasn't going to learn how to code that! So I made the jump to WordPress 100%, and it has been great ever since. The way the community around WordPress has developed so many tools and support for the platform it has turned into a way to make anything you can imagine without hardly touching any code at all. It's great!

What do you dislike about WordPress?

The worst thing about WordPress is a side effect of the best things about it — there is almost too much stuff. When you need a plugin to add functionality it can get overwhelming trying to pick the best one. There will most likely be dozens to choose from. They do a good job of showing the ratings and support, but it is still a lot like shopping. You have to do your homework, and sometimes you have to test one out and switch because it didn't fit the bill.

What have you been using it for and what problems did WordPress solve?

I use WordPress for all of my website design projects, both in support of my own personal creative endeavors, as well as for clients. I may expand into Wix and Squarespace just because they are simple to use and popular, but my go-to choice is going to remain WordPress for as long as I can see into the future.

"WordPress is not in vain called the most common CMS"

// Technical Support Engineer at Tableau Software

What do you like about WordPress?

WordPress is very simple and has a very clear UI. If you want to create a small website, an online store or just a blog, you should try WordPress. Also, WordPress has a huge community if you need a help.

What do you dislike about WordPress?

As for me. this service is one of the best. I tried a lot of options and still returned to Wordpress. It almost works perfectly, but sometimes there are failures with automatic updates. Be sure to back up your site, and update yourself manually.

What have you been using it for and what problems did WordPress solve?

For a site of services or a blog, it is better not to find. For blogging WordPress is the ideal solution.

"Worlpress is the most common option for a personal blog or a small website"

// Support at Strollers and Stilettos®

What do you like about WordPress?

If you look, it's not a bad site builder. Great customization capabilities. A huge number of plugins at the same time, plus and minus. The free option is very poor. If you decide to stop your choice on Wordpress immediately think about buying the full version.

What do you dislike about WordPress?

Quite expensive built-in themes. It happens that the theme really liked, but its layout is very bad and you have to change the whole theme. The interface is not very friendly, sometimes it takes a long time to look how to change something on the site. A huge number of plug-ins, some of them just duplicate each other's work.

What have you been using it for and what problems did WordPress solve?

We needed WordPress to create a business card site for my company. At that time, WordPress had enough scope for us. Now we have a more advanced site on our hosting.
