Prtg has a mind blowing graphical user interface which has most of the important feature loaded in a single glance.Dashboards can be easily customized with required maps or other sensor statistics.Also prtg has options to add entire Esxi at a stretch and monitor individual vm's effectively.Installation of prtg requires very less pre-requisites and can be installed and configured in minutes.It has a good tech support team to troubleshoot any configuration issues in PRTG.
Prtg is designed to have more support towards windows devices,snmp support for some of the Linux based servers showed some instability issues.Also cost is a bit high even compared to its competitors.Prtg has less support for monitoring bare metal servers and KVM's.
