Email - After a booking is made the system can be set to automatically be send, voucher details, welcome emails, and a pre-arrival email, post departure email to the guest.

About Hotel Data Cloud

Hotel Data Cloud (HDC) is a global platform that stores descriptive content and information about hotels.

We cover a large array of information: This includes multi-language descriptions of the hotel and its different room types, photos and many details about the hotel's rooms, services, amenities, facilities and property. It amounts to over 600 different data points! HDC also lets you quickly distribute news or temporary changes. Basically, we cover anything a guest might want to know when searching for a hotel and before arriving at your property. The comprehensive coverage makes your hotel discoverable even by small niches of guests that have very specific requirements.

We only source information from the hotel directly and never aggregate from third-party sources that are unrelated to your hotel. The information you have provided is stored in a standardized profile. Your hotel profile is assigned a unique identification code, which is matched with the existing supplier codes. The information is then distributed in a unified data feed. Any updates to your profile are automatically distributed through this data feed. The feed is freely accessible. Using our API, it can be integrated into other platforms, such as booking websites or the distribution systems of wholesalers/bedbanks.

Regardless of who accesses your hotel's information through HDC, they can rest assured that they're receiving first-hand information that is accurate and up to date, as it has been directly provided by you. Even if it's a small travel agent on the other side of the world, accessing your rates through a maze-like chain of resellers, who you have no direct connection with: HDC ensures that they receive first-hand information and don't strew faulty or outdated information about your hotel. In turn, this ensures that potential guests can make smart, well-informed booking decisions. And ultimately, the guests showing up at your front desk know what to expect and nobody faces any surprises.

There is one thing that HDC does not do: We can increase your discoverability and increase the conversion of views into bookings but are in no way involved in the actual booking process. HDC works alongside the existing systems that ensure a seamless booking process throughout all channels, along with the correct transmission of rates and availability. Whether it's a hotel booking engine, channel manager, global distribution system or whatever other solutions are tied into the booking process: HDC's content distribution works alongside and can be integrated into all these systems.

Our long-term vision takes things one step further: We strive to establish HDC as the only place where you need to update information – so whenever something changes or you upgrade your property, all you need to do is update your HDC profile and it is automatically displayed in all systems that may eventually lead to a booking.

Accessing our content is free of charge. and our Basic account for hotels is free of charge. Even our Premium account, which includes additional features like image hosting and distribution, is priced very economically and will easily suit any hotel's budget.

  • Yes. Our Help Center hosts an extensive library of guidelines and answers to frequently asked questions. In addition to this, customer support is available via email and live through an in-app chat function.

  • We are planning to develop a function that will give you access and let you manage multiple hotel accounts from one master account. Please message us if you are interested in using this function or to discuss the joint development of a customized solution for your hotel group.

  • Yes. Anyone interested in accessing the hotel information stored in HDC can connect to our API and integrate our data feed into their own system.

    Connecting to the API is free of cost, which ensures widespread distribution of our data and gives even small companies a chance to access this accurate, up-to-date hotel information. In turn, this ensures that your hotel can be portrayed accurately anywhere, on any booking channel.

  • Does this service integrate with any other apps?
  • There are numerous systems and solutions on the market that let you manage your hotel and its bookings across all channels - ranging from channel managers and global distribution systems, that connect you to travel agents, booking websites and wholesalers, to in-house solutions like property management systems, central reservation systems and revenue management systems.

    Especially if your hotel is part of a group, you may be bound to use these systems and can't bypass corporate guidelines.

    But we have good news: HDC does not aim to replace any of these systems. HDC works alongside these systems. We enhance the booking process by supplying extremely detailed, accurate hotel information that ties directly into the existing processes.

  • Who are the main user groups of this service?
  • HDC is perfectly suited for all kinds of hotels, ranging from small bed & breakfasts or hostels to large resorts or luxury hotels. This is why one of the data points that we collect is what kind of hotel you run - there are many different options for you to choose from and often, several categories will apply.

    Especially for independent hotels without back-office support from a large group or management company, it's not easy to ensure that your hotel is portrayed correctly on the many booking channels that sell your rooms. So we are especially happy to also host information and HDC profiles of smaller and independently run properties.

    Even if you only sell through a few select booking channels and perhaps don't face all the issues that are caused by the complex multi-channel distribution networks, registering with HDC will be beneficial to your business. Letting us distribute your content makes your property discoverable to additional booking channels that could significantly increase your occupancy - and in turn, managing an expanded distribution network requires much less effort than it currently does. And should you chose to continue working with only your existing booking channels, we can still ensure that these channels have access to much more comprehensive, automatically distributed information.

    While our Basic Accounts are free, we've set a reasonable price for our Premium Accounts that makes them affordable even for smaller properties running on tighter budgets.
