I have been using Workiva Wdesk for managing my documents. Workiva has its own version of excel, word and powerpoint which helps to create documents on the go. It also helps you to import and export data from it so that you can use it outside Wdesk. Even though Wdesk presents a replica tool for excel, word and power point, one of the best features of Wdesk is it doesn't require any saving. The documents are auto saved and there is audit trail of each and every change or update that has happened to it.
One of the disadvantages of Workiva is it doesn't let you edit and work on an existing Microsft document. So if you have created a spreadsheet in Microsoft excel and you want to continue with it in Workiva then the same cannot be done. You will have to perhaps create a new spreadsheet in workiva and copy paste the content.
I have been using Workiva to manage by day to day documentation. I also use Workiva to complete my certifications which can be sent to users for review and attestation. It has been a wonderful experience with Workiva with some great features.
