I find this tool exceptionally efficient and user-friendly. I own a small company and I've been almost paper-free for nearly a year. DottedSign is one of the digital solutions I use every day, and it has proved to be the easiest and most convenient way to get documents signed if you have a smartphone in your hand. The platform allows to track the signing progress which helps me a lot because I have to manage multiple customers. When I send the signing tasks, the app takes care of the reminders so I don't have to worry about missed deadlines. A must-have tool for small business owners.
It would be nice if the free trial period would be twice as long. Currently the app supports pdf. format only therefore there might be some room for improvement, but overall the platform does what it has to do just perfectly.
I've been using the app for signing the contracts digitally and I do love this technology. It has helped me to stay in business during the lockdown and keep all my customers.
My main criteria for choosing any app/software is - how good is the UI/UX, how much usability/functionality does it have and do I actually enjoy using it. DottedSign checks off all three. The UI is nice and simple, it's a highly functional app that I'm getting plenty of use out of and I do enjoy the overall look/feel of the app and find it quite easy to use.
I think it'd be great if there were notifications/reminders sent directly to your phone by the app, not through email. I think that's the biggest issue for me at the moment.
I've started using their PDF templates recently as well - find them highly useful, hope there are mode added soon. With DottedSign it's quite easy to get a document signed, monitor the entire process and stay on top of all the changes. It's also great that all the documents signed with this app are legally enforceable and highly secure. There aren't too many functions, but it's a solid app overall.
I think the reason I like DottedSign, besides the fact that it's quite easy to use, is that it streamlines the signing process to the degree where you barely have to do anything besides uploading your documents, placing your signature and sharing it with other parties. It's am simple as you'd like it to be.
I've had issues with loading large documents - it's a bit slow, both the app version and the browser version as well. Hope it's fixed sooner than later.
Mostly I've used DottedSign for signing small contracts with 2-3 people, generally not more than that. It definitely makes certain aspects of the process faster for me and my colleagues, and while that's true about most of e-signature apps, DottedSign feels like a very convenient tool to have at your disposal.
This platform enables users to perform many operations in terms of working with PDFs, adding online signatures and communicating with other parties. I think most tools of this platform are well-designed and help save time on tasks that usually take way longer. For instance, you're able to track the signing process, send a reminder to a party that hasn't signed the document yet - so overall you stay aware of what's going on, which is great in a lot of cases.
I can't say that there are issues that make the entire functionality of the platform worse, I can only think of a few additions that could make the platform better. There isn't an ability to load Word format files (docx), only PDFs can be uploaded and used. I think it would be great if users didn't have to spend time converting files if they prefer using something other than PDFs. Besides, the website could be updated by adding a little more thorough of a tutorial. Then, the users who tend to have troubles with adjusting to unfamiliar tools to be able to get accustomed to DottedSign faster.
I think the best thing about DottedSign is just how quickly I'm able to get work done now - upload documents, add signatures, send them out to be signed, make sure everything is actually signed on time. That's about all I do, but I'm happy about the speed of things, reminders, and that everything is legally enforceable. Just takes quite a bit of work off your shoulders, in general.
What I found great about this particular e-signature app was how quickly it was for me to begin using it. This wasn't the case with the previous apps/software that I used. With DottedSign, I was able to download it, register and basically start working right away. It's not over-stuffed with features that you'll barely use anyway, it has exactly what you need, in my opinion, and nothing more.
The one issue I've experienced concerned loading a file to the Android app and wanting to edit it a little before inviting people to sign it. The file disappeared before I could save it and I had to load it again. Although, I've noticed that this problem hasn't been occurring for some time after the last update so I think it has been solved by developers.
I've been using this app because it saves me a lot of time, it's easy to use, there's no need to see anyone in person to get anything signed, no need to fax or scan the documents either. I just load a file into the app and edit it there, work with documents in there as well, set reminders and track the whole process. So, it doesn't just save time, but also paper. It's also great to have everything digitized and stored in the cloud. Highly recommend.
It's great little app that that saves me quite a bit of time. I use it on my phone to basically take care of all my signing needs such as adding my signature to contracts/agreements, sending out the document to be signed by other parties, setting reminders available, with DottedSign, which makes things even easier/better. So, this app has high functionality, easy to set up and to use and you can get a lot done with just your phone.
Uploading particularly large documents to the app with lots of pages can take quite a while or basically freeze the app. I use the Kdan Cloud to store all my documents that I generate with DottedSign for easy sharing and so on, and it also takes a while to both download and upload them to/from the cloud. That's the one thing I hope is improved - the overall speed of the app.
As I've mentioned before, this app/software saves me plenty of time. If before I had to manually scan the documents to be sent out for signing via email, it's a thing of the past now. With this app, the entire process is streamlined and under my control - from the very beginning. I don't have to worry about not signing on time, or missing something since all the made changes are recorded, So overall, DottedSign saves time and speeds up my working process by quite a bit.
DottedSign lets you sign PDFs really quickly, whether on your phone or through the browser version. There are plenty of tools such as notifications (other parties also get them) and I like that users can track the signing process and set automatic reminders for themselves and the other assignees. The app sends notifications via email - fairly convinient.
The main disadvantage of the software, in my opinion, is that it doesn't support anything other than PDFs. I think it would be great if I didn't have to convert some files to PDF first and could just use the original. But in general, I still think that the app/software is really useful and streamlines the working process quite a bit.
This e-signature platform is a real time-saver - I no longer have to keep the details of the signing process in mind since I can track the everything with the help of the app/software. Also, it makes all the necessary notifications to my colleagues - so there are no missed deadlines or documents not getting signed.
