What is Heimdall Data?

"Heimdall Data provides SQL caching without ANY code changes. We find your SQL bottlenecks *and* resolve them on one platform."

Provides application developers SQL analytics and performance with ZERO application changes. Deployment requires no changes to your existing database infrastructure.
• Do you use a cache today (e.g. Redis, Memcache)? We directly interface into grid-caches for you, and give recommendations on what you SHOULD cache. This saves a lot of development and configuration mistakes. "One-click" the queries you want to cache, and you're done! Pretty cool?
• Automated database failover: It's better than the AWS failover; we are application-aware and will not drop the connection. No more spending development on a failover solution (e.g. MySQL, Postgres PGpool). We also support Read/Write splits.

Very easy to install & get cacheing

(5/5) (VP Engineering at Perch Security)

I'm going through a trial of Heimdall Data's data access software. My setup is a typical web application (python) in front of a MySQL database. Standing up Heimdall Data's (HD) software was very easy for my development environment. I had a small configuration change to host/port for my database connection, and I'm off to the races.

The interface in HD is pretty straight forward. I had to do a little experimentation on how to enable the 'one click cache' for certain queries, but once I figured it out, WOW. The cache hit rate and performance of my application spiked, and it was good.

I highly recommend checking out the product. They offer a free download/trial.

The documentation could use a little improvement, but, once you get past it, it's great.
