Lambdatest is an excellently stable platform with intuitive UI with minimal learning curve. All we had to do was select a browser and its versions and screen size to render the website and see where we were facing problems. We also used their documentation for support and integrated tool of firebug which helped us debug during live testing and notified us of any issues in our website. With their help, we were also able to identify UI misalignment specific to browsers or functionality failure due to incompatibility with a particular browser. In all, lambdatest is a great platform for live browser compatibilty testing and the support team is quite helpful.

What have you been using it for and what problems did LambdaTest solve?

While we develop our web applications, our top concern was to verify the unintentional changes to the application's visuals. We need to make sure that changing one component doesn't break the styling of another component. LambdaTest's Smart testing helped us to identify visual regression bugs for every new build. We could capture our website screenshots belonging to different environments i.e stage and production & upload them on the LambdaTest Visual Testing platform. We were able to discover visual deviations with pixel to pixel comparison by capturing screenshots, comparing them against the baseline image, and highlighting visual changes. The slider mode is very helpful to compare the visual discrepancies between the two images by toggling them. Overall, Smart testing helped us perform reliable visual testing at scale and eliminated the risk of delivering visual bugs.

LambdaTest has optimized our Selenium Testing experience to deliver a seamless user experience across every browser and device. With its cloud Selenium Grid, we were able to run our test cases concurrently across thousands of desktop and mobile browsers. It helped us to reduce our test suite's build execution time by over 10x with parallel testing. We don't need to worry about updating versions, adding devices, maintaining device sanity anymore. We have been able to easily automate and continuously run all of our test cases through the CI pipeline on LambdaTest's reliable cloud infrastructure. We even use the Lambda tunnel to test our local web apps before the final web launch. The integration with Jenkins CI helped us to accelerate and deploy our quality builds faster.

As of now, the lighthouse feature in Automation is only available in macOS. Would be great if they could incorporate it in more operating systems soon.

UI is very intuitive , features like test analytics, custom tags makes the job for my team easy to filter out tests results for the team.

There were a few stability issues while using simulators and we expressed the concern to the support team. Would be great to replace simulators with real devices for better efficiency.

Our overall test execution time for every release was very high, since we shifted to remote working. We had to find a solution that would help us radically reduce our test execution time and help us with faster deployments. Moreover our UI had multiple API dependencies which prompted us to leverage browser automation testing. By running tests in parallel on the lambdatest platform we reduced our testing time from 50 minutes to 10 minutes. This really helped the team in getting faster feedback, in a better way using LambdaTest integrations and put more focus on code quality. .

One thing I did not like is mobile app testing is not there on the platform. As they offer simulation for mobile web testing only. However, they are promising to go live with it shortly.

LambdaTest Selenium Grid has been really productive for us to substantially shorten our test cycles and sustain cross-browser compatibility on the legacy versions of browsers. This was on priority as we could see the spike in users using our website from the older browser versions. Another feature I like most is its well designed UI, very stable and quick, which makes it easy to use and configure. Using LambdaTest we could run all our functionality tests across various browsers, OS, and resolutions. Using LambdaTest Selenium Grid, we have radically reduced the manual testing effort while ensuring our web application's cross-browser compatibility. It's crucial for us (as a healthcare provider) to make sure that there are no errors. Our test execution time was reduced to 16 mins from 5 hours when executed in parallel on multiple VM’s. This has been extremely helpful!

Their smart testing module needs improvement. We also hope they could come up with some API for automated visual regression testing. One more thing would be it would be good to see if Lambdatest can get real devices to test for mobile automation. I think these features and improvements will be a robust fix to the product.

What have you been using it for and what problems did LambdaTest solve?

We have been using LambdaTest for almost 6 months now. Back then, we were thinking of implementing shift left testing to catch bugs ASAP. With browser testing being one of the most rigorous and time-consuming validations, we were looking for a solution that could help us achieve continuous testing through our GitLab CI/CD pipeline. That is when we landed over a webinar of LambdaTest which demonstrated setting up GitLab CI/CD and integrating it with their cloud. We thought of giving the integration a go and it worked like a charm.

- Had few slugs in the early stage of implementation while running parallel tests, however the support team was helpful to resolve it.

Running tests serially can be a good option when your product is at an early stage. But as we scaled the product, we needed a tool to reduce test time execution and pace up our test cycles. LambdaTest simplified the Selenium testing experience for us with their cloud based platform which allowed us to execute our test cases in parallel on hundreds of browsers. We could easily automate the test cases, get the sessions recorded and share the test reports across the team for assessment using Asana integration. We even leverage the integration with CircleCI to run automated tests on LambdaTest through our pipeline. The CircleCI Orb is handy for testing our privately hosted application.

It’s good to see now that using LambdaTest we could run multiple tests on multiple VM’s, saving us hours of testing time and maintenance cost of local infrastructure.
Personally, one thing that LambdaTest does very well is continuing to provide tutorials for testing, so that we stay up to speed and are even able to learn new things.I definitely saw myself applying a lot of the new concepts that I learned from their blogs.

Analytics could be better, as of now it gives basic information on test status and build status. It would be better if I could analyze groups of tests which are taking longer time to complete, to pin-point use cases which could lead to slowness in user journey. When pandemic demanded us to work from home, it was a daunting situation for us. Initially we were skeptical whether a cloud infrastructure would be able to give us the flexibility, speed and browser coverage we need for our agile sprints. But LambdaTest has been a complete value for money to us.

They usually get the latest browsers on-board under 2 weeks time and are never compromising the experience over legacy browsers at the same time. LambdaTest has made our testing process less tedious with automated parallel testing. Builds that took days to complete with in-house infrastructure were executed in a couple hours. Parallel testing has helped us with faster feedback loops to scale up our go to market efforts.

Having a global user base we have active traffic from varied locations and testing on multiple platforms and browsers is a continuous process for the team. The feature that stands out for us is geolocation testing, all you need to do is run the capabilities and test the website for the desired location. We use Azure Pipelines for CI/CD and LambdaTest extension for Azure has helped us get a seamless testing experience for our privately hosted projects. Thanks to that we are now able to easily ensure browser compatibility for all the changes before we move them to Prod. Kudos to the team!

What really helped us improve our delivery cycle was live debugging while you automate the tests. We could break the script execution at any point and take it over from there by interactive live for the remaining test steps. LambdaTest also provides video recording and screenshots of all your tests in their test logs which makes tracking easier. Offers integrations with Jira, Jenkins which ensures us better collaboration and robust CI/CD pipeline respectively, which is an additional plus for us.

What do you dislike about LambdaTest?

The analytics over automation dashboard can be more intuitive. Good part is that we have relayed some of our suggestions to the support and as per their support team those suggestions are to be considered as a part of their upcoming sprint so we are just excited to see them onboard soon.

As a Fintech company, other than Chrome and Safari, we need to test our website regularly on IE and Edge as well, as our customers are dependent on legacy OS to use our web-application. LambdaTest Selenium Grid has helped us radically reduce the manual testing effort and ensure browser compatibility. Our automation engineers are able to execute Selenium scripts in their preferred language, the cloud infrastructure has allowed us to scale our automation test cycles effortlessly. A majority of our regression suites are now automated, thanks to LambdaTest as we are now able to find more critical bugs with less manual testing efforts.

As said we perform multiple tests for browsers coverage, so we have scaled up our testing pipeline and are now running multiple tests in parallel. This scaling up was way too easy. No more adding VMs for testing locally.Further, offers integration with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab which makes our cycle easier.

Mobile application testing would be helpful for us.We have been asking the support team for this feature but it's yet to be implemented. Would also like to see more devices for screenshot testing.

Few key features that attracted us are the scalability with multiple parallel instances, ability to integrate with JIRA and affordable pricing options. Out of the box Geolocation testing features are a major plus point as well.

What do you dislike about LambdaTest?

Half our team uses Cypress, however it looks like the support for cypress is not there. The tech support guys say it would be there in a few months. But let's see.

Initially we had mixed feelings about trying this tool for our automation tests, however the trial period itself made us realize why investing in this tool would be worthwhile. Never knew our app was breaking in so many browsers !!

LambdaTest provides a good stack of web browsers environments to test against for running both manual and automated tests. The setup was super easy and intuitive, which is a big thumbs up! Interactive dashboard, very easy to navigate, and integration with Jira saves a lot of time. We now run multiple tests in Parallel on different combinations of browsers. So we increased our browser coverage and brought our whole pipeline to the cloud. This also improved the productivity of the team.

We are using the tool for cross-browser compatibility testing of both our production apps and prototypes. The UI is very neat, all features are easy to reach and intuitive, and most importantly, the feature to send issues directly to Backlog is a major time saver. We are now running all our regression test suites over LambdaTest, and we are very happy with the browser coverage we are getting.

Missing feature to fasten the product feedback loop is having a report button that can raise the issue directly (along with a screenshot) to support team. As previously our VM’s crashed and we had to contact them and figured this could be better to track.

What have you been using it for and what problems did LambdaTest solve?

Lambdatest is extremely helpful while performing regression tests for us. Couldn’t have imagined setting up our own infrastructure to conduct parallel tests.

Before taking up the cloud option we used a single machine and 60 UI tests were run serially, the time consumption was a huge setback here. Lambdatest helped us with all the heavy lifting by providing options to choose as many VM’s you need without any maintenance cost. And moreover, our web app runs on multiple platforms and Lambdatest supports these platforms with a great list of browsers to test on. Decently priced, this tool saved us a lot of money and time.

We cater to clients globally and UI testing is a crucial aspect for us. Ability to automate the screenshot tests on lambdatest solved half of our issue. Along with bug management offering is just very effective for us. The good part is their documentations are self explanatory and well written, good for starters. You can’t complain when it saves you good money and time but would like to mention that we found out sometimes issues with speed and loading time of VM's.

Our previous tool was a dent for us in terms of pricing so while looking out for alternatives, Lambdatest seemed to be the right fit that we could explore. Had few doubts for the parallel tests and its pricing but the support team was efficient to justify and explain the process to set up. And since then it's been the permanent tool for us!

Being a fast pace web development agency, we needed a robust platform that could help us serve the demand in time. The tool caters to our needs as the one click bug management is extremely useful for us.

Our developers always perform cross browser tests on their local pages across different browsers and their versions before sending them to the testers. The integrations with 3rd party tools make it more useful. It provides a full development environment that looks very close to the real thing.
Before we started using LambdaTest, we're limited to the browsers and their versions that are available on our desktops and laptops. But now with LambdaTest, we are using Selenium grid of 2000+ browsers and their versions available on the platform.
If you want a solution to replace testing infrastructure that is hard to main and look after, LambdaTest is the best solution according to us.

Sometimes I feel lags in a virtual machine for a very short period of time.
When using high resolutions the tests become slightly laggy.

After the trial we upgraded to the paid plan and now conducts routine checks after we update any new feature on the website.

This has certainly helped us in getting more customers as our website now looks better in almost all combination of environments.

These people have done an amazing job in creating LambdaTest. It helped me perform my tests with an ease. Moreover, I was able to communicate my bug on Slack which eased the pain for my teammates.

What do you dislike about LambdaTest?

Multiple users cannot access a single virtual machine which limits the flexibility.

What do you like about LambdaTest?

It's the cheapest tool that I found making it quite affordable for freelancers like me. They also have a very big feature stack and most of them are available in free plan as well.I also liked it's integration with Asana.

What do you dislike about LambdaTest?

There are not API access right now. Plus you cannot install and run any exe file on their Machines.

What do you like about LambdaTest?

There are multiple platforms similar to this Product. I have been using this product for four months but its features impressed me a lot. They made Cross-Browser Testing very easier. Less pricing, better UI and UX design and integration with Jira, Asana, Trello and Slack features attract me a lot.

A WordPress plugin to directly test new pages would be a plus

LambdaTest should give an integration with Salesforce.

I build a webapp for my company and I want to test it for the browser compatibility across different combinations of OS, browser, browser versions and resolutions.
I found LambdaTest very helpful and it fulfills my testing needs.

What do you like about LambdaTest?

Overall I like everything about this product. Their one-click bug logging feature is what attracted me the most. They have fulfilled my needs.They have a very interactive website and their product is completely flawless.

If you don't find anything according to your requirement that makes you unsatisfied about the product.
I have found everything so i don’t think this product have any flaws.
