ActivTrak works when you install an agent onto one or more workstations (either directly, remotely or via Active Directory). The agent is invisible to the user, so no one will know you installed it unless you want them to. Once installed, you can begin seeing usage data within a matter of minutes.

  • The software has the concept of Roles, where you can define multiple roles within the system and decide which users fall into which roles. You can fully define exactly what each role can do within the system - what access they have, what they can see/do. You can have unlimited number of users and they can be managed within the system. The system also handles Single Sign On to make managing the authentication side easier if clients already use that.

  • The system will work well with any existing HR back office system the client has, such as Oracle, Peoplesoft etc. Very often clients find main stream vendors offerings in the compensation/total rewards management area are not very configurable or flexible. So they use our software as a plug-in or add-on to their existing HR / employee management system.

  • Yes! Administrators can grant access to their ActivTrak dashboard as either fellow administrators, or users with view-only priveledges. Administrators can see a manipulate anything in ActivTrak, but view-only user can be assign 'Viewable Groups' which limits the data they have access to.

  • While anyone can use ActivTrak, our core user groups include HR & IT Managers, general department managers, executives and school administrators.
