Because of the integrations with Suppliers and Icecat the majority of products we provide are automatically imported into the system, it saves a lot of time creating products, creating product content and looking up pricing.
Furthermore I especially like the category management and push-api integration we have with our bridge/e-commerce platform (Shopify). Changes we make in PIM are almost effective immediately, causing our e-commerce platform to be very Adaptable :).
For those exceptions, where our products from suppliers are not automatically imported, it is not easy to see why not. Because settings could be missing, mappings not made, etc.
The Icepim advanced user would understand the reasons and know where to find and how to add those products automatically trough the supplier feed by looking at the source feed, enabling settings, creating mappings, etc. But that doesn't count for the beginner users.
They would just "assume" a missing product doesn't exist in supplier feed and create it manually. But that misses the point of all automations. If it would be easier to track manual created products and improve the process of product creation it would be great. I have some Idea's that we could discuss for next releases.
Feeding our Shopify store via our push-api - bridge integration.
This allowed us to start selling online. We use our own categories instead of Icecat categories which makes it recognizable for our sales staff and customers. Making the online experience complete. The push API works very fast and accurate. We sync each 15 minutes making changes we make in PIM visible online very fast.
It alligns well with IT products and Icecat, good basic features and fine user interface
It is not stable enough, to many issues for us. Maintanance is a hassle for some aspects. More a technical tool instead of a business tool
Central place for our product management
The straightforward solution, and many integration options with mainstream platforms such as PrestaShop, Magento Commerce, and Google Manufacturer Center. Plus the combination with distributor price & availability feeds.
The design of the user interface could be prettier. I would like to see more extensive user documentation.
Feeds into Google Manufacturer Center, and PrestaShop, Magento Commerce, and Salsify stores. Combining Icecat plus distributor price feeds.
Thanks for the Feedback, Mr. Hoogeveen. I would like to let you know that we are working on the development of extensive user documentation. This will be added to Icepim very soon.
