DataPlay Add-Ins
DataPlay PowerPoint Add-In has two main working modes:

  • Template mode
    The template is an analysis structure of your presentation. To create a template we work with virtual variables. Virtual variables correspond to research questions and do not have actual values when we create them in a Template. Later on, when the dataset is ready we map virtual variables to dataset variables to generate a presentation.
    Also, repeater variables can be specified on each slide of the Template and when generating a presentation new slide will be created for each value of repeater variables. In addition, “Insert Special field” allows replacing categories of the repeater variables with it’s the labels from dataset during the presentation generation.

  • Presentation mode
    Presentation mode is one of the most appreciated features of DataPlay’s presentation mode is quick and convenient Variable management. It covers the most frequently used commands for cleaning and editing and your data.
    Moreover, DataPlay PowerPoint Add-In allows to calculate frequencies, crosstabs and has many more statistical models integrated and provides automation not only to industry standard types of charts but also allows for customizable charts.
    Other features include color formatting, advanced filtering, and sorting.

One more important DataPlay feature that should be highlighted is that it binds the charts to cross-tabulations and data instead of their resulting tables. This enables the users to keep all their manual work while refreshing the values of charts when there's a change in the dataset.
