About Karma Bot

Karma is a tool for peer appreciation and recognition on business chats.


The bot works on Slack, MS Teams and Telegram and tracks team performance ('karma') via simple line of text in a chat interface. It's micro-feedback system for chats. 


There are traditional HR methods that are new to chats. Online interactions replace real life face-to-face communication. Chats at workplaces are relatively new. Chat is new email. More businesses are shifting to Slack and similar tools.


Running a company is hard by itself. For a manager, it's almost impossible to keep track of things if there are more than 20 people on your team. We've been running a software development company for almost 10 years. Most of the work is done remotely, we understand the pain.


Many teams are wandering into the unfamiliar chat environment not knowing what to do: how to keep their employees motivated, engaged, happy?


New positions such as People culture specialist are established. Diversity and most importantly inclusion are vital for a healthy workplace.


The main challenge for us is to bring an order to noisy business chats by actually changing the team culture.


Karma made recognition and appreciation simple. All you have to do is to mention someone with a line of text and '++' on Slack channel. Karmabot records thousands appreciations like that every day. Employees feel recognized.
