"Kantata: The Versatile Resource Management Solution We've Been Waiting For"


What do you like about Kantata?

I really appreciate the extensive customization options that Kantata offers. Being able to tailor the features to match our specific needs has been a game-changer. The Time tracking tool is a standout feature; it's user-friendly and much preferred over what I've used in the past. The ability to create custom reports, especially the weekly project reports, has elevated our client communication and transparency. It's helped us avoid surprises when sending out invoices. The Resource Allocation and Gantt chart functionalities have been instrumental in enhancing our project planning and management processes.

What do you dislike about Kantata?

There are a few areas where I find Kantata falls short. One major concern is the difficulty in quickly identifying the responsible person for a task, especially when multiple people are assigned. It becomes challenging to get a high-level overview of task ownership. Additionally, I've found it inconvenient that once a comment is posted, there's no way to edit it. The status options for different tasks could use more flexibility; the current options are a bit limiting and don't always align with our workflows.

I've been using Kantata primarily for project management, team collaboration, time tracking, and invoicing. It has greatly streamlined our project finances by allowing us to manage all financial aspects in one place. It assigns tasks to related team workers. It grants you user friendly and hands down interface to use. It is integrated with many project management platforms such as Jira etc. You can see how much amount you have spent on specific projects. It helps us in planning more cleverly if you have limited time. It provides us best project management with its budget tracking, time consuming for each project, assigning activities to each team member, their performance and many more. It has track of each project individually. It provides you best customer support. Whenever you have any issue, they respond it quickly and get it solved. Their support is always available. It supports team work efficiently. It improves its integration with others.

Photos cannot be added in comments. It is very Time consuming for some activities. You cannot search everything easily its quite confusing. The interface needs modification and little bit better performance as it wastes time for some small processes.

What do you like about Kantata?

Mavenlink is a great tool managing a project's entire lifecycle including pipeline, capacity, margins, etc. Whenever I have any questions their support staff is always quick to respond! I've seen their new availability match for team builder and love the ability to drill-into people availability so I can better staff my projects based on project specific needs.

What do you dislike about Kantata?

Reporting is great for general needs, would like to see better custom reporting.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Kantata solve?

This is used as our project management software for all of our services teams. Mavenlink help us setup data flows between our CRM so project creation is automated along with revenue recognition.

"Burn Rate in Real Time"


What do you like about Kantata?

My favorite thing about Mavenlink is that I can see burn rates for projects in real-time. This is such a time saver for me. At any point in time, I can pull up a list of all of our projects and get a view of the burn rate. The best thing about it is that it's a clean visual - when your budget is good, the color is green - when your budget is not good, the color is red.

What do you dislike about Kantata?

Mavenlink doesn't have a great mobile experience for users. Therefore, it makes things a bit difficult when working remotely or when you need to access something via mobile while you're away from your computer.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Kantata solve?

We use Mavenlink for time-tracking, project budgets, task management, etc. The main problem that Mavenlink helped us solve was being able to see burn rates in real-time. We were using separate systems for time-tracking and for project budgets so we would spend hours reconciling budgets for all of our projects. Now, we can do it in minutes.

Mavenlink is a functional performer that oversees project and task management and tracking. It's a one-stop shop for managing all mobile ad projects, thanks to its all-in platform capabilities. Along with Google Drive, Mavenlink features direct email integration. Timekeeping and logging are both integrated.

What do you dislike about Kantata?

The user experience is uninspiring and uninteresting. The navigation is quite complicated, and it takes some time to get used to. There is no free version to try the service, so you must get a demo or review other sources to know if this is the right one for your team.

What do you like about Kantata?

Mavenlink has a ton of functionality and flexibility. You can build out many custom fields to help you track exactly what you need. The time tracking and timesheets work well and allow for detailed tracking of both unbillable and billable time.

What do you dislike about Kantata?

Because Mavenlink is such a large piece of software, there is a learning curve! This isn't something I dislike exactly, just something to be aware of. Thankfully, Mavenlink offers a lot of training, knowledgebase articles, and paid training. One issue that we have run into is how well Mavenlink syncs with third-party apps.

"The best part is the analytics."


What do you like about Kantata?

Mavenlink provides good time tracking and project management capabilities, plus great insights into the data. It comes with a select of pre-built reports that are pretty useful out of the box, but the analytics tool is flexible enough to do almost anything you need it to do. That has been a huge benefit to our business, and has influenced how we run it.

What do you dislike about Kantata?

It does most of what we need, but not quite everything... and not always exactly how we want to do it. I suppose that is the nature of SaaS software. In a few ways we have had to adapt our business processes to how the software works, instead of adapting the software to how we are already operating.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Kantata solve?

We consolidated our time tracking and project management into one place—we used to have that spread out across a variety of tools, and now with Mavenlink it's all together.

"Great tool to manage projects for any company"


What do you like about Kantata?

Mavenlink is a very powerful tool to manage projects and there are multiple reasons we went for it after throughly analyzing other tools. We have over 850 employees spread out in 15 offices across the globe and Mavenlink is very easy to use thanks to its intuitive interface and all the help tutorials, videos, FAQs, and great live support. Overall, we've been using it for 5 years.

The other positive thing is Mavenlink has many integrations with 3rd party tools like JIRA, Salesforce, and many others. It's a huge plus there's also Mavenlink API for everything else that isn't yet officially supported.

The platform has project templates, Gantt chart, time tracking tools, expense reports, timesheets, invoicing, file storage, collaboration feed, resource planner and all kinds of reports. It is accompanied by very flexible permission management and different rate cards depending on a region. What is also nice, you can invite client users to projects for free.

The notification management is pretty flexible and is done via emails that you can configure in many ways to not get overwhelmed with all the updates (a big plus).

Last but not least, there is a web-optimized mobile app and a browser plug-in to do time tracking and project updates on the go.

What do you dislike about Kantata?

With all the benefits, there are a few minor inconveniences. For example, you cannot select multiple tasks/milestones/deliverables in a project and do a mass-update (i.e. change status or assignees) - you have to go one by one (as of 2020 there was an updated task tracker in beta which should address this). File manager portion could also be expanded and use some permission management, folders, upload requests or sharing links. It doesn't look like Mavenlink supports multiple languages (at least we use English UI across the company and the help portal didn't suggest any language settings per user). Other than that there isn't much to wish for.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Kantata solve?

We do marketing SaaS implementations for some of the biggest companies out there and Mavenlink is our project management tool. It helps us keep projects on track and within the set budgets, improves collaboration with customers, and makes the whole project management easier and more efficient.

"Robust Project Management - Buy-In is Vital"


What do you like about Kantata?

Mavenlink does what it's intended to do very well. It is well thought out and designed by folks who understand how my consulting firm works. It's a lot of institutional change, however, to fully implement Mavenlink into your company. Make sure you have full buy-in from ALL of leadership before making the dive. If you do, you surely won't regret it.

What do you dislike about Kantata?

There's a lot of parts that we would have rather held off on implementing but it wasn't really possible. Would have been nice to not use a few features at the beginning and implement down the line.

What do you like about Kantata?

I have been using Mavenlink for more than a year now. It's a great tool for overall tracking of the project. Its easy to use and robust. It helps to make day to day activities easier and fun to work with. Now I can concentrate more on my work. The interface is user friendly and easy to use. One can find all useful tabs at one place. Best part of Mavenlink is the helpful insights and notifications on the go. Apart from this time tracking, timesheet management and resource management is effortless. Its a must have tool for a working professional.

Nothing specific but Mavenlink's mobile application can be more interactive and generating customise report can be improve.
