"DO NOT USE GUSTO"

What do you like about Gusto?

DON'T USE GUSTO. My company started using them for the first time January 1st, 2021. We were up-sold health insurance. We received an approval email and they let us know we would receive cards in a few weeks. Employee's paycheck had the reduction for the health insurance and the dashboard displayed the active plan selected. An employee had an upcoming appointment and because we were still waiting on ID cards he called the insurance company and found out that the policy was NOT active and that the insurance company had reached out to Gusto FOUR times previously to resolve it and their brokers were unresponsive. Our company actively reached out to Gusto to try and resolve the issue. Customer service was nil. We didn't get a response until I started spamming the founders LinkedIn's. Tomer London sent a nice response immediately saying he would escalate and help. Well next day we received an email basically saying they aren't going to help us and they are punting to their lawyers to communicate with us going forward. Stay away from Gusto - Poor customer service and shameful leadership.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

Customer Service is nil. Leadership is lackluster. Insurance brokers don't take their job seriously.

"I LOVE GUSTO!"

What do you like about Gusto?

The features are easy to use and If I want to add a new employee, I just click to set up a new employee gusto helps me step by step through everything that needs to be done. And for far cheaper than paying an accounting firm.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

Some things are a little inflexible, due to it being a piece of software rather than a service and i think their contractor system is limited and a bit expensive- I would love to add a way to be clearer about invoice numbers and other memo/description issues.

"A Clean UI and a Excelent work!"

// Sales Manager at ConocoPhillips

What do you like about Gusto?

The best of taste is the neat, clean and responsive user interface, your customer service team, always available with almost all the problems, the generation of payroll with the descriptive documentation makes it too good, the complete automation and the due management of parties makes the taste a pretty good software.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I would like to see them add internal triggers and reminders if they have not already done so, so the system would notify us of employee birthdays and work anniversaries. They already have a good welcome email implemented on behalf of the new employees, so the potential is there.

What have you been using it for and what problems did Gusto solve?

With Gusto we were able to put our human resources into operation in just a couple of days with the new system. Users are happy with the ability to access their own portal and retrieve tax documents and payment receipts on their own.

"The friendliest payroll company!"

// Content Marketer at IncentFit

What do you like about Gusto?

We use Gusto for our startup and LOVE it. From the very start, on-boarding as a new employee is simple, friendly, and starts everyone off on the right foot. The software feels like I'm interacting with a very very nice HR manager who is also my friend, and that's kind of the vibe we want at our company.

The dashboard makes it easy to see your pay, benefits, and profile. It was also easy to select which benefits you want, and to change them as needed.

My favorite feature: emails that say "yay, you got paid today!" always make me smile.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

The only thing that I don't like about Gusto is that commuter benefits are handled on a separate website that requires you to create another account to manage them. I believe this is because commuter benefits are managed via a debit card? It's not a huge hassle, but it was the only part of Gusto that wasn't seamless. But really, we have very few complaints at all.
