Appear.in is a video conferencing platform that allows users to invite up to 8 participants for free, without login and software installation. They just need to create a room, copy & share the link, and appear together for the conversation.

This solution makes video conferencing smooth and easy, without unnecessary friction. It is HTML5-based only, with no flash or plugins required. People can connect with experts around the world, take part in discussions, produce music together, work collaboratively, set up teaching sessions, and other similar stuff. It also features screen sharing and locking the room to other participants.

Appear.in uses WebRTC, the recently published function, which uses JavaScript APIs and HTML5 to stream content. Can be used in Firefox, Opera, Safari, and Chrome, with IE yet to come.

One of the features that stands out is the breakout room creation, which means that one large meeting can be divided into several private meetings.

WebEx Meeting Center's interface is modern-looking, compared to competitors' services. It has the ability to set up meetings directly from the home page and now also possible to have up to seven video feeds simultaneously.
