It is capable of applying every modification across all instances of the selected object while eliminating duplication errors and streamlining the overall user experience.

Social learning tools

With social learning, i.e. the Discover, Coach & Share functionality, learners and trainees will have access to information they need by simply asking questions and acquiring answers from internal SMEs and their colleagues. This feature allows you to create and develop a learning culture with social learning, giving you the tools and resources you need to facilitate social learning across all workflows. It lets subject-matter experts, as well as learners, contribute user-generated content and other learning materials.

The Discover, Coach & Share function gives learners and trainees the ability to identify areas of improvement pertaining to their skills and discover recommended and related content that will support their growth and development, all while receiving an effective, targeted learning experience. Learners may even create their own playlists for the specific content they wish to revisit in the future.

Gamification mechanics

With Docebo, you have the power to increase engagement, course completion, and scores by simply applying gamification mechanics to various learning activities. You can leverage different strategies, including contests, leaderboards, badges, point systems, and awards to help increase the retention of your learning materials. You may also use incentives to keep learners engaged. For example, you can give them the option to exchange points for different rewards in the marketplace. You can have different awards and leaderboards for each branch of learning, all within the platform.

Content marketplace

The content marketplace feature empowers learners and trainees with off-the-shelf course content and other learning materials. It gives them the option to access the marketplace and peruse a wide variety of content, and if they want to they can purchase professional and business course materials from different content providers. They can also access and purchase thousands of eLearning courses from the Docebo Content library and its partners, such as OpenSesame, Skilla, and LinkedIn Learning.

The content marketplace allows learners and trainees to choose which content course they wish to study or you can assign them to specific programs based on their areas of improvement.

Mobile app support

With Docebo’s mobile app support, you can provide your learners with the ability to access as well as create different learning content anywhere at any time using their mobile device. They can take training courses, work on assignments, and complete tasks while offline and you can just track and sync their progress later once they go online. You can leverage social learning capabilities to effectively distribute content from any location and get valuable feedback from experts and your peers.

Additionally, you also have the option to put your own branding on the app, such as your company logos and colors and then publish it on the Google Play Store, the App Store, or Docebo’s very own Apple Enterprise store.

"Docebo is a great little LMS at a great price"

What do you like about Docebo?

I love that Docebo is extremely easy to use, but also extremely customizable. It's pretty much turn-key, which is great for small L&D teams to use, but also can be scaled up to be completely customized to your unique tastes/needs. The Google SSO option is perfect for making user sign-in easy. The API is fairly robust, which allows for more customization and flexibility. Reporting is pretty robust, and the google analytics add-on makes it even better. The gamification and social learning modules are fantastic and really engage learners. It even has a rewards shop option where you can give prizes away to learners.

What do you dislike about Docebo?

Their support is fairly good, but often a little slow. Their customer feedback and suggestions do get acted upon, but they don't have a public roadmap/trello board to show exactly what's coming up and being worked on. But they do release fairly frequent updates. They did take some community feedback to heart after a recent feature release, which was great to see.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Docebo solve?

We have been using Docebo as our LMS and to help engage our learners. It has helped to solve the problem of low learner engagement. By allowing us to completely customize the dashboard for various learner groups, we've been able to make the content presented to them more and more relevant, which has helped improve the amount of learning being taken. The gamification and reward system has allowed us to tap into what is important and relevant to our learners by offering prizes and the ability to "donate" their earned Docebo coins to give actual real-world donations to charity.
