FORT is an agile SaaS shipping & fulfillment platform that connects suppliers and buyers for B2B and D2C orders.
FORT is a shipping & fulfillment platform, powering 3PL companies as well as producers and manufacturers that ship their own packages. We began with a focus on the alcoholic beverage industry, and developed several features that help manage shipping, reporting, inventory management, and other critical aspects of highly regulated industries. FORT Systems was established in 1999, and now powers wine fulfillment warehouses around the country, helping to manage all aspects of fulfillment and supply chain functionality, including tax paid vs in-bond, compliance and reporting, 3 tier clearing vs direct, batch-lot-serial number functionality, etc.
In addition to our core fulfillment platform, we have added a streamlined app called FORT Ship, which is designed specifically for producers and manufacturers who ship their own products out to customers, both D2C and B2B.
The platform offers unparalleled levels of shipping and fulfillment functionality for regulated products.
FORT currently scores 73/100 in the Supply Chain Management category. This is based on user satisfaction (100/100), press buzz (33/100), recent user trends (falling), and other relevant information on FORT gathered from around the web.

3PLs and warehouse fulfillment companies
We reviewed about six 3PL platforms and FORT and one other came out on top in terms of functionality. FORT was about 3 times less expensive than the other 'ERP Solution,' so the recommendation to our client was easy. FORT made it easy to manage all order types from a single UI: D2C, B2B, transfers, receiving, etc. They also added some custom solutions for our client based on their specific industry, which was hugely helpful. Their team is hard-working and incredibly dedicated.
There's a lot of functionality in the system, and it can sometimes take a while to figure out exactly where you need to go. A few more wizard-driven setup guides might help with that, but it's basically a minor issue. They are always available to help with any process.
My client was expanding from a small operation to a 3PL, and they needed a system to be able to manage shipments for other companies, manage billing and rate schedules, returns, various brand-specific client messaging rules, dropshipping, and a lot more that other systems had trouble providing. FORT enabled everything they needed, and I'd recommend the platform to anyone.
