Our delivery business runs on another (NON BLAZE) POS. I am unhappy with the OTHER ONE.
I contacted Blaze after I heard positive feedback about Blaze integration ability.
We hired engineers to build us and Admin center for our eCommerce + SMM. They checked our current POS (not Blaze) and said their integration API is miserable. We were willing to migrate to another POS and considered Blaze. Our engineers said Blaze had the integration capabilities. We were willing to test drive Blaze POS for several months, to compare it to the OTHER POS (that we are running on right now). To make the job easier, we were willing to create a new delivery entity with a separate inventory (a separate room), and run Blaze on this inventory. No data migration from one system to another.
We were looking for a POS and an ecom module.
I told Blaze that if they are confident their software is SUPERIOR to the OTHER POS, then no doubt that we will fully transition after the test period. During the test period we pay monthly fees but have no obligation to continue if the POS is unsatisfactory. Blaze did not take the challenge.
Basically, the company is not certain they are competitive enough for potential customers to switch to them. They proposed us to buy an annual contact without a trial.
They said setup and training of people needed for the trial is the same as required for the regular accounts with annual contracts. So their policy is -- no trial.
Bu this, they indirectly indicated that in side-by-side comparison they might not excel enough to prompt switching from the OTHER POS to Blaze. They were concerned that their time and labor investment into the trial would not result in a long term contract.
Make your own conclusions.
I really like that their customer support is so responsive. Any time you have a problem Blaze support typically responds within minutes. They also have great partner integrations that work well with other cannabis software that we use for e-commerce, marketing, analytics, and loyalty. Their POS system is reliable too. During 4/20 the system performed flawlessly while others had outages. So happy I chose Blaze!
The only thing I'd really say I dislike about Blaze is that they don't have an offline mode yet. I've been told it's coming though. This is really only a factor though if your internet goes down.
I've used Blaze for our cannabis dispensary point-of-sale system but it does way more than just process transactions. They have really good inventory management, automated state reporting, and they recently upgraded their discounts engine to include BOGO deals, delivery fee discounts, and cart discounts. It's solved a laundry list of issues that we were facing before. Now we have complete visibility into our store and a ton of reports to help us make the right decisions.
Thanks for the kind words Stephen! We're glad you like our software. We'll continue to update the software to make sure your needs are a priority.
