It is highly configurable to meet almost any workflow process. It has easy to use features that allow you to create workflows and portals across all aspects of your organization. It also allows you to configure Excel like spreadsheets and formulas for use in your applications. I am the system administrator for the OEA Grants Portal, which runs SmartSimple software. I have been able to meet many divers requirements from supporting 5 grant programs and managing the application and award process as well as introduce new functionality to help manage Budgeting and Human Resource requirements. It is easy to configure and if I run into an issue their help desk staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Going with SmartSimple is a great choice that I highly recommend.
Since SmartSimple provides a lot of features it is sometimes difficult to know where to go. The portal development is a little counter intuitive.
We use it to manage the Grant Management programs for the Office of Economic Adjustment. We have also built modules that track budget execution, contract management, human resource and task management processes. It is basically the only workflow and information softer application that we need.
