"None of my campaigns worked"


What do you like about Orca?

In theory, Orca is great. In practice, it's a disaster. My Linkedin campaigns would never progress to connection requests. The customer service reps couldn't figure out how to fix this, and they were almost alway slow to respond. I came up with a workaround (uploading CSV files), but that didn't work either.

Then Orca notifies me they will be introducing additional functionality to the service - which sounds like it's free. A few days later a button appears to the effect of "Want data enrichment?". Sounds harmless enough, but apparently, in tiny light grey print that fades into the background there was something about it being a paid service. The next thing I know there are $800 in additional charges.

No rational check out process, no receipt. Surprise!

After having wasted so much time trying to make Orca work, the firm takes me to the cleaners.

I have no sympathy for the CEO's explanation that we're a small firm with some user interface issues. I run a small firm and always strive to treat my clients fairly. I don't need the bad karma.

Orca is unethical and the way they saddled me with $800 in charges over 10 days smacks of fraud.

What do you dislike about Orca?

What do you like about Orca?

Software works as they endorse on their website. Campaigns are easy to set up and operate

What do you dislike about Orca?

Customer support is the worst I've come across, ever!
Billing is very skewed and almost unethical.
Terrible UX - they mentioned a key billing aspect, in 1 place across their entire website - in the smallest font on that pop-up.
Would never recommend this to anyone.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Orca solve?

I was trying to solve the issue of finding and connecting with people on Linkedin. Turns out that Orca solves that by giving you a bigger problem - taking your money unethically. They're billing system is very skewed and customer support is worse. I was stuck on the customer chat and email, without a reply for 4 hours till now (as I write this review). The worse part is that the customer rep is seeing my messages (Message has been updated to seen) and is choosing not to reply to my messages. They have a team of 14 people apparently and not 1 of them has the decency to reply back to the email, even if to say that my message was received.
Speaking of emails, their amazingly designed system does not send you a single email while they are busy reducing your bank balance. They emptied our bank account - EMPTIED - all with irrelevant and unethical charges, and the notification we got was from our banks, telling us that our account was empty!
