Nothing so far. Time will tell if they can stay in the lead as the competition is high.
Image optimisation and fast delivery
Gumlet is a great CDN provider for images. The WordPress plugin is easy to set up and works right out of the box. I deliver my images without using CSS so it generates the images on the fly at the right size needed for the device.
There has been a problem with the Elementor gallery preview images on my website. At present, it is still a problem but they have been honest with what the problem is and have kept me up to date on the time frame to fix it. They also made sure I had an earlier WordPress plugin that didn't have the problem.
I've seen their product grow rapidly over the last 7 months. I was initially concerned about setting up the image compression, but their development made it effortless. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
So far so good. No major concerns. Every now and then, I run into a few misses on the CDN, but this is rare.
Very easy to implement tool that will optimize images and show resized / optimal version on each device and this way improve loading speed and therefore SEO and conversion rates. Smaller images om mobile, WebP where possible and even HiDPI if the device can handle it.
Right now I don't have any points that I dislike! Even the price is very reasonable.
Normally software will show 1 and the same image on each device. Way too large for mobile devices, causing loading speeds to decrease.
Everything, it has a fast CDN that automatically scales images, and it also delivers JS and CSS, it automatically resized images depending on the viewport. Great, made all my sites way faster even compared to my sites that had Shortpixel AI, I am switching all my sites to Gumlet
Nothing, I would love to get agency features but no problems at the moment, they just added Cname so that is covered now
Using it to deliver images, CSS and JS on their CDN to speed up my sites
I've been looking for ways to bump my site speed for the last few years. It's great in my own area where the server is located, but definitely slower in other parts of the world. This is where Gumlet comes in. They have a global content delivery network and this allows them to deliver my images faster.
The more visitors, the more images are delivered. And the more expensive it gets.
I've been using Gumlet on my wordpress site. I had problems with a particular caching plugin where my images where not showing up on my live site. Support helped me track down the problem quickly.
I like how simple is it to be use with all my wordpress site. I just need to install the plugin, and all integration will just happen in few seconds after I click the refresh button.
Custom domain need to be paid as if you're the user, you will just use their subdomain and sometimes it will effect you brand name.
I'm have using for all my wordpress site and it help in optimizaion for my image. As a result, much more loading speed and also increases in revenue.
Gumlet is easy to integrate into any website and really helps speed up page loading times. Their support is fantastic too :)
Hmm, I really can't think of any. Perhaps roll out agency features more quickly?
Image optimization and device specific resizing.
Gumlet is easy to install on a wordpress site, and it requires minimal configuration from the user. Well-written documentation is available on their website, so if any issues came up, just refer to the documentation, it help most of the time. The gumlet dashboard also allows you to enable the CNAME function, as it is very important as some adblocking plugins found in web browsers will block gumlet domains, which in turn making the images unable to load.
You must disable all lazy-loading function found in wordpress, other then gumlet's. The lazy-loading options on gumlet is rather lacking, like how many pixels below the fold to load. Sometimes, the images might take a few seconds to load, not sure if it takes time to resize the image, then pass over to the CDN, before loading on the screen.
I like its simplicity and ease of use. It just took few minutes to get up and running with gumlet.
The idea of sub-domains, though not new, is very useful. You can protect the original source. e.g. for one of my projects, I am using a private s3 bucket as source and gumlet does the rest.
It has become a little too expensive. Charging per site AND data transferred is not a good idea in my opinion. Price increase is understandable but adding site limit is not the way to go.
Easy to set up, super fast speed. My website speed had been bumped. Super impressive. At the same time, the support is fantastic and responsible, highly recommend.
I hope I can use it on my shopify store asap even though it's already on the roadmap.
Gumlet helps to reduce image size and delivers them to a CDN. If you are using a site created using Wordpress, Gumlet's WordPress plugin will make the integration easy.
CNAME is not free in paid plan. I have yet to find a way to use the CDN with a no Wordpress sites.
Awesome Clodfront CDN
Very simple implementation
Lazyload
Serve adaptive image, resize all images in display size this reduce the massive image size.
support is not thag good
Cloudfront CDN no CNAME support
No html caching option, as we see in many cdn service provider.
At the very first after installing plugin my site got broke. Contacted support team (chat), they created a ticket and got revert after 7 days, but till that time I already found the what was the issue. No doubt AWS Cloudfront CDN is awesome at an affordable price, but support is not as good as CDN service 🙁
But it is a overall image optimization solution.
I like it. especially the fact that is a kind of all in one solution. no need toresize images manually.
Possible to connect only gumlet cdn and cloudfront. there is not an easy way to connect others cdn providers.
Price is higher compared to other cdn like bunnycdn. But here you get
an all in one solution to automatically optimize images plus you get 1 GB Bandwidth for free. So if you have a low traffic site you can potentially use the service for free.
- Very easy to use, I was up and running within 5 minutes!
- Lots of functionalities
- Bug free (at least I haven't been impacted so far)
None at the moment, the feature that was missing was cname, and they just add it!
I'm using Gumlet for a few weeks now and I couldn't be more satisfied! Lots of functionalities, easy to set up and
Simple on boarding and intuitive dashboard. Easy to see the benefits of the service. Best part of all is that the service keeps being updated and new valuable features are coming.
Nothing yet, the service was tested in various conditions and worked totally ok.
I mostly liked how easy it is to set up on a new website. While I use it mainly on WordPress websites, I've also tested it on static landing pages (where it can be inserted via a script).
The Gumlet's CDN is very fast and it can be used to serve scaled images, CSS and JS files.
In terms of image compression, Gumlet did not outperform ShortPixel. However, Gumlet's CDN was much faster, which is why I prefer using it.
I've started using it to serve scaled images on my website, through their CDN. I later found out it can be used to serve CSS and JS files too, so need for me to use a different CDN for those.
I have used Gumlet in a couple of sites and everything went smoothly. I tested a couple of services to compare the optimization results and hands down Gumlet did it better.
Little buggy here and there. I have asked their support to solve an issue I got while adding a digital ocean spaces and they promptly replied and mentioned a quick fix.
Great product that delivered what it promised and with speed and ease.
Solved a requirement for an image heavy client site to help reduce client load time by helping with:
• delivery of different image sizes,
• auto webp support
• and CDN delivery
A few caching issues initially, and minimal documentation on how to solve but the problem was solved.
We were looking for solutions to help us with delivery of different image sizes, auto webp support and a CDN to help reduce client load time file management. WE did research before and read about different options including Gumlet but we were skeptical that we would be able to find a suitable solution that did all three. We were wrong, as Gumlet delivered just that... and with minimal setup on our part.
I have tried several image resize systems and Gumlet is one of the easiest to use.
In two clicks the configuration is done. The added value for loading time is incredible
What is shame is the custom URL CNAME Addon it should have been in the basic package
So glad Gumlet delivers Javascript & CSS through CDN also. Complements my Elfsight plugins perfectly.
Longing for video optimization to be added as well. Hopefully soon as it's in their roadmap.
I don't leave reviews quite often but i gumlet is such a great solution. I did researched before and read about competitor but gumlets speed and ease of use stands out.
Support could be a bit more prompt. I would also love to have image compression level options.
Speed is a must need for good seo and user experience for my websites and gumlet really delivers. This is one the best recent investments for website optimization.
Easy to setup, Dint need any code changes. Support was super good and fast. Optimized my site in less than 15 min.
At the very first after installing plugin my site got broke. No doubt AWS Cloudfront CDN is awesome at an affordable price, but support is not as good as CDN service 🙁
manual clear site cache is needed.
I like how easy it is to use for speeding up your site. Speed Optimization is important for SEO, so if you are serious about SEO you need to be serious about your sites speed.
As a rule of thumb I dont like to have plugins installed on my site, mostly because of the security risk.
It helpespeed up my own and clients websites.
I like the simplicity of setting up Gumlet seccessfully at one go for all my 3 websites.
I don't like the fact that Gumlet did not offer custom cname for Cloudfront. There is not details about Gumlet own CDN as well.
Easy to install
Easy to configure
Nice, clean admin dashboard
Great performance and advanced technique
Paying for every CNAME/custom domain for every client, even though its only $5 a month it adds up.
It's super easy to install and use. You basically just create a domain in gumlet and connect the plugin, and afterwards I saw immediate performance improvements when loading my site.
They had a custom cname feature gap, but recently solved this and since this happened I really have no dislikes.
Optimizing image load.
All works out of the box
Excellent support team
WebP conversion
Lazy loading
Fast CDN
At the beginning of appsumo deal Gumlet had an issue with "canonical URL". And it affected on SEO. But right now this problem is solved and this is great!
Gumlet improved my website loading speed.
Lazy loading
Fast CDN
WebP conversion
Easiest way to automatically optimized images.
Overall better then ShortPixel.
Team is constantly improving the service.
So far: friendly, reliable and helpful customer support.
missing possibility to easly add your own CDN of choice you only have 2 options Gumlet cdn ro cloudfront
easly automagically optimize images and serve them via cdn.
Namaste,
Images were making my websites slow, so been searching for Image Compression app.
I used to compress images with TinyJPG, manually convert images from PNG to JPG to reduce the image size, Crop/resize the images according to the theme and what not to improve the website performance.
It was working not bad (as no CDN – extra cost) and Trust me it is tiring as well as time consuming.
Earlier to this plugin/service, I have tried few other Image Optimization services and plugins, but with some images were losing the quality, some are not compressing well or have some limitations.
Then I came to know about Gumlet and thought why not try this. From then I am not looking back, I am using Gumlet on each and every website I make (for Myself and clients).
What I like in this plugin
Auto Lossless compression
Good Support
Lazy Load
fast CDN
WebP conversion
Load the images according to the device
Serve the best image quickly for your customers with Gumlet.
All the best.
Small bugs like the images were not loaded for a few minutes but not sure is ti because of Gumlet or not. This needs debugging.
Auto Lossless compression
Good Support
Lazy Load
fast CDN
WebP conversion
Load the images according to the device
Best image optimisation plugin, I am looking image optimiser for a long time but hard to find attached all solutions, till I get Gumlet which fulfil my main needed, especially with on top global CloudFront CDN service.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: Customer Services
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: Product Development. I am happy their development team continuously improve this plugin.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: User Friendly. This feature is one of my primary and takes an essential part as an owner of a website, I can't, and not want to focus on technical part intently. I install and activate this plugin and all done. :)
in an early stage when I bought, yes.
I found Gumlet get conflicted with my other lazy load plugin. After get support, all solve.
Very good value for money. Gumlet CDN is much cheaper than other premium CDN while providing one of the fastest CDN speed.
Their image compression is superb. The images in my website looks exactly the same without loosing any quality while being less than half of the original file size.
The old website was aging with old layouts and design. The latest update is amazing. The website is much easier to use now.
For my business website. It solved the slow speed of our website.
It is very easy to setup, works out of the box most of the time, the CDN is great and it's paired with amazing image optimization. When there are any issues, the support team is helpful in fixing them.
Sometimes there are some small issues with some particular images or environments and there's some debugging to do to fix them. Granted, support is very helpful in these situations.
I've been using it to optimize images and serve them via CDN on many sites.
Gumlet is easy to implement and the support is responsive. If you want to improve your website loading time, Gumlet is a great option.
Nothing, i cant think of any cons. It is straight forward to use it as a cdn and image delivery service.
I have Gumlet on a couple of websites and I notice significant improvements in the speed.
- Extremely fast loading speed with CDN
- Allow Lazy Load
- Installation is very simple (just install their plugin into the domain cdn set, you already have 1 website with the fastest speed anywhere in the world)
- Extremely cheap price (only $ 5 for 25gb bw / month) I believe with current websites this package is more than enough for everyone). They have Free package with 1gb free, you can use it right now without any charge.
- Allow CDNs for both JS / CSS / Fonts through Cloudfront (this is an extremely good feature because I do not have to spend additional CDN costs for a 3rd service anymore, I can also immediately turn off the free package of Cloudflare (because to me Amazon Cloudfront is much better)
- Multi-platform support (they have their own API to deploy on your source code, I'm also integrating it on my website)
I recently learned that they have implemented a new CNAME feature that can help you create your own CDN sub domain name like cdn.yourdomain.com. This is great for saving and also making your website image more professional, or cooler (wao)
I don't see any restriction right now. They may need to improve the reporting interface.
- Compress images
- CDN
- Resize image
