The layout and overall design is engaging. Apppointly lets you set the hours you work and allow users to book you for times.It is a simple program to use. You can also set it to block weekday schedules/weekend schedule etc, and do it once and forget it. These are great features. There are some options for customization. It also syncs with iCal/Google Calendar.
The customization is limited. They make you upgrade for that. I guess you get what you paid for, but some simple features like custom times aren't available. Working in education, nothing fits a solid half hour or hour block of time. I need a customized schedule to be able to meet hall time and class periods that are 42 minutes long. There are work arounds, but for a simple program, this shouldn't be needed. This was a deal breaker for me.
I use Appointly to let teachers and staff book me for appointments throughout the school year. It worked, but I had issues with custom time frame.
I've been using it for a few weeks to let customers pick times for feedback calls. I have had a lot of lot of success in terms of setting up on my end and in customers responding positively and booking appointments.
It's easy to put the bookings into your calendar, and to do things like spacing in breaks.
My only small frustration is that it's little unclear where the options for providing extra info appear at the recipients end up.
