"Failed SaaS Company Turned Outbound Agency"

What do you like about Cliently?

Great sales pitch, great website and great salesman. This company does not sell a software, its an outbound lead company.

What do you dislike about Cliently?

Cliently is a failed SaaS platform that has converted itself into an Outbound Lead Generation Agency. We have used previous outbound agencies in the past, but we were interested in Cliently due to the ''gifting'' feature they include to drive booked meetings; it was an exciting idea different from other agencies.

Spencer is the owner, and it seems to be a startup, and most of his employees are offshore in India.

Here is what Cliently's pricing page on their website promises:

• 10-12 Qualified Prospects / Monthy - We didn't receive anywhere close to this #.

• Custom Campaign Copy - This is a complete lie; they do not create a custom copy. The campaign copy is focused on promoting the gift to the prospect. There is no education in the copy about our company, USP, case studies, how we can help, etc. Their campaign copy is a ''rinse and repeats'' model with no personalization or authenticity.

• Zero onboarding process established after signing. We didn't even get to review and provide feedback on the campaign copy, which was a first and made me suspicious. Spencer, the owner, kept telling me to ''trust him'' about the copy, so I let him drive the process. After about seven weeks of services and getting meetings booked with non-qualified prospects and companies that weren't even in our target market, I requested to review the email copy to understand what they were sending. Spencer told us that the copy is ''Proprietary'' and that he could only share it via share screen. Reviewing the sequences was embarrassing, and I was furious that my company was being represented this way. The emails were a joke, subjects like '' premium chocolates are coming your way'' to a cold prospect and we're an eCommerce agency.
