New features in MobileTech 2013 R3.1

Field invoicing and field payments
You can generate a field invoice and then collect payment for the invoice for a service call appointment that is created within Service Management or for a new service call appointment that you create on your mobile device. A registration key is required to use field invoicing and payments.

Barcoding
You can scan barcodes to navigate or search for equipment or sublocation.

Visual equipment inspection
When you inspect equipment, you can now capture images, and then view, mark up, and save the images from your mobile device. You can also retrieve existing images and attachments to view and modify from your device. A registration key is required to use visual equipment inspection.

Email enhancements for the Call Summary report and the Field Invoice report

Equipment field is added to the Inventory form
When you enter an inventory transaction, you can select a piece of equipment that has been assigned to a service call appointment from the Equipment lookup in the Inventory form.

Sort inventory by description
When you open the Site Inventory lookup in the Inventory form, you can choose to display the inventory items in the lookup by number or by description.

Delete an inventory item from a service call before it has been synchronized
You can delete an inventory item that has been entered for a service call after it has been saved, but before it is synchronized.

Add or modify a customer purchase order number for a service call
After a service call has been created and synchronized, a technician can modify the customer PO number or can add a customer PO number to the service call, if needed.

Display the Tasks tab with the Appointment Completion tab
The ShowTasksForAppointments option has been added to MobileTech 2013 Administration. If set to True, a tab that displays tasks associated with an appointment is added to the Appointment Completion form when a service call appointment is completed.

Time in to more than one appointment
The TimeLogAllowTimeOverlap option has been added to MobileTech 2013 Administration. If set to True, a technician can time in to multiple appointments at the same time.

Enhancements to the Additional Work list
Information on the Additional Work list now displays the Service Call ID, transaction date, and the description for the additional work. You can also use the Search functionality for the Additional Work list.

Manage the types of attachments that can be synchronized to mobile devices
The Attachment Extensions Setup form has been added to MobileTech Administration 2013. You can specify the types of file extensions for attachments that can be sent to mobile devices from Microsoft Dynamics GP and WennSoft Service Management.

Issues fixed in MobileTech 2013 R3.1

You cannot save a non-inventory purchase order line with a space as a character

Resolution notes are not duplicated

Resolution notes on the Call Summary Report are determined by the Internal Note value

Job safety tasks are synchronized when a service call is reassigned

Vendors are synched to mobile devices based on global filtering

The Map tab no longer is displayed for technician activities

Run Report for All option for the Timesheet Entries list is removed if helper technicians and work crews are not used

In MobileTech Admin, control whether event-based syncing is used An option was added to MobileTech Administration to control whether event-based syncing is used on devices. AutoStatusUpdate doesn’t update the appointment status until the assigned technician syncs If the AutoStatusUpdate setting is set to a status in the setup options, the appointment status isn’t updated until the assigned technician syncs. Task list focus remains in place after you complete and save a task Previously, if you completed and saved a task and then returned to the task list, the focus moved to the top of the task list. Now, the focus remains where you left off in the task list. Resolution note text is displayed with the appointment history when UseAppointmentResolutionNote = True If UseAppointmentResolutionNote = True in the setup options, resolution note text wasn’t displayed with the appointment history. The resolution note text now is displayed when you request history from the service call or equipment records.
