"An ideal software to create projects in an organized way from your private or public repositories."

What do you like about Bitbucket?

As a software developer, I find it very useful to have this software called Bitbucket. I mainly like the one that allows you to create branches that separate the main code from the code that is being worked on, since in this way it is possible that all the branches created can advance at the same time or in the event of a change or error, to be able to return to the main code without having to start from scratch. Once created the same power to plan the project, create it, test it and implement it, so it is possible to maintain an organization in the development of each project. In addition, it is not only ideal for version control but also facilitates code management and even being able to obtain a code review before implementing it so that you are sure of its operation, this helps me save time and to be able to generate a functional code avoiding delays in the projects that are being worked on.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

I have noticed that it provides an easy to use interface, since it is enough to look at its sidebar to access its functions, so any beginner user may be able to understand the software, however it would be more pleasant if its interface could be configured in a more customizable way to obtain a workspace that is more comfortable for all team members, on the other hand the code review process can sometimes be slow, and I would like that during this process you could have a view in time real of it.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Bitbucket solve?

For a developer it is vital to have an adequate code repository system and with Bitbucket it has been possible to meet this requirement, since one of the main benefits that I have been able to obtain is the ability to collaborate with other team members and efficiency, with which this process can be carried out, that is, from a single place it allows us to plan the projects, create the code, review it, comment on it and even be able to test and implement it, so once the review stage has been passed and error correction you can be sure that the tests will be favorable and that its deployment will be satisfactory, since an organized process was carried out for its creation, this is how we can not only control the workflow but also generate clean projects .

What do you like about Bitbucket?

Bitbucket is an ideal place to carry out project planning, test, implement and collaborate on the code, its interface is very simple which is pleasant when it comes to working with it, since it makes it possible to work on the code review Without any stress, it includes private and even public repositories and if you are a student, getting them free is to be lucky, it also integrates perfectly with the error correction tool called Jira, so working with both is so advantageous whether it is applied for the development of personal or business projects.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

Your configuration to grant permissions can be somewhat confusing and this leads to taking more time than expected to perform this action, but it is a matter of adapting to your system, although it is complex, it is best to go to your support team.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Bitbucket solve?

Using Bitbucket from the hand of Jira makes it very simple to carry out code confirmation and error correction at the same time, but also project management, since it makes collaboration possible, thus leading to a faster workflow and fluent.

What I like most is its ability to connect with other tools such as Jira, which facilitates that not only the code is carried out but also displays if it presents errors or not to be able to deliver a job without any inconvenience In addition, it is highly flexible since it is we who choose who we wish to have working on said project through an invitation and the best thing is that everything for an affordable cost and ease of use that allows any user to adapt to its user interface. quick way .

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

Its integration is a great advantage however it is a software that could even include more functions that facilitate coding, as well as a much more modern interface.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Bitbucket solve?

Using Bitbucket is a great advantage because with it I can work with colleagues as well as have repositories and at the same time correct any errors in these projects and even exchange ideas and everything from one place.

"Great software for professionals who are responsible for developing applications"

What do you like about Bitbucket?

Its ability to integrate with other Atlassian tools is extremely impressive, since it makes working with it much more fluid and fun, allows ideas to be exchanged among code developers, implementations and code tests can be made and verifiable if there is some error in them to solve them and give the best possible result and there is no doubt that part of this is thanks to its interface that is very easy to handle which makes the work much more fruitful and the best is that until It offers the power to create free repositories if it is a small team, but if not, their prices are very accessible

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

Its interface is very simple but not very attractive, however, I think the important thing is that it is easy to adapt to it to have a good use of the software, it would also be ideal that its level of integration continues to extend.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Bitbucket solve?

Coding facilitates us since the one included in the project management tools accelerates the development process and allows us to obtain extremely positive results because it is much simpler to correct errors and move forward in those projects with the help of others.

" An ideal platform to do more than code"

// Software Developer at iModules

What do you like about Bitbucket?

Great platform in which more than trying, implementing and coding can also plan any project because it allows you to work in collaboration, its interface is very simple and easy to use just add the mail of the person you want to participate in our project and immediately send an email to it, its configuration is very simple and the best thing is that for small teams the repositories are free and without any limits and it is highly customizable with other tools of our use.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

When working in collaboration there is a limit with the number of users participating in each project so if you want to collaborate more than that amount will not be able to, so it is ideal for small projects.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Bitbucket solve?

The fact that you can work in collaboration allows the development of projects based on the creation of software are much simpler since we can directly discuss each error as well as correct it immediately which is a great benefit because you get quality software and a high business productivity.

"A fantastic management tool"

// Lead Developer at vrTech Trade

What do you like about Bitbucket?

I really like Bitbucket. It allows to import project from other sources: Git, Mercurial, Subversion, SourceForge and CodePlex, for me it is just enough. In my experience, Bitbucket has shown as very stable. In more than few years of regular usage, with more than thousands people contributing on an immense code base, I have only experienced one unscheduled outage as a user, lasting less than 1 hour. Bitbucket integrates well with JIRA (from Atlassian too). It is possible to create a new branch directly from a JIRA issue. This allows the people who subsequently access the JIRA issue to find the code. It also integrates with HipChat. Pull requests can trigger notifications in HipChat rooms.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

Web UI could be improved, some tasks like see all branches or search on code could be a huge pain. It would be nice to have functionality that looks for certain files changed or folders in pull requests to add reviewers. At rest, it has been really easy to work with it.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Bitbucket solve?

Bitbucket gives us a front-end that helps a lot the collaboration between developers on a common code base.

"Excellent Version Control System for Business"

// Network & Server Engineer at Rubico IT Pvt Ltd

What do you like about Bitbucket?

Not only is this solution to version control cheap, but it is excellent. This system can be based off of git or mercurial which is a huge plus to developers who are used to either of those systems. The price is either cheap or free depending on how you use the system which is a huge selling point for businesses like ours. It also has features such as an API that you can integrate into your projects.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

The only dislike is that the GUI client that is available for download is a bit confusing. If you aren't familiar with git based systems and using CLI then this can be quite confusing.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Bitbucket solve?

We are using Bitbucket as a means of version control. We have realized that Bitbucket has much better features compared to other free systems such as Subversion.

"The most stable solution"

// System Integrator / DevOps at vrTech Trade

What do you like about Bitbucket?

All you need from the version control system and build. I love omnibar in Bitbucket, it's a quick accessline to actions. What's strange is that many users do not even know about it. I also like a lot of hotkeys, you should spend time and learn them. In addition, I often use snippets in Bitbucket to share code, but with their help, you can share other types of files. There is a free fare with private repositories. In terms of functionality, it is ahead of its competitors. Over the long years of use, the service has never fallen; it is really the most stable among competitors.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

During the evolution of UX, some unpopular actions, designed for experienced users, were hidden in drop-down lists or behind hotkeys.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Bitbucket solve?

We've improved our performance by tying branches, commits and pool-requests to Jira's tasks. Even at a free version, there are private repositories. There are some freezes, but Bitbucket is the most stable service that I have ever used.

"Bitbucket is amazing"

// Sales Marketing Manager at Red Bull Distribution Company

What do you like about Bitbucket?

Easy integration with Source Tree. Easy to understand interface. Provide clean UI for Git source control. Allow for public and private repositories. Pull requests and code reviews are easy to do with Bitbucket. It is very easy to use to review changes in a code. It's been working out great.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

Less integration with software outside of Atlassian suite. Missing two factor authentication. Sometime the search functionality has failed me. But it is a small part of the time I really do not have a con about this product. I heavily use it every day.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Bitbucket solve?

Bitbucket is currently being used as our primary source control tool across development and data teams. We host all of our code, data operations scripts, SSIS projects, etc., in Bitbucket repositories. Make my life easy as the DevOps Managers.
